Hi. New here. I appreciate this video in particular because I am new to the whole nail biz and I need a cheap reliable nail to start off with unfortunately I bought modelones so back to the drawing board... 🤔
Thanks for joining and welcome to the fam. I’m glad I could help. I’m not sure if other modelones tips are good but the ones in the kit are particularly bad.
Ugh I'm so glad you did this. I've been looking for a non-bias comprehensive comparison of all the popular versions of this method/application. Sometimes I just want a factual explanation rather than chit chat and rambling and that's where you come in! Your channel is small but really REALLY helpful I definitely appreciate your videos! I hope to see you grow and have even more success :)
I am super late here, but this was very informative. To me, Apres is the ONLY line that carries 00 size for the thumb. Apres recently launched a 000 size, which is awesome!! I have wide nail beds on my thumbs and have not been able to find any other gel tips that are wide enough for my thumbs.
I have flat nail beds and so far, the Tipex instant apex has been amazing. I have both the original and pre etched and love them both. I still use my dehydrator to roughen the inside before applying the gel glue.
@@dnrgirl Kokoist are flat! They fit! Gellip i think they are called… re Tipex- how are they better for flat nail beds if they have a deep c curve? Then I’m just filling all that space with gel no? That’s how I get all the air bubbles :-/
Finally 🙌🏼 I have been wanting a video like this that doesn’t just focus on one ☝🏼 brand and their 20 different styles of their full cover nail tips. All of these brands have been in my Amazon cart for a month bc I just can’t decide on who’s better, if their sizes will work, how strong they are, etc. This video is so informative and left me with a better understanding of which ones to purchase. Thank you so much for this! 😀
Of all the nails you tested, I've tried Apres and Kiara Sky. I found the Apres really difficult to work with unless I was using their gel. KS is so easy for me. Great video!
Greg from Young Nails said he had most popular “gel” full cover tips tested when developing their tips and test came back that they were all made of plastic.
I have used the Makartt and Modelones which are plastic, but once you add the base gel and gel polish and top polish and cure, they are hard and can last about a month. I have smashed my fingers, gotten stuck on things, I cook, clean and they are still on.
thats good news ordered some tips from amazon. not as strong as beetles but i was going to add a layer of hard gel to give them a little more strength.
@@LuxeNailsbyJen thanks. That makes me feel better trying different styles. Im obsessed over the apre dupe method after cutting off my naturally long nails
Technically, regardless of what companies name these type of full cover tips, there are all made of plastic. Both gel and L&P (liquid and powder) are acrylic forms of plastic, as opposed to ABS plastic. Still, I have yet to find a chemical breakdown of "gel" tips to show the composites are indeed those found in soft gel. Plus, what does the manufacturing process look like? Are they using molds and LED lamps?
I have tried and tried to find the exact difference but I just can’t. Anytime I try to look it up google thinks I mean gel and acrylic powder. It’s so annoying. Someone said Young Nails made a video about it. I just haven’t watched it yet.
They are actually made of real soft gel. It is easy to soak off whereas plastic nails cannot be soaked off. There are videos of various companies where they talk about the material used. I remember Enailcoture Max was a guest at Nail career education and he was talking about the difference between soft gel and plastic, and honestly, the difference is huuuge.
I would definitely watch young nails video. They did a really good job explaining it. They are plastic not gel. Technically they are a form or resin which is essentially plastic. Also, I have no idea who started the rumor that you can’t soak off plastic nails because I soak mine off all the time and they look just like Apres and kiara Skye
@@mellinsomnia1 Both types of nails are soakable. I have a couple of ABS plastic full cover tips from different companies and they soak off very quickly. Via Wikipedia: “ABS polymers are resistant to aqueous acids, alkalis, concentrated hydrochloric and phosphoric acids and animal, vegetable and mineral oils, but they are swollen by glacial acetic acid, carbon tetrachloride and aromatic hydrocarbons and are attacked by concentrated sulfuric and nitric acids. They are soluble in esters, ketones (such as acetone), chloroform, and ethylene dichloride. They also offer poor resistance to chlorinated solvents, alcohols and aldehydes.”
So glad you did this!! I know enail has really good ones and from what I’ve seen, his tips are the ones that best suit my interest but I just cannot support him. That is why it was really helpful to see your insight on the runner ups because I now know great alternatives.
