The Strike King dream shot is a bait I turned to on a regular basis last summer when no one was catching fish. In six different fisheries in Az this bait always caught fish and was a consistent fail safe.
"Today is the day I catch a world record spot and ruin your birthday FOREVER" -Tim Little. "It burns my soul!" -Matt 🤣🤣🤣 Love those fishing stories, hope for some more from y'all!!
I just experimented with the dropshot this year. I don’t even have any dropshot weights and just tried splitshots. But next year, I plan to seriously spend more time with this technique. Your suggestions are awesome. And I will order some appropriate weights. Thanks again for spending your time educating us.
Man I am drop shorting today. Wasn't sure what bait to go with and was looking all over last night. Then I wake up to the exact video I needed. My man!
I was thinking Tims small swimbait on a dropshot technique was brilliant and had me in flashbacks to days Ive seen them on electronics and couldn't catch the suspended fish... And then you justified it right after by saying how knowledgable it really is! Awesome content as always, im most definitely trying that and some of these baits this coming season!
I dislocated my knee on Monday while fishing on rocks with my jerkbait, finally think I figured out how the jerkbait works. Now I have about 3 months to shop on tackle warehouse since I can’t walk. Keep pumping out the vids! Thanks Matt for the broken leg. 😂
The magnum dream shot is one of my top shaky head baits, that thin tail has some killer action whenever your going over some rocks, good on a t rigged drop shot as well. Great video
I have used the Smallie Smasher nose hooked on a weighted wacky rig hook (flick shake). I use it around docks here in central Illinois for finicky summer time largemouth. It has definitely got me bites when I’m not getting bit on the standard dock flipping baits. It’s my version of power shooting. Lol. Another great video! Keep me coming!
My go to will always be a 4.5" Roboworm, but this year I really started liking the Megabass Hazedong for swim shotting. More durable than the Keitech Shiners and it produced better for me for whatever reason. They have a perfect perch imitation that I'd just creep along the bottom and they'd get me bites when nothing else would work.
Excellent work gentleman. Appreciate all the very informative videos. Can you film a video showing how to fish big swimbaits in the dead of the winter? That would be very helpful.
Still a technique, along with jigging, that I need to put more time in on. I’d love to have confidence in a fall back plan to save my slow days. Thanks guys
Was in the same boat as you a few years ago... I'll say, without a doubt, it helps to be on the fish when you go to a technique you aren't confident in... nothing builds confidence faster than putting them in the boat
I always have a Dropshot tied on all year. Postspawn catching 40 bass to winter days and landing 12 bass on a slightly rainy day. You still need search key points, structure, and trees or docks but it will work.
Not drop shot related, but I JUST got my 2 new Tactical DD 75 cranks in, and my 2 Mega Bass Dark Sleepers! Ready for this weekend! TacticalBassin fan for life!
Awesome video guys. Caught some REALLY nice smallies this fall fishing the dream shot for the first time. I have tried the half shell, with not a ton of success. Do you rig the half shell flat side up or flat side down??
Its crazy how you guys only have 352000 subs but some of the other clowns that have million are killing it. The world just doesn't make sense. Great videos you guys👍👍👍
The Strike King Halfshell came about because Brent Ehler was cutting the Rodent bait in half to fish it the same way you were with the Beaver. So they developed the Halfshell for Brent. At least that’s how I remember it.
Y'all ever tried the ZMan Trick ShotZ or Finesse ShadZ? Seems like the answer to not over working the bait. Since they are so boyant you don't have to continuously work the bait.
would be super cool if you could link to the entire list in one link. I went through the entire ned rig list thinking the whole time, why can't I buy this entire recommended list as 1 item.
Guys, I think a great follow up educational video would be going into more details, with close ups, of hook types and sizes for some of the baits shown today. Because I fish urban creeks with numerous underwater hazards, DS is the last time-consuming rigging I will try so I end going back to weightless or T-rigged plastics.
I have a question for you guys when your nose hooking are you coming all the way through the bottom and out through the top of the worm or you go halfway in and come out a center of the nose of the bait
Can you do a buyers guide on spinnerbaits I know they aren't the sexy lure of the week but they are a key bait for many of us. I primarily use war eagle but they break pretty often and there is no keeper. I've tried several but just can't seem to find a replacement. We use a keitech as a trailer and with the weight hiding system they just won't stay up even glued
Ok guys. I fish the susquehanna river and its level will go from 3 to 6 ft pockets most of the time. Do these baits work in these areas? I never dropshot unless I'm in a deep pocket. Very rare to find them. Your opinion?
We’ve almost pulled the trigger a couple of times. Then we heard about other companies coming out with their own versions. At this point we will wait and see all the options and then make the call 👍
When you're doing buyer guides please show close up shots of the product. The names are good but a cut away to a still shot of the recommended product would be very helpful.
Brutal!! Depending on how much youtube you watch their premium service might be right for you. If memory serves its 12 bucks a month to get rid of all ads, have the ability to download and save vids, plus a couple other features.
The drop shot is a great rig. It's growing on me that I bought a spinning reel just for it. Great guide.
The Strike King dream shot is a bait I turned to on a regular basis last summer when no one was catching fish. In six different fisheries in Az this bait always caught fish and was a consistent fail safe.
Whenever I think of a buyers guide I need u guys to do, you do it! Dropshotting was something I’ve wanted to get into so this was the perfect video!

