Anything on a car which carries pressurised fluid can give a variety of issues. You did well there Mark especially with the hydrolastic ..I had a genuine Churchill pump, but that's also not without it's issues .. Whenever I heard "Mr Cockup" knocking on the workshop door I'd hum the song "It Don't Come Easy" by The Beatles.. There must be a modern equivalent 😅.. Car's looking great now it's back on it's wheels and pumped up.
The correct way to do it is use the Liquid Levers pump, the one the dealers used. It vacates as in vacuums the system to get rid of all the air then fill it with the fluid. The way you have done it, there will still be air in it and you will be compressing air effecting the ride. I have that pump, you if
Yes, but i don't have one and they aren't cheap, best next equivalent. If it doesn't feel right once i get it driving then the local mini garage has one so i'll ask him to do it when he does the MOT. 🙂
Well done Mark. And I thought setting up the high-Lo’s was a pain!
Thanks Edward. It's not everyones choice but i like the hydro, it's just a bit of a faff. 😅
Never easy for any of us mate!
Minilife Matt! 😅😂
Great job mark I know what you went through to get both sorted great video Keith
Thanks Dad. x

😆 Another step closer to the end. I have considered buying one but these new type ones seem to work ok and a fraction of the cost!
A tricky job done I hated hydro in my old 66 always went down lol
Lol, probably faulty displacers Mark. 🙂
Fortunately I don’t need to worry about this (no hydro) one less thing to worry about 🤣
😆It's such a comfy ride though, you're missing out! 😂
Hiya Mark-what a faff that looks. Great to see the S on it's wheels again though. Keep well.
It definitely was a faff Dave 😅
Can't beat a good fail, it's the only way we learn 😅 What do they do to refurbish the hydrolastic units?
I like to learn the hard way! 😅 As far as I'm aware they strip them down then re-hose them. Ian and Dawn Kennedy on FB do them.