I can totally understand that. He doesn’t exactly have the best reputation and can be an ass. I was hesitant to even purchase these just from LHPN’s video about his customer service.
Hi sorry to bother you but i just want to ask (as i am so new to all this!) I keep seeing different nail techs and nail enthusiasts saying they love e-nail couture products but cant buy because they don't or cant or wont support Max? I am just wanting to ask why that is please? Only ive literally seen it in 5 different places in the last few days and i am currently saving up for my next (second) order from them? So i am worried about what this means as i don't want to be supporting someone who is shady or whatever? And i am in the UK so pretty clueless about lots of things USA 😂🤗✨
Well I don’t know everything but I do know the major issue people have. Someone did a review on his nails and showed how the bend and I believe said they broke or something. He was very unprofessional and quite racist about the review. He called the woman guetto, which in American is a very bad word to describe people of color. They have also been known to not have the best customer service. I have heard that people don’t receive their whole order or their order at all and the company refuses to give them their money back. When you check out on Enail’s website there is a huge legal paragraph explaining how they are not liable for anything once it ships. It certainly makes you have a second thought when purchasing from them.
@@LuxeNailsbyJen SORRY LONG REPLY WARNING!! 😂 oh ok thankyou hun! I did see the thing about not refunding if it goes missing etc that was a bit worrying as postage costs a lot it was like £60 just for postage so as it was my first time ordering from anywhere overseas (other than cheap china bits off ebay 😂 ) and products that cost more than normal for me anyway! I didn't want to pay all that money then lose it? But luckily it did come! It unfortunately came wrong but they actually fixed straight away sent the right tips out the same day i contacted them? So I don't personally have any complaints yet BUT i have been on a lot of his lives recently and can see he can be a little bit bitchy to people in comments i think its just his personality? Not saying it's ok to insult people obviously it isn't! And i do remember thinking a couple of times i was scared to ask a question or make a comment incase i cop one of his remarks 😂😜🤦♀️ i find his products very good quality and i really want to make another order but you are right it does make you think twice! I mean if they ship something out they choose the courier etc and if it then doesn't make it to the customer it is their job or it should be to fix it then they take it up with the courier? That's what i would of thought anyway? Asking the customer to take it up with the courier is pointless because they often won't deal with the recipient because they weren't their customer? Anyhoo its all very difficult to know what to do for the best? I just hope he has since learned his lesson because people have made it clear its not acceptable to be racist towards anyone or make nasty comments its not professional that's for sure 👍 I appreciate you taking the time to reply to me lovely! I have enjoyed watching your videos only found you today! I've been waiting what seems like an eternity for a video to upload and had some time to actually watch instead of filming, editing and opening things 😂🤗✨new to this but it all takes so long its like a full-time job at times?! And dealing with illness on top sometimes makes it a bit harder! But also great to have something pretty and sparkly to focus on rather than all the doom and gloom that comes with being sick! I feel you about strength being sucked out of you! I haven't had chemotherapy personally i have to be on a lot of medicine for my lungs and some days even sitting up in bed is so challenging! @@chroniclesofqueennutmeg Yes, Enail's customer service is not just horrid, it's non-existent. I've ordered twice (figured, ok, first time maybe issues) and both they sent the wrong items and it took 3 weeks to ship and 2 months to get to one of the largest cities in Canada!! Insane. NEVER AGAIN. Forget emailing as they don't answer. Anyway, now that Apres is doing half sizes between 4 and 6 they are my go to. I love their nails.
aliexpress has really good full cover nails . downside it could take up to 3 weeks for shipping but they are worth it the price is like $4 for 500 nails and they are good.
I watched Young Nails video regarding the 'gel full cover tips vs. Plastic full cover tips' debate. Very enlightening regarding the whole 'gel tips cost more' deal.
Thank you so much for doing a video like this! There are so many of us are just getting into the full cover nail game and you sure have saved a lot of time and money for a lot of us!
The difference in the makartt nails is that the pump up nails are actually marketed as gel nails while the natural colored nails I supposed to be regular plastic nails that's why the pump up nails don't have that white line. Makartt released the pump up nails to compete with apres gel x
I am all for kiss products. I have had great experience with all of their products. The gel tips being the most challenging and time consuming. But still a great deal for 9 bucks.
