Do you think its worth it to customize air force ones on the website or by painting? I am afraid of the paint chipping, how do you prevent this and how do you clean them?
We recommend about 10-15 minutes to be sure. You might also want to be sure to apply very thin layers of paint. That helps to ensure the paint dries in between layers.
Hi there, no. We do not have any of the custom colors available in the catalog. We are more than happy to help you with a color you need if you reach out to us at info@angelusdirect.com
I know this is angelus video, but does anyone know if krylon matte finishing spray will be enough or is the angelus matte finisher absolutely necessary. I have the angelus prep, the paints, and the duller, but I forgot the matte finisher and really wanna work on my shoes tomorrow. I have the krylon spray finisher so is it enough?
It really isn't good. The Angelus finisher, and other finishers made for shoes have a lot more elasticity than the Krylon. Krylon will look good on a shelf, but will crack if you try to wear it.
What can I sostituite the finisher with? I only painted a very small part of an old pair of shoes and don't feel like buying a whole finisher polish bottle lol
Hi Sabrina, the finisher is not needed. It is used to change the look of the finished item. Not necessarily seal it. That will be up to the preparation of the item. If you like the look of it once you are finished, you can forgo the finisher.
@@division1806 Hey we definitely would have gotten to it in this time frame. Can you please email info@angelusdirect.com then as well? Sometimes the filter on brand can be extremely aggressive. I apologize for the wait.
@@AngelusBrand Thanks. What kind of colors need a gradient of layers with a mixture of % white? (80%white + 20% color) (50%white + 50% color) (25%white + 75% color) (0%white + 100% color)
We do not have a primer. You would use the leather preparer and deglazer prior to applying the paint, then you can use the finisher once the paint has dried.
Acetone is a lot harsher than the one we carry. So you would need to base that on the leather you are working on. Soft leather, use ours, faux or harder leathers like the ones on these shoes, you can use the acetone. You will start to know a lot more on what to use once you prep multiple shoes.
Sorry to hear that. Most of the time this is due to the preparation of the product. We have many videos that go over that extensively, as well as chat if you want to send over a few photos. We can help! info@angelusdirect.com

Simple to make and nice custom ✌️ good exercise for every beginner 😜
LOOKS SOOOO GOOD
you can literally do this look with any color too. that’s the cool part about this design
Exactly!!
Love these colors. We've uploaded a lengthy vid showing how we like to paint our Nike Air Force 1 Lows with similar colors.
Love this STR8 to the point
We appreciate your feedback! We're glad you've enjoyed our videos.
every video comes bigger and better..
love the video quality and the cusom work
Sheeeesh🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love these videos! Keep making more please 🥰
These turned out so dope‼️
ayo!! i'm in the middle of doing a brown tones AF1 right now lolol
Nice tip
Did you use heat gun to dry the pain? Tnx
More!!!!
So the tan mixture, is what's on the toe of the shoe? I got confused.
trop joliiiie :)))
Thank you for this video
Do you suggest using sandpaper on areas you will be painting?
It definitely doesn't hurt if you want to be extra thorough. We just say to be careful of the stitching.
Thanks for your time
When I use that red vinyl tape, the adhesive sticks to the rubber and makes the surface sticky and is difficult to remove. Any suggestions ?
3m scotch tape
Masking tape
lemon oil will remove any tape residue. :)
What brushes are used and it would be helpful if the products are in the description
How much of each paint color should I buy to do just 1 pair of shoes? Aside from the white, would a 1oz bottle work for the other colors?
ONE small bottle can cover up to 3 pairs of shoes! That's 3-5 thin layers. A little goes a long way.
Do you think its worth it to customize air force ones on the website or by painting? I am afraid of the paint chipping, how do you prevent this and how do you clean them?
It's all in the prep. We have many videos that go over this extensively. Just pay close attention to the creasing areas etc.
I will recreate these

sadly i do not have the color sand :-( any other alternatives?? or any suggestions on what i should do?
maybe like a dark gray color?
i was wondering the same!! did you end up finding a good color? i really want to do this, i just can’t find the sand color anywhere :(
my old air forces are extremely dirty and I was wondering what color should i pain the soles as they are yellow now
Hey there! try our Sole Bright in this case. That will un-yellow the soles.
Anybody know the name of the instrumental at 2:15..its kinda 🔥🔥🔥
In Tact by ballpoint
how long should the drying process be between each coat of paint?

I want to do something like this just with blue colors

Will play in the sand work as well ?
i want to know the same thing haha
That's definitely a good one to try. All you need is some white paint to tone it to the levels you want.
Nice

Can you guys make a video with the midnite green paint? Not much examples on it and I’m hesitant on purchasing. Thanks!

If the shoe were black, would it be necessary to put a white or gray layer on it first?
Most of the colors that were used here are very opaque. You would not need to apply a white in this case.

@@AngelusBrand The green on a white shoe?
Do they need a primer or is acetone enough?🤪
The preparer she used in the video would be enough
Will this paint work on the sb canvas shoes?
Yes! It will work perfectly fine on SB canvas material. Just be sure to mix the paint with 2-Soft in a 1:1 ratio.
Dope
Do the sage green ones please! I dont know which colors to mix lol’
Try some Mint, and a Green.
🔥🔥🔥
Can I use a air brush instead of brushes?
Of course!
Why mix the colors for those shades if you can purchase colors as is?
Can you go over it if say you want a new colour?
Of course! follow the same preparation steps. It's just a little messier this time around.
Hey is it problematic if I got the deglazer on parts of the shoe that I won’t be painting?
Yes, it takes off the manufacturer finish.
No just remember that when you put the finish on at the end to also put it on those parts that you’ve taken the finish off by mistake 👍🏼
What type of paint are you using?
These are Angelus Brand paints. You can find them at our distributor www.angelusdirect.com
I want my Cortez to be like these
How do you apply the primer at the beginning? Also how do you apply the sealer at the end ?
We do not have a primer. You would use the leather preparer and deglazer prior to applying the paint, then you can use the finisher once the paint has dried.
are those waterproof? or does it come off
Once the paint is dry, it is completely waterproof.
Can i use rubbing alcohol instead of deglazer?
You can, but it may take a little longer to get to your results.
It’s sad that the edges were left raw for the final photos on Angelus’ own page
So do you use acetone or not?
Acetone is a lot harsher than the one we carry. So you would need to base that on the leather you are working on. Soft leather, use ours, faux or harder leathers like the ones on these shoes, you can use the acetone. You will start to know a lot more on what to use once you prep multiple shoes.
Can you please make a tutorial for sage green nikes?
I can definitely recommend it!
what’s the difference between prep and deglazed vs acetone
Nothing
I had everything till I forgot I needed the preparer (haven’t started yet)
Grab some nail polish remover, as long as it has acetone, you can use it!
I can not mix the colors well at all, any way you can sell me a bottle of the 2 darker tan colors? Please
Feel free to order online! We have so many other colors that would be close to choose from!

Why does my matte finisher make the shoe shinny -_-
