    Thanks mate i also need to treat it at somepoint for protection but its getting time then laying on your back iff you havent got a lift

    On my many visits to your country I have always been amazed by the number of rusty vehicles. I have yet to come across a rusty E36 on my side of the Atlantic. It must be the amount of salt on your roads in the winter. Useful information though. In Europe E30s had rust issues too.

      @gertstolk Interesting! Some places in Europe don't get rust, but a lot of the United States does.
      I have found the battery tray and inner fender spots to be an issue even on clean cars, though. Sometimes, those are isolated by failed seals.

    Great video will be some interesting info for many e36 owners out there but upto yet my 29 year old e36 never been welded but i do know few areas now were it will one being battery tray thats the worst and other are pin holes at minute on few of the jacking points also that lower part of the passenger wing is bubbled up and that will need cutting out and replacing

      @mikesphoenix_e46m3 Unfortunately that is how it goes, lol. Mine is very clean, relatively speaking.
      Once you get to welding, that is a whole other ball game and not for the feint of heart imo. A lot goes into correctly lining up the body for welds. Goodluck with yours when you do it!