I'd like to note tho, Enailcouture tips only contain 275 tips per bag, compared to most brands carrying 500/550. The prices are also drastically different based on size. This isn't a terrible thing cus maybe you do want less if you're just doing nails on yourself. But not actually 11 bucks.
ENC is a Canadian brand and for Canadians its 18.99 a pack, and your right only 275 per pack. So if you compare them, to everyone else who's packs contain 500 - 600 tips, ENC works out to almost $40. per box. The price increase isn't because of our differences in our dollar, as there is only 0.20 difference. He over charges because, he can. No competition, very few Canadian Beauty suppliers to compete with. .. With the fact that he price gouges on purpose for no reason, I'll never buy from him.... Plus your add the nightmare of reviews on the company.... Not worth it...
The Allkem are my absolute favorite! I wish more people would give them a try. Only downfall is the tips will get a white film if they come in contact with alcohol. It doesn’t happen every time. So I’m not sure what I’m doing differently. I wipe the affected ones with acetone (just a quick swipe) it usually takes it away.
They really are great! I find that happens with most of my tips. If I want to stay clear I try my best not to touch that area. I won’t buff it i will just use a layer of young nails primer
This was very informative, thank you!! Did you do a wear test on all these brands? I struggle finding full cover nails that maintain their shape throughout the entire 2/3 weeks wear..
I have separate where I’ve worn these. The modelones were the only ones that broke on my. I typical will use polygel or builder gel on top of them to increase their strength
I would love to see a video like this where you compare sculpted nails. I’m trying to find a dupe for the Apres sculpted tips, but I’m not finding any with an apex like theirs. ETA: Maybe I’ll try the E Nail Couture. I haven’t bought from him before. I tried to, but his website gave me anxiety, and I had to give up. 😂
The term “jelly tips” is just a marketing term but yes the person that told u they are all plastic was correct but they are a different type of plastic some are stronger than others too. Im so happy u did this vid comparing many brands im looking into buying some.
Fantastic video! I truly appreciate a breakdown and showing of the different brands-could’ve maybe included actual application of each but you already have those if we’d want to look into them more! Did you enjoy BTArt box or did you give them to your niece bc you didn’t enjoy them as much? They’ve been one of the brands I’ve been looking into them as I’m trying to find good quality capital S Sort tips lol
The un prepped tip that come on the plastic line I've wondered about that because I feel like just keep a line of tips per service then discard the remaining tips. Could be sanitary but size is an issue.
If you get the soft gel nails and you bend it in the middle you’re gonna get a white line in the middle and then when you bend it back to its normal shape the white line will disappear when you do it on a regular plastic nail you’ll either crack the nail or the white line will not go anywhere and it will stay creased soft gel nails are way better because they fit your finger better like your nail bed and it’s more formfitting and more thinner for the nail bed and more thinner around your cuticle area with soft gel nails you can add builder gel or regular poly gel a thin layer to your actual nail bed and placed soft gel tip to your nail and curate like a glue and it will stay on with other nails like the plastic nails you’re pretty much just going to form it and they’ll pop off, with that being said soft jaw nails or more realistic they don’t have that nasty smell when you file them and they’re made out of gel not plastic so there is a huge difference so quality wise soft gel nails would come number one plastic regular fake nails would obviously come second because there’s a lot of cons with those nails even though they look the same they are totally different which is why a lot of soft gel nails or more expensive allkem Is actually way better priced and they are a dupe to the kiara sky soft gel and gel x nails. Also the polish stays on the gel nails way better than regular plastic as they chip away and eventually get messed up with gel polish on the soft gel nails they care of so much better and your bling sticks to them way better once you add adhesive gel adhesive that is!! So there is your explanation on the difference between plastic and soft gel nails!
As I appreciate your explanation I respectfully disagree. I use the “plastic” nails all the time and I never have some of the issues you mentioned. I apply them using a builder gel and they last for weeks. The gel polish never chips and I am able to use polygel and gel on top. I would highly suggest watching Young Nails video where they talked about soft gel vs plastic full cover tips. It was very enlightening. Soft gel is very much a marketing term and a way to charge a much higher price for nail tips.
