    Thank you, it’s not just me. I bought them and I like the clear ones and will stick with those. Your manicure looks great

    they don't accept returns. so it's in their financial interest to not give us swatches so we're more inclined to buy a few diff shades. thanks for sharing!

    Wow I was having so much issues with the two sets of neutrals I bought and I couldn’t figure out why that was the case. Watching this video really explained exactly what I felt without me even knowing it. Apres needs to step up there game on this one

      That's such a shame! I do hope that since they've just released better versions of their original tips, that they'll consider doing the same for the neutrals 🤞

    This was very useful for me. I was considering them but was not sure if shade. Since the shades aren’t true to tone in pictures i am gonna just get the Sasha extend gel.

    If you have flatter nail beds try the diami canoe tips. They are a Korean brand and have replaced all of my tips. Just make sure to get the gel they use to attach them. It's $$ but they are the best.

      Does the diami canoe gel come with the tips? I see them on Amazon but I don't see the gel. Do you have a link?

      @@raspberrykisses7174 I had to buy it from online nail supply shops that distribute Korean and Japanese products ie. Luna Beauty store, danjinail, diami. Be warned it is always sold out. But that base is a game changer thin, weak nails or ppl that are hard on their hands. It's a rubbery texture, shock absorbent, flexible.

    • @cai_nwa_ogu
      @cai_nwa_ogu 2 роки тому +1

      @@raspberrykisses7174 if you can't find it kokoist is coming out with their own version. The kokoist description sounds a lot like the diami gel, ie that it's "shock absorbent and flexible." Looks like they paid attention to diami....

    The neutrals work just like the other apres tips for me. I do have to costomize but i've had to costomize all tips( beetles, ENC, Kiara Sky) to make them look more like a pro job.
    Apres is the only type of product I use for extensions now. I had years and years of poor retension. I couldnt get any product that didnt pop off. Acrylic, ANC, poly gel, or soft or hard gel. I did have better luck with some more than others.
    Anyway, long winded but Apres is the only product that lasts more than 2 weeks on me ; with heavy hard use on my hand, no less. I quit my desk job and now use power tools and do heavy lifting for a living. Too bad they didnt work for you. Valid point on the them showcasing the colors though and not having the same thinness in the cuticle as their clear tips.

    Thanks for the review. I bought the regular system last month, used it twice so far, and love them. I’ve have been looking at the Neutrals, but can’t figure out my perfect shade. I’m in the US, and they’re going to have to be deeply discounted before I spend $14.99 on 150 tips, when the regular extensions are $27.99 for 500. Btw, what’s your favorite neutral/nude gel color?

    • @memnailss

      Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed it :) I honestly would have been happy to pay £14.99, but that's because the alternative is more expensive hahah... Great Q! I've actually started listing and linking my fave nude gel polishes in my description, there's a good amount of shades to check out there. Hope it helps x

    Well i guess i found this review about a week to late. I ordered and just received them 2 days ago. I too am very disappointed. I have every issue with them that you do. I also had trouble trying to figure out the color to get so i bought two different ones. To me the sizing is off too. But like you said the cuticle side is so much thicker and not rounded. They dont fit my nails at all. I will have to file them all. Seeing your video makes me feel so much better that it wasnt just me who thought these things.

    My question has been: how can the extend gel cure through the opaque color? Thanks for the review

    • @memnailss
      @memnailss  2 роки тому +4

      Apres has said "the pigment of each shade is infused into the formula of the tip, so they cure as if they are sheer" in response to comments on their IG page. They have also recommended curing these tips for "longer" to be safe, so I'd probably cure for 90 seconds.

    What do you do when a nail is too small? I recently order the sculpted stiletto medium because I loved how they look. But when I tried them I couldn't find a size for my thumbs. I usually have this problem but I didn't expect Apres nails to fit so small. Even their 00, which was only slight larger than the 0, was no where close to fitting. I couldn't even apply them further down the nail and then do an overlay like I would do if I encounter this problem. So disappointed because the nails are a really nice quality. Is there a fix or will I have to go ahead and list them on Facebook marketplace lol?

