00:39 - Intro
Project Racing Green is my 1989 Rover Mini Racing Green that has had an official John Cooper conversion fitted by John Cooper Garages. The standard 998cc engine is boosted from 41BHP to 60BHP thanks to the engine upgrades. The upgrades include a polished and ported Cylinder head with enlarged valves, LCB exhaust system, Roller tip rockers, and Twin HS2 SU Carburettors. The interior enhancements include walnut door capping, walnut dashboard, alloy door furniture, and luxurious John Cooper emblem full leather GTS recliner seats. - Авто та транспорт
The seats look good. We all have a bit of patina as we grow old but, you will also show an additional scar to remind you of a memorable rebuild. Take care,
Seats look good. Squeaky bum time with the fire 🥵
Seats look really good. Leather stretches and creases easily, especially if the roam / structure underneath deteriorates.
Even new seats will look used after a short period of time
Bit scary there Keith seat look ok from here your on a roll with all the new parts
Flambė the seats would give them patina for sure 🔥
LOL
Super jealous. I am saving up to do my indicator assembly unit. Previous owner broke the left indicator piece and now it doesn't stay indicating or whenever it does, it'll just go off again
Another load of goodies, I can’t help think about your poor bank account but we all know it’s worth every penny to make another classic mini look that good. It’ll all be so worth it.
Blimey that ending wasn’t expected but so glad you noticed the flames before it got too bad. Hopefully the electrics are ok and the carpet isn’t damaged. Just goes to show that things like this can happen so quickly.
Cant wait for the engine
Interior looks mint. Nic eone
Hey that's the same piece I got from where you live.
I would replace that cable , the plastic will probably crack after being heated up like that.
And the leather on the seats look really loose , they should've tightend that up to be honest.
Take your time with electrics Keith , don't do quick connections.
Stay safe.
Good point, for the cost of a cable, I think I'll just put a new one on
You nearly had a flaming red!
LOL, nearly!
I think hats expensive for what they've done and wouldn't use them again..
Car looks great though and lucky escape with the cables shorting
I paid around £500 15 years ago for some repairs on my ERA leather seats so I thought it's probably about right with inflation
glad all is well I had a dead short in my old S due to me putting a large bore maniflow and the main cable under neath melted to the exhaust very scary
Bloody hell 😂
Will you be showing how to fit the speedo cable?. It would help me if you could. Thanks 👍 😊
Sorry, I've already fitted it, but to be honest there is not much to show as I just removed the dash pod and poked the cable through the hole in the bulkhead. Did you need to see how the dash pod comes out?
@@classicminiworkshop it was more on the engine side. As my engine is in the car
Seats look great, don’t want them to look new in my opinion, take it easy mate, don’t rush, we all need to see it finished , but no mistakes needed, we all do it. Did you get my email, as I had a bit of a problem sending it, cheers Keith
No, I didn't get an e-mail? millermilla@sky.com
Do you think there will be much power increase by using the roller rockers?
No, only marginal increases. They are 1.3:1 ratio so almost the same as standard. The benefit is in the roller tip which should reduce valve and guide wear
Will this car be going up for sale or is it being kept ?
I'm going to keep it. I've spent to much money on it to sell straight away LOL
Seats are not great keith, i would be a bit annoyed paying that amount of money for the result you got. Not even right leather used on bolster. I'm no expert but watch many car channels on UA-cam, and thats not right. Keep up the great work guys love the channel. If it is ok, for for what you expected happy days❤
For the price I thought it was OK compared to what I've paid in the past, but I wouldn't have minded paying more for better if that makes sense
Hiya Keith-seats look great I think. Bit of a close call with the wiring loom though. Keep well and keep going. Nearly there now.