@@LuxeNailsbyJen I agree. I currently use ONLY clear ABS plastic nails for press-ons. I prep them and cure them on with a soak off base coat. For myself, I add a thin layer of hard gel to add extra strength. For customers, I do 2-3 layers of base to add strength. I've had customers wear their sets for several weeks with no polish issues, no nail breakage, and no lost bling. I try to stay budget-friendly so buying jelly tips just for the name makes poor business sense
I have to back up her claims on the bad smell and the brittle feel if some tips I've bought off aliexpress vs enail. I could only use the aliexpress tips once because the smell when I was filing them to shape was so bad I got a headache. I haven't tried any other "gel" tips but enail didn't have that smell of brittle feel. They flexed a bit more and felt like better quality despite being a bit thinner. I know it's all "plastic" but I'm sure not all plastics are made equally after experiencing these tips.
What brands have bigger sizes for thumbnails? I usually can’t find full coverage tips to fit my thumb. I have to pull it down a little and fill in the back towards the cuticle with builder gel.
Let me get back to you. I have pretty small nail beds so most are “big” to me. I’ll look through my collection and try to find some that are large. Some companies provide measurements so you can always check that way when buying them.
Can you recommend any full cover tips that don't lose their shape over time? I wear Kiara Sky and the almond shape is stronger than coffin. I type a lot for work and at the end of the work week (that's 5 days of wearing the coffin tips), they lose their shape and round out. I'm looking for stronger tips that don't need to be reshaped. Help!
Cool rating. I hate Makartt because the sculpted nails have such a high apex there’s no way they won’t pop off nails easily. I haven’t tried Apres or Enail Couture yet
I have pretty sculpted natural nails so it doesn’t bother me too much. However, a regular tip should not be that sculpted. EC is great and the price is even better.
Objectively, Beetles should have won this ranking, based on the opinions given. But, halfway through the rankings for plastic bags completing changed. Enail and Makartt both got higher scores for packaging, Enail and Beetles had nearly identical packaging haha. 🤷♀️
Those were Makartt nails. They are kinda of a dupe for the kiara sky ones. I will say the clear Makartt nails are much stronger. I just didn’t have any at the time of filming
I have the opposite issue with Kiara Sky. I want them to add a larger size than their 00. I have to fill the edges with gel to add width for my thumb nails.
Do you have or know anything about bigger tips? For full cover and half tips, I have larger thumbs and sometimes size 0 doesn’t cover my whole nail or for half tips doesn’t reach side to side
This is/was a wonderful idea for a video, and it was at your personal cost, so I really appreciate that. I was wondering if you've ever tried the Wild Flowers brand and the Kupa brand. Also I think for fair comparison you need to stick to one shape, and sizing changes depending on shape. Coffin nails are not as wide as Almond. I would also stay to the same color - all clear, as I'm sure different chemicals to get different colors or finishes. Just for it to be a fair scientific comparison. I saw you mention your going to do another video, like a part 2, so can't wait. This was the 1st video I have ever watched of yours... I thought it was great, and you did a great job.... I really appreciate that you reply to comments!! Its rare and important!! So thank you for that!! I look forward to more of your videos... 😊
Thank you so much! I will be doing the part 2 soon with more tips that I’ve tried. I appreciate your advice! I will slowly be replying to comments this week bc I’m away on vacation but thank so much for watching
Hi thanks for the video, I’m currently using apres is anyone using just their builder gel or any other what about the winner one do I need to use their builder gel Sorry to bother x
Hello, I use Apres extend gel, LuxaPolish flexi gel or Kiara Sky's builder gel with my Apres tips. At this time I like using LuxaPolish flexi the most tho with the tips
Thanks so much for this informative video I’m a beginner but ordered apres, beetle , encouture I’m gonna try alkeem too I have only got beetle so far and they’re ok I figured ecouture would b rlly good!
@@LuxeNailsbyJen yes I paid $30 for apres and alkeem is $27 just about the same it’s weird since I consider them less ‘known’ than apres see them more as affordable Amazon alternative but they’re not really !
