I've got a couple videos about them up on my channel too, from the opening perspective rather than the value perspective. They're just a ton of fun to rip.
Thats awesome! Such a good low risk with high reward set as well. So many products these days don’t even have the opportunity to pull a fairly big card from a $2 pack, but with these Timmies cards you can! Thats one of the things I like the most! Such a good set for the people! 🔥
It's fun hobbie for the rookie collector. For the hardcore collectors, not so much. Like someone mentioned earlier, the fun is sorta sucked out with people hoarding box sets and then charging much more that limits the fun had collecting and trading/selling the cards with others.
@@flippinoutsc I got the Edmonton Oilers franchise trio. And the Jersey relic of Mika Zabanejad. Also four of the timbits to NHL and five of the Sidney Crosby retrospective.
The set looks pretty good this year. I actually really like the Above the Ice set. I hated pulling the memorable moments last year, so happy to see them gone. But what were they thinking with the trios checklist? No Calgary or Winnipeg? For a canada only product you'd think they'd at least get all the canadian teams.

Tim Hortons is an interesting set I'd say. But over the years I feel like it's just gotten worse and worse, the 3D cards and the inserts especially, I don't know. I've also had terrible pack luck with Tim's cards since 2016-17, I'm probably cursed cause I've never pulled a single 3D card or better after spending $50-100 on packs for every set over all these years and just gave up after the legends set. Didn't bother with 2023-24 or the duos set, but this new rare Sid insert is tempting for me to come back cause I love Sid. I'll have to think about it but great video though
Ya, it’s very repetitive in my opinion which I don’t love. At least the basic inserts are. I really actually love the new Timbits inserts. I think having the 3D effect with them will be a sweet looking set! As for the pack luck, this year has the least amount of packs since I think 2021, so you have a better chance of your pack luck turning around. Good luck!

Hahaha I mean, they’re not the worst cards out there. I think I’m just jaded due to loving the 2015-16 ABTI cards and really wanting those ones back! But, maybe I shouldn’t have been so hard on them!
@@flippinoutsc He means that Upper Deck doesn't put the players' stats from the previous season on the card backs, which is very annoying. The most recent stats on the cards are from 2 seasons ago.
@@flippinoutsc I assume that they start production on them before the previous season is finished. That can be the only logical reason. It's the same with UD's MVP set. Those cards have no stats on the backs!
@montrealsports29 I would also assume that they start the design process at the very least, but I’m sure they could print them right after the season is done. And even if they only have regular season stats, that gives them from Mid of April to Beginning of October to get them done. MVP drops a little earlier so I get it, but still. Would be a nice touch. Or like MVP, maybe just leave the stats off altogether.
To be honest, he’s not far off. It’s got a small value, but Bure was sadly a rookie in the early 90’s which, along with most of the 80’s is the time they call the junk wax era. They produced WAY too much product and inside the product, none of the cards were “special”, no parallels, no jersey relics, no autos, nothing. So there are an absolute TON of those cards floating around and therefore none of them carry much value. They just simply aren’t rare enough. The only player that really holds decent value from that time frame is the OPC Premier rookie of Jagr. Lindros is basically worthless and same with Brodeur. They fall in the same time frame as Bure. So, even though it’s a great card and really cool, your card shop owner was correct.
Not sure which rare cards you are talking about, but all of the rare cards are possible. The autos, jerseys, and jersey/autos are definitely few and far between, but that’s what makes them special. If they were common, they wouldn’t be all that special at all. Hope you can find some! 🍻
Meh too many Tim Hortons sets now. It’s like they release 2-3 sets per year now. Initial hype is strong if you buy quickly and resell. Otherwise they just fizzle out.
I agree that Tim’s should really relax with the amount of sets they put out or they will start losing their true collectors. But at the same time, from their perspective, TONS of collectors who aren’t in the hobby otherwise love their sets and that’s all they buy. So as long as those people keep buying, they don’t care too much about the hard care collectors. The sets bring in tons of clientele that aren’t normally visiting Tim’s on a regular basis so in turn they’re great promos for them.
Very informative video so good job. But, I disagree with Celebrini Timmy's rare cards being worth as much as Slaf's. Celebrini is another level or 2 higher than Slaf due to his hype. I think he would've gone No. 2 in the Bedard draft (if we don't look at Michkov for his reasons in falling). Rare Celebrini Timmy's cards should fetch somewhere in between Bedard and Slaf.
Thanks! And totally could be. A card like that one is super speculative just due to the fact that Celebrini really hasn’t had any cards yet, so it will be very interesting to see where it lies. I just counter that argument with the fact that Celebrini is a Shark and Slaf is a Hab and no matter the skill level, Habs fans always pay more haha. But either way, should be interesting to see where it goes! 🍻
@@flippinoutsc Though you're right in the Habs cards selling more than Sharks cards, there are exceptions for the really talented players. Celebrini does have cards before this year's Timmy's cards. He's got several versions of UD game dated cards. I hit one (silver version) on UD e-pack sometime ago and sold the card right away for $50. Though the price has fallen (like all cards usually do), the hype alone was enough for me to sell his card for that price. Of course, that was before he was drafted by the Sharks. Still, Celebrini is very talented so I expect him to be a superstar in the future. I think he's a 100+ point player in the future, but I don't see that in Slaf at all (I could be wrong about Slaf though).
These are the fools gold of hockey cards. Overproduced and if you want a complete master set it’ll cost you big bucks. Not exactly a recipe for good value.
They’re some of the cheapest packs out there where you can pull cards with actual value. I would take Tim’s cards all day over MVP so I wouldn’t exactly say that they have bad value. $1.50/$2 doesn’t get you much these days. Can’t pull a Crosby auto /87 in MVP. Not that the odds are really in your favour in this product, but are they ever?
I stopped buying these because it was almost impossible to complete and people were buying them up by the cases and then holding a ransom when reselling them. Took the fun out of it for me.

This brand seems like it’s a low end product and it’s paper.
Definitely not paper stock like OPC. I think they're actually quite well made. They're more often then not very good condition wise as well.
@@flippinoutsc That’s 1 thing I didn’t understand why most modern hockey’s cards in general are not very good PC.
Low end how? These are sturdy cards, do you want them to weight like 1lb each or something?
@@boostys9306 U know value money wise.
A lot of cards are damaged from factory that I have been getting. Not happy . Do better upper deck.
Sad to hear that! Hopefully they clean things up with future products!
