never let down when i see you've posted a new vid! definitely built my confidence in drop shoting. with me not throwing it a lot it is a donting task to find a bait to rig but this definitely helped!
I’ve had pretty good success with the half shell on Lake Geneva largemouth. I’ve not quite cracked the code for the smallies over there. Always fun to see a fellow Wisconsinite on UA-cam!
The Mann's bait brings me back to childhood, all we used to use in Florida on Harris Chain was Mann's Jelly Worms grape flavored. WalMart is carrying Mann's worms again, not sure about Stingrays though
Hey Travis, what is your go to bait and setup for drop shotting on the upper bay? I know you talk a lot about the spirit shad but I'm guessing you throw that more up north? Thanks for the awesome content!
Do you nose hook the sanko style worms or wacky? Thanks man. I fish the deeper water a little south of Missisquoi Bay, I'd you're ever in the neighbourhood swing by
I am loving the Duo Realis V tail Shad in the 3 and 4”. Smallies smash them on Lake Erie! My PB smallie was caught on one this past summer, 5.8 lbs...give them a try if you haven’t already...great drop shot bait! 👍👌
Travis, What hook do you use for dropshotting? I know you used to use the Owner Mosquito hooks, but I think I saw somewhere you changed to a different hook.
My top drop shot baits Berkley power bait drop shot minnow in Emerald Green Strike king dream shot green pumpkin gold purple flake Biospawn plasma tail candy grass
I push the hook through the flat side up. Technically the bait is designed to be rigged this way. I have however experimented with rigging other baits backwards and there is a time and place for that for sure.
Great video as usual Travis. I like the color "edge" with the half shell. What size box is that? And the black keitech leech works anywhere and everywhere! Smallmouth, largemouth, perch, pickerel you name it, they eat it!
No No not the case! This video was about non goby imitation baits.....I do plan on doing an in depth review of the goby imitation baits and why l love the Gajo's!
SmallmouthCrush now looking at the video again I caught that, there’s no gobies in Candlewood but I’m thinking the Gajo will work if they have a perch looking color, good luck this year brotha, thanks for the vids.

Glad it helped!
those strike king baits are great... they imitate goby i think that's why they work so well
Great video! Always learn something when I watch!! Really looking forward to the goby video.
Great thanks!
Thanks Travis for another great video. Have learned so much, content is excellent.
Awesome I am glad you like it!
The DSLR was definitely the move! Great footage and video!

Thanks! Geneva is a fun lake!
These informative videos are great. From making jigs to stuff like this can't go wrong. Outa try a sweet beaver cut in half (half shell)
Thanks!
Just the info what i am searching for! Thanks a lot!
Excellent breakdown. Took some notes!
Wacky Worm! Great little place. I go there every couple weeks.
The Mann's bait brings me back to childhood, all we used to use in Florida on Harris Chain was Mann's Jelly Worms grape flavored. WalMart is carrying Mann's worms again, not sure about Stingrays though
They still work!

I live in alabama and one of my local shops has those bass magic and sells them on ebay, keeps the good ones for me.
Thanks for the tips Travis. 👍
The last one is the X-Zone wacky leech. Not sure if they still make them but that bait was unmistakable.

Nice breakdown! Keep up the great content!💯💪👊LET'S GO!!!
Good video Travis. Do you nose hook or wacky rig the 3" senko when drop shotting? Thanks, Nick
I do both with that, but I really find myself using it Wacky Rigged the most.
I am loving the Duo Realis V tail Shad in the 3 and 4”. Smallies smash them on Lake Erie! My PB smallie was caught on one this past summer, 5.8 lbs...give them a try if you haven’t already...great drop shot bait! 👍👌
What is your favorite color
The stingray is a great bed bait and on a ned rig
For sure, I tried it on a ned rig in the past and it is the real deal!
Travis, What hook do you use for dropshotting? I know you used to use the Owner Mosquito hooks, but I think I saw somewhere you changed to a different hook.
I use the Gama split shot drop shot hook in size 1 or 2
Any tips to keep the soft plastics from warping the storage box?
No it just happens from the temperature changes mostly. I use those plano with the blue latches for many years and they seem to hold up.
SmallmouthCrush Thanks. Great vids
your videos are full of knowledge. No bs on baits. Bro where do you buy them leech baits.
Gustavo Maciel those were made by xzone lures but I’m not sure if they still make them
Hey Travis, do you use the 4" or the 6" bass magic shakey worms for smallmouth drop shot fishing?
Not too much mostly use them for largemouth although they would probably work. I just like other baits for smallies
My top drop shot baits Berkley power bait drop shot minnow in Emerald Green Strike king dream shot green pumpkin gold purple flake Biospawn plasma tail candy grass
Nice those are some good baits !
That last leech looks like it is made by x-zoneWhat size on the cross tail shad 3” or 4” ?
4 inch
Tourney season is coming up for you and I find it funny you didn’t mention Gajo baits🤔
i love this kind of video, alway seeking for knowledge. :D
Do you rig the half shell and cross tail flat side up or down and why?
I push the hook through the flat side up. Technically the bait is designed to be rigged this way. I have however experimented with rigging other baits backwards and there is a time and place for that for sure.
X zone makes really good leeches!
what is i u color
When you are using the 3" generic wacky worm dropshotting, how do you hook it?
Most of the time wacky rigged. But I will also nose hook it. I would say 80/20 on that
I always wanted to ask...when was the last time you ate fish
I rarely keep fish. If I do it will be a walleye from time to time.
Do you get many walleye on those ?
at times I do
Try the 3" Berkley Havoc Sick Fish
I will look into it thanks!
Great video as usual Travis. I like the color "edge" with the half shell. What size box is that? And the black keitech leech works anywhere and everywhere! Smallmouth, largemouth, perch, pickerel you name it, they eat it!
Ill have to look into that color!
I love dropshot
shad!? in Wisconsin? haha awesome vid!
LSfishing, Mississippi in WI is full of them.
Wacky worm is the best. Great tackle shop
tombart2001 Bartholomew hchrhbbdh what many I even made
No love for your buddy's Gajo baits? I hear great things about them.
Greag video thank you
Yabudy 👊😎
I thought bass magic Shakey tail worms were your all time no. One favorite??????? So make up your mind!!!!
no grubbs
Not a lot for me when drop shotting but they do work! I just need to use them more!

Yes those Gajo work in waters without Gobys for sure. They make a perch color that is really good on Champlain so I assume Candlewood would work also