I have so far only tried Beetles and while theyre decent quality, there is a huge disparity in shape and size between the styles. I have a box of stilletos and bags of coffin, both in long length, and the number sizes are dramatically different from eachother. I'm like 3 sizes "smaller" in one vs the other. Plus the coffin ones appear to be much more "sculpted" with a higher apex while the stilletos are mostly flat. I am here because I want to try other brands before I accept that I gotta buy apres. I know they're good quality and worth the price but if I can save a buck, I'm gonna lol
Unfortunately that’s the case with a lot of nail companies. Different shapes often require different sizes. At least on me anyways. I have a part two that I did of this if you want to check it out. Also many other tip videos.
While you rated Kiara Sky a 2 on sizing I’d have to rate them a 5. Theirs are barely large enough for my thumbs. This makes me think that any other brand id have issues with if they’re all smaller in size.
They really are subjective. Makartt seems to have larger sizes. I have a hard time finding ones that are small enough in their tips that come in the box.
This is so helpful. I have super tiny nails and struggle to find small enough with store bought cheapies. I dont want to knock your video in any way since you were really amazing, but im pretty sure Aprés is pronounced "ah pree" since it is French. Otherwise, I have no complaints. I really appreciate your knowledge and sharing! ❤️
Thank you and I’m glad you found it helpful. And yes you are correct. Idk why I was pronouncing it that way. I think I heard from someone else but I now know how to say it right 😆. I have an updated version of this with different tips if you wanna give that a watch too
@@LuxeNailsbyJen I am perusing all your videos 😂 You are so helpful! I've done gels and dips for years at home but only recently started looking at doing tips since my nails have weakened horribly post Covid. I really love how thorough you are 🥰
Hi, I’m new here. Thank you for the review, makes my decision a little easier. Can I use any nails, not just the clear one ? I hope my question make sense.
@@LuxeNailsbyJen thank you 😊 my ideas was just to buy predone press on nails and just gel x it. I’m not the greatest when it comes to artwork/ design lol
You gotta make sure the lamp can cure through the tip. So tips manufactured in a dark color will not work. Press ons that are custom made that you bought from a tech, also will not work. To many layers of polish, base coat, top coat, etc. Those will have to be glued on... Hope that helps 😊
I like the Gelish brand nail tips. First time using them it lasted a month and counting, I do re- polish them weekly to freshen them up, still looks good- best glue is definitely the aopres extend gel, my tips never lifted!
So, I'm not sure if it was brought up, and nor trying to start anything, but there was still a bit of a white line on the apres when you bent it back. Fair is fair
You should add the size of at least the largest nail & the smallest nail. I feel like most brands I’ve purchased are either 17mm or 16mm with the largest nail. I’ve also bought the same makartt nails for $7 on aliexpress. I usually purchase during their $3 of $30 sale
@@LuxeNailsbyJen same but with the largest nail. I’ve had some that are 15mm & they’re too small for me. & I think on most nail sizing charts that’s considered small.
any advice on a brand that will have a larger thumb? i got a apres kit and the size 0 is too small for my thumb. they have a 00 but i don’t want to order it and that also be too small. i would prefer a “refill “ individual bag and not a whole new kit
@@itsmypearl I’ve tried enail couture extreme square(long Length) & the largest size is 19mm & comes in 9 size. There’s a dupe on Ali for this one. For almond I like the “mini sculpted almond” it’s actually medium length & not sculpted. The largest size is 18mm, it’s from enail as well & there’s also ambassadors discount codes. For Coffin I like the makartt long Length, the largest size is a 18mm. I get all the makartt full tips off aliexpress. Let me know if u need different sizes or shapes.
Thank you hun. It gets very confusing I’m just going by what young nails stated in one of their videos. They said they took a competitor’s nails to their lab and had them tested to see if they were gel and it turned they were just plastic tips.
Beetles 5 price 3 package 5 strength 5 sizing Total 18 I think beetle was the 🏆 Email contour should have got a 3 for packaging Markart should of got a 4.5
Totally personal preference and I did go back and adjust for packaging. Personally Gellen is my favorite. If I had that kit during this video they totally would have won. Sadly I’m allergic to their builder gel 😞
@@LuxeNailsbyJen Quick question Jen 👋🏾. How exactly do you know that you’re allergic to their gel? I know it seems like a pretty dumb question, but I never went to cosmetology school and am now experimenting with all these new brands. What are some tell-tale signs that I should look for? Thanks! Love your content 💕
@@kristen9389 my cuticles would turn bright red and hurt really bad as soon as I put the tips on and it lasted for a while. At first I thought maybe I was just too rough with my cuticle prep but it kept happening. I mentioned it in one of my videos and a few people said it sounded like an allergic reaction. I stopped using their builder gel and I’ve never experienced that feeling again. I’m not licensed either, just a nail lover. I don’t want to take any chances though bc they said that once you get contact dermatitis then everything will irritate you and basically I wouldn’t be able do my nails anymore 😱.