    • @memnailss
      @memnailss  2 роки тому +2

      Oh gosh sorry, that's so frustrating! Après is not very size or length inclusive (for people with short nailbeds), so this actually comes up quite a lot. I'm afraid I don't have a fix, but if you are looking for a more size-inclusive brand, Kokoist is a great alternative. Also far more affordable as a system.... I have a video comparing the two, that you can check out if you end up selling them and start looking for an alternative - ua-cam.com/video/sTALHsDq6pQ/v-deo.html

      My suggestions, if you don’t mind, would be to use the 00, prep and apply it as normal, then do a full over lay of bottled builder gel since it’s easier to control, making sure that you’re covering the exposed areas so you can seal and prevent lifting. Finally, just buff, and apply your gel polishes as desired to finish. A second option could be to apply the nails with a clear poly gel and smooth the overflow over the exposed natural nail bed and the cover nail. This one will require a bit more buffing to smooth out, but should give you a nice blend. Hope these suggestions work out for you, cause it sucks to feel like you’ve wasted money.

    Very informative video and very detailed!
    As far as the industry as a whole…..
    With how advanced Technology/Electronics are now days, there’s absolutely NO excuse for not being able to come together….get it together and find a solution so that customers are able to get an accurate picture of what something looks likes! Also, the industry could come together as far as sizing, so there isn’t so much discrepancy! It’s hard enough buying full coverage nail tips and having to take into consideration your nail bed length, when you’re trying to pick your sizes! 🙄
    Long story short…..the industry COULD make it easier for us if they wanted to, but they don’t want to when it comes down to
    💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸!!! If they can have us buying different sizes depending on the company….depending…..
    depending…..depending, then they are bound to make extra money because we, as the customers, are making mistakes with sizing, then not being able to return the product, etc….just putting more 💰💰💰 in these businesses pockets! So, where’s the motivation for the business to want to “change” things, when they can just keep it “status quo”?!? 🤷🏽‍♀️

    Thank you! Very very informative, helps in my decision making process... they are currently offering these on sale at 2 boxes for $24.99, and I suspect it's because of all that you've pointed out, they aren't selling as they'd hoped! Still, even with them being on saleright now, on the fence about them. Good point you made about use by pros on clients - not cost effective at all! Again, thank you for the deep-dive review! 🙏🏽❤️

    I feel we should make one thing perfectly clear. At the beginning of this video you mentioned the words soft gel tips.
    Every tip in the marketplace is made from plastic. I’ve been doing nails for over 30 years, I’m 63, I’ve researched this subject. Soft gel tips refers to the manner in which the tips are applied. Eg: an extend gel then cured.
    There is no factory on the planet pouring soft liquid gel into molds, curing thousands of tips at a time under UV light, they’re ABS plastic, all of them. The price these companies then charge is astronomical. I think this company should have stayed with the original tips they created such a storm over because everyone loved them.
    Interestingly, I can’t find on their site anywhere the materials the tips are made from, they keep up the illusion right through that they are made from soft gel. Not so. I love you bringing light to this subject 🇦🇺❤️

    • @memnailss
      @memnailss  2 роки тому +6

      I couldn’t agree more! I was just reading out what was on the box 😅 I have questioned how they’re able to make this claim without solid and visual proof, but alas. Even with my short time in the nail industry, I realised that all the tips had to be made of some grade of abs. I appreciate that brands like Kokoist are transparent about it, but unfortunately others aren’t. Unfortunately, we live in a world where branding and marketing takes precedence over ethics, so they’ll keep charging what they want. And, since the mould of the tips are the best I’ve personally ever used, I’ll likely keep paying through my teeth for them 🙃🫶🏾