Buyers Guide back in action!! Awesome info guys! All your hard work is greatly appreciated!
Love watching your show. You've helped me in bettering my fishing.
Definitely going to try more drop shot fishing during the colder months this year- thanks for the info! Great content as always!

I hope we get another fish story soon. Just watched all of them and they’re so fun to listen to.
same
I dislocated my knee on Monday while fishing on rocks with my jerkbait, finally think I figured out how the jerkbait works. Now I have about 3 months to shop on tackle warehouse since I can’t walk. Keep pumping out the vids! Thanks Matt for the broken leg. 😂
Hope it heals up good. My right knee sounds like a cross between gravel moving and a bungie cord about to snap lol. Hurts like hell.
The magnum dream shot is one of my top shaky head baits, that thin tail has some killer action whenever your going over some rocks, good on a t rigged drop shot as well. Great video
I love the 4.5 inch jackal flick shake great bait for drop shot and an aggressive wacky rig.
Super DS vid guys! Matt, yep love that tiny shiver shot. Works terrific in ponds with tiny ewg hook and fished weightless like fluke. God bless!!
Literally best three days of the week
Absolutely love drop shot fishing!! Been hoping for this topic!!🎣🎣👌👌

Just got some of the half shells and going out Saturday on the kayak! Suppose to be like 58! Great video guys and again Thank you!
Excellent work gentleman. Appreciate all the very informative videos. Can you film a video showing how to fish big swimbaits in the dead of the winter? That would be very helpful.
The drop shot like a safety blanket when nothing else is getting bit, always gotta throw it a time or two before moving spots
Yeap, If they aint biting nothing else i pull out the drop shot or ned rig
Great energy and info gentlemen. Always enjoy your channel.
Awesome as always! Thanks guys not too bad, I have almost all need to jump on the roboworm train! Oh and the smallie smasher!
No matter how you rig a roboworm, They catch fish. Margarita mutilator, morning dawn, oxblood light flake.... All confidence baits year round
I've been using Roboworms for a few months now and I've caught largies, hybrids, whites, and even a monster sunfish on the 6in morning dawn color!
If you like morning dawn you should try tequila sunrise. Very similar but if they are used to the morning dawn switch it up!
Bout that time of year. Ready to start power whackin ditchies! Finished 2nd in the points last year going for another top 5 finish this year.
Much love TB I got on some fish this winter because of the tips you gave me
Still a technique, along with jigging, that I need to put more time in on. I’d love to have confidence in a fall back plan to save my slow days. Thanks guys

Awesome video once again guys, bravo 👏!
Missle baits Bomb shot is another great one
Big bite baits is on their way up! Prices are good and baits are amazing