Hey love new subie and nil friend! I like the more sculpted nails when I so the lazy girl nail method it helps tremendously! But when I apply the full cover nails normally with gel I perfer a way less sculpted nails! Great video ! I also love the full, cover nails from aliexpress amazing 💅💅💕
@@LuxeNailsbyJen no, thank you! You helped me learn and choose what to do with nails so I don’t order bad stuff! I just put on my enailcouture nails! 🥰🥰
I am not clear why the bend test is needed. The nail would only be bent to that extreme while wearing in rare instances. I actually like a nail that doesn't decrease. It shows the nail is thin. And will appear more real. Just my 2 cents. And 29.99 is way over priced. Kiss nails for 100 pieces is A dollar or two total, they stay on long time and look great. I could get a thousand kiss for 29.99. so idk on that price.
gel is plastic yes. but gel tips can be soaked off and abs plastic can’t. abs plastic nails will always leave a white line no matter which way you bend them. so technically, yes, even soft gel tips are plastic but they’re not abs plastic
How do you know if a tip is ABS plastic or just plastic? This topic is so confusing to me and I just want to make sure I’m delivering the right information to my subscribers.
@@LuxeNailsbyJen the majority of nail tips labeled as plastic are actually ABS plastic, which is just a more durable form of plastic that's lightweight but can withstand a bit of impact... Plus is super cheap to manufacture.
ABS nails can definitely be soaked off. The majority of nail tips on the market are ABS plastic which is why soaking off is the safest and healthiest way to remove press-ons and extensions. As a rule of thumb acetone, or acetone based solvents, will dissolve, melt, or smudge almost all plastics. Gel tips are supposedly made with soft gel which doesn't cure to a tighter molecular bond and makes them more porous than hard gels and allows to them to absorb acetone.
@@Pandy879 thank you 🙌 I soak off all my tips with no problem. Also the half tips that are used for most acrylic extensions are plastic and they soak off. I don’t know who started this rumor but it’s ridiculous lol
@@LuxeNailsbyJen nail products are the awkward kid in the school cafeteria... Everyone knows something about them, but half of the "facts" aren't even real lol
I love the kiara sky system but I HATEE their gel tips. its so cheaply made and its so thin. sizing is awful. because of that I'm here trying to find new tips.
I went back and made adjustments for certain things. I’m pretty sure I mentioned that on camera. Honestly, it’s really hard to judge because it’s all based on my preference. I did a second video too if you wanna check it out 😊
To remove the bias in your evaluation of the nails, perhaps you should either leave out the rating of how the nails automatically fit the shape of your personal nail beds, or rate the nails on how easily they can be filed down to fit the shape of a nail bed, if necessary. Just a suggestion. 🙂
According to young nails they are both plastic. Soft gel is just a marketing term. They tested a very popular brand with their lab and turn out it’s plastic. I’ve done the white line test several times and I’ve had “gel nails” fail before so I’ve got to respectfully disagree.
100% agree. They may be more sturdy. I’ve heard they leave it empty so you can order more sizes. Which is pretty cool bc most of only use a couple sizes in each box of nails.
I’ve never had one break on me before. I do usually put a thin layer of builder get on my tips if I’m just using gel polish though. I don’t find any of them strong enough without that.
That may be the case. I do this because these companies show that their tips are strong by demonstrating that no creases are left behind. Typically this is shown in a photo of the product description.
@@LuxeNailsbyJen I know the feeling. When I was buying groceries at a good discount due to covid I started passing around food to the neighborhood for free.

@@LoneRodeoJones 😂😂😂
I have used the Makartt and Modelones which are plastic, but once you add the base gel and gel polish and top polish and cure, they are hard and can last about a month. I have smashed my fingers, gotten stuck on things, I cook, clean and they are still on.
