Okuhara won the World Championship in 2017 and Yamaguchi first realistic chance of getting gold is in 2019. She was the first seed and the world number 1 in that year, and was at the same age as Okuhara in 2017. However, she sustained a back injury that set her back for at least half a year. There is no World Championship in 2020 because it was supposed to be an Olympic year. So the next World Championship after that is 2021, and guess what, she won it that year and again in 2022. While mentality is definitely important, luck and opportunity are just as important. Yamaguchi didn't have hers in 2019, not because of her lack of mentality but her injury came at the inopportune time. Okuhara capitalized her chance of winning in 2017 in absence of TTY, that's why she got hers earlier than Yamaguchi. We can discuss about Okuhara vs Yamaguchi mentality but using who gets the World Championship first is an erroneous example.

平高球真的对小个子很友好 所以打小个子球员 大角度调度（包括主动左右勾，接杀挡对角） 最有效 ；如果被迫进入左右底角，要么突击追身 要么给底线高球（不是平高）更好

最近Yamaguchi更猛一些。感觉从奥运会开始，各个队伍所谓的老二都牛逼了起来。Yamaguchi算一个，还有就是黄鸭组合。拿黄鸭为例，套用小品里边的话，雅思组合：“不带这么玩儿的。这都半年了都宣传我呀” ：）