I really enjoy using the keitech shad impact so i can get those jdm colors such as ayu and that nice japanese goby
Great video
im not sure if you guys have tried this color but the strike king dream shot in siren is killer for smallmouth
Always great info, thanks TB. Legend?
A good drop shot bait is also jackals cross tail shad the first time i used them i caught a few on a pink color
Great vid....great info!
great video dudes
Robo makes so many good worms. You could fish only their baits and have success. I always have a Roboworm on.
Awesome video!!!!!
The Strike King Halfshell came about because Brent Ehler was cutting the Rodent bait in half to fish it the same way you were with the Beaver. So they developed the Halfshell for Brent. At least that’s how I remember it.
Morning TB!
I’m praying for you and your family Matt. You too Tim. Thanks for the info.
No wacky rigged dropshot favorites? Mine is the Jackall flickshake (5.8). Highly effective when they’re not hitting nose hooked worms.
You should do a video about what color braid you should choose
Can you guys do a buyers guide on electrons, I’ve seen a lot of new products coming out with live image and honestly I’m lost
Y'all ever tried the ZMan Trick ShotZ or Finesse ShadZ? Seems like the answer to not over working the bait. Since they are so boyant you don't have to continuously work the bait.
Or the streakz 3.75
Should do a buyers guide on power shot set ups I’ve been interested in trying this technique but don’t know much about it
Thx again guys, check out the evergreen C-4 leech... kinda spendy but catches fish 4 sure...
would be super cool if you could link to the entire list in one link. I went through the entire ned rig list thinking the whole time, why can't I buy this entire recommended list as 1 item.
up here in NE sungill is a year round producer
The paddle tail drop shot. Does it work winter fishing? Finally found some locally, want to try it this winter

You need to check out 5150 baits. They are new and making a name here in Arizona.
I have been fishing a lake not far from your old haunts in Clear lake that is
Tim on the paddle swim bait drop shot cast, how much line do you recommend between the weight & the swim bait?
I have a question for you guys when your nose hooking are you coming all the way through the bottom and out through the top of the worm or you go halfway in and come out a center of the nose of the bait
How high is the hook above the sinker on a drop shot
Sorry to be off topic but i notice a legend boat whats up with that and what is it all about i just landed a 14 alpha 199.
When is Gloomis releasing more nrx rods?
Yeah! Who's Legend?
I noticed you guys typically throw really light spinning rods
Is there any situation you guys would move up to throwing a MH vs the typical M or ML?
What about the 4 inch caret
You guys need to try the streakz 3.75 from z man
Have you guys had the chance to try the new curado 300k? If so what do you think?
Yes and love it!! We have put it through some serious paces on striper already and have been very happy with the results.
@@tacticalbassin awesome! I’m gonna get it for a musky setup then
Different boat. Matts or Tims?
Or CCs boat ?
I thought they all 3 had Champions...
I want Tim in a bullit... flying down the lake at 90mph... spinning gear flying out all over the place.
I see you have the Vanford listed in gear recommendations, are you guys still expecting that second run of them coming in sooner rather than later?
From what ive heard from my local shop is Shimano has been working hard to get stuff out SOON!
American legacy had them a day or 2 ago.
What shimano expride power and action would be good for all around Texas rig fishing. Please help me out
Probably the the 7'2 or 7'6 (depends on if you like shorter or longer rods i guess) either medium heavy or heavy.
Have you guys ever fished Washington? If so, what baits worked
Whats a good rod a step up from the budget but not quite as expensive as the favorites? ~$200?
Slx rod nasci reel. Or step up to intenza and go down to a Sedona reel

We've got you covered 👍
No Berkley flat worm?
Ok guys. I fish the susquehanna river and its level will go from 3 to 6 ft pockets most of the time. Do these baits work in these areas? I never dropshot unless I'm in a deep pocket. Very rare to find them. Your opinion?
Will you guys ever get the livescope or active target?
They will get humminbird mega live comes out in spring
We’ve almost pulled the trigger a couple of times. Then we heard about other companies coming out with their own versions. At this point we will wait and see all the options and then make the call 👍
I want to get into drop shotting but i cannot get a polomar knot down for whatever reason😒
Add the Berkley flat worm to this list
2nd time noticing the Legend Boats sticker. Someone get a new/used boat?
TRY 'BFISHN LURES IN PADDLE TAIL
👍👍👍👍
👍

Could just be a deck covered in berkley maxscent flatworms and your followers will have fish jumping in the boat.
Worst drop shot worm of all time. That’s why they didn’t make the video! 🤣🤣 pretty sure my TW Black Friday order includes an entire box of them
Berkley Flatworms are the most popular this year. Surprised they weren't mentioned.
It is obscene how many commercials youtube makes us watch these days. Sorry guys i cant take it. I was at the 1:30 mark and got ads. See ya
Brutal!! Depending on how much youtube you watch their premium service might be right for you. If memory serves its 12 bucks a month to get rid of all ads, have the ability to download and save vids, plus a couple other features.
Drawpshawt.
To save some $$$ couldn’t you just get 6” and if you need to you can just shorten it up ?
ROBO SXE SHAD
AAAAAAASAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHYHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DROP SHOT BAITS ON A RECOIL RIG