You’ve gotta check out young nails video. They said that all of these nails are basically plastic.
thats good news ordered some tips from amazon. not as strong as beetles but i was going to add a layer of hard gel to give them a little more strength.
@@BimmerBabe honestly all nails can be made good with a little builder gel.
Good question
oh ok thankyou hun! I just hope he has since learned his lesson because people have made it clear its not acceptable to be racist towards anyone or make nasty comments its not professional that's for sure 👍

@@chroniclesofqueennutmeg Yes, Enail's customer service is not just horrid, it's non-existent.
They are usually pretty good shipping for me. You can’t beat that price though. I’ll wait a whole year for them lol

The difference in the makartt nails is that the pump up nails are actually marketed as gel nails while the natural colored nails I supposed to be regular plastic nails that's why the pump up nails don't have that white line. Makartt released the pump up nails to compete with apres gel x
Gotcha thank you so much for clarifying! Regardless the regular nails are still pretty good.
I agree! I have tried a lot of nails and I come back to Enail couture nails most times.
For the price you can’t beat them. I’m gonna try more styles soon
I am all for kiss products. I have had great experience with all of their products. The gel tips being the most challenging and time consuming. But still a great deal for 9 bucks.
Good to know. I’ve used kiss in the past and was not fan. It’s all personal preference you know.
Nice video, but I believe the white line staying or disappearing is dependent on if it’s an abs plastic nail or a gel nail tip.
That is true but modelones especially used that in their advertising on Amazon.
I'd like to note tho, Enailcouture tips only contain 275 tips per bag, compared to most brands carrying 500/550. The prices are also drastically different based on size. This isn't a terrible thing cus maybe you do want less if you're just doing nails on yourself. But not actually 11 bucks.
Thank you love I am going to do an updated version soon. These are the sort of things I will be taking into consideration
I’m reading the comments and i see that you prefer gellen over apres. May I ask why please. Im trying to find out where I should purchase my gel tips
I think the price of Apres nails are bit high for what you get.
Doing the lords work

I would love to see a video like this where you compare sculpted nails. I’m trying to find a dupe for the Apres sculpted tips, but I’m not finding any with an apex like theirs.

@@LuxeNailsbyJen thank you so much 💗💗💗
Do you know of a brand that is made for flat flat nails? Thank you so much for all the information.😊
I just tried out nails from BTArt box that were great for flat nails
Fantastic video! I truly appreciate a breakdown and showing of the different brands-could’ve maybe included actual application of each but you already have those if we’d want to look into them more! Did you enjoy BTArt box or did you give them to your niece bc you didn’t enjoy them as much? They’ve been one of the brands I’ve been looking into them as I’m trying to find good quality capital S Sort tips lol
They’ve recently come out with new tips and I really like them
The un prepped tip that come on the plastic line I've wondered about that because I feel like just keep a line of tips per service then discard the remaining tips. Could be sanitary but size is an issue.
It would be sanitary. That’s not a bad idea.
@@Pandy879 I’m not sure how this rumor started but nail techs have been soaking off plastic tips for years.
@@LuxeNailsbyJen I've always done this. That's why I was so confused about the significance of "soak off" tips
@@LuxeNailsbyJen Hey thanks! 😊
Help!
That’s a tough one. Someone just commented the other day that Apres is the only tips that don’t lose shape. I’m gonna have to get back to you on this
Thank you for this video I've been contemplating some of these tips and now I can actually make my purchase :)
I’m so happy it helped!
If you fill the space with gel it shouldn't lift quicker.
Thank you so much for doing this I was going weeks wo being able to decide 😅🙏🏼 🥰
Well I’m happy I could help!
Objectively, Beetles should have won this ranking, based on the opinions given. But, halfway through the rankings for plastic bags completing changed. Enail and Makartt both got higher scores for packaging, Enail and Beetles had nearly identical packaging haha. 🤷♀️
I did go back and adjust everyone’s score for the packaging. I tried my best to be as fair as possible. Thanks for watching 🥰
What were the box of colored almond shaped nails you pulled out to compare?????
Those were Makartt nails. They are kinda of a dupe for the kiara sky ones. I will say the clear Makartt nails are much stronger. I just didn’t have any at the time of filming
I have the opposite issue with Kiara Sky. I want them to add a larger size than their 00. I have to fill the edges with gel to add width for my thumb nails.
I guess their sizes are just not very accommodating
but do i use sculpted or normal for press ons
If your nails are rounder than sculpted and if they are flat normal.
Honestly the Kiara sky almond ones suck when it comes to sizing. I would only use the coffin and the square.
They really do. You would think a brand like that would do better.
Do you have or know anything about bigger tips? For full cover and half tips, I have larger thumbs and sometimes size 0 doesn’t cover my whole nail or for half tips doesn’t reach side to side
Sorry not really but I do know that Apres and Kiara sky sell the separate sizes. I hope someone here can help.
Can u do one of just gel tips. Like alot of those were abs plastic. Can u do one on actual soft gel only?
Oh sorry.. I think I just heard u explain why you are doing that. Have a great day!
Thank you! You have a good day too
Can you Daily Charme's extention kit to the list of comparisions?
Yes ma’am I can! I’ll add it to my list of videos

@@LuxeNailsbyJen yes I paid $30 for apres and alkeem is $27 just about the same it’s weird since I consider them less ‘known’ than apres see them more as affordable Amazon alternative but they’re not really !
@@Mhmmmmmmx0 exactly I don’t remember what I paid for them but it wasn’t that much. Maybe they aren’t doing well and had to raise their price.
You gotta make sure the lamp can cure through the tip. So tips manufactured in a dark color will not work. Press ons that are custom made that you bought from a tech, also will not work. To many layers of polish, base coat, top coat, etc.
Those will have to be glued on...

Thanks. It’s interesting to hear others preferences. We are all different and we all like different things 👍
omg this video is genius
Wow thank you!!!
gel is plastic yes. but gel tips can be soaked off and abs plastic can’t. abs plastic nails will always leave a white line no matter which way you bend them. so technically, yes, even soft gel tips are plastic but they’re not abs plastic
Hiiiiiii! new sub here! Thanks for the vid🥰 I am a tip connoisseur 🤣🤣🤣
Welcome to the fam!
I 😘 Ve Kiara sky. They are strong and easy to work with
They are great nails I just wish the pinkies fit
I love the kiara sky system but I HATEE their gel tips. its so cheaply made and its so thin. sizing is awful. because of that I'm here trying to find new tips.
I tried so many things to get that gel to work and my nails would pop off the same day
Apres had 19 points... so they beat ENC's 18.5 points... Am I the only one who noticed? I had to rewind to make sure I didn't make a mistake!
I went back and made adjustments for certain things. I’m pretty sure I mentioned that on camera. Honestly, it’s really hard to judge because it’s all based on my preference. I did a second video too if you wanna check it out 😊
@@LuxeNailsbyJen definitely will check it out! Thanks for clearing it up for me 😊
YES!!!
I noticed that as well. The Apres nails are clearly the better nails.
To remove the bias in your evaluation of the nails, perhaps you should either leave out the rating of how the nails automatically fit the shape of your personal nail beds, or rate the nails on how easily they can be filed down to fit the shape of a nail bed, if necessary. Just a suggestion. 🙂
That white line tells you if it is plastic or gel. If the white line disappears it's gel, if it doesn't its plastic. They are not the same.
According to young nails they are both plastic. Soft gel is just a marketing term. They tested a very popular brand with their lab and turn out it’s plastic. I’ve done the white line test several times and I’ve had “gel nails” fail before so I’ve got to respectfully disagree.
It's funny bcs gel is a kind of plastic and if they are more sturdy than others, it's still plastic but just more flexible;)
PS In my Apres Gel X box I got the 00 filled, but at least in my box, there are just the 0's in there, absolutely no difference...
100% agree. They may be more sturdy. I’ve heard they leave it empty so you can order more sizes. Which is pretty cool bc most of only use a couple sizes in each box of nails.
Beetle are nice but they do break I wouldn’t recommend them
I’ve never had one break on me before. I do usually put a thin layer of builder get on my tips if I’m just using gel polish though. I don’t find any of them strong enough without that.
white line has nothing to do with strength, its based on the materials used to create the tip itself.
That may be the case. I do this because these companies show that their tips are strong by demonstrating that no creases are left behind. Typically this is shown in a photo of the product description.
KIARA SKY SUCKS don’t waste your money get beetle .. but I just do the polygel lazy girl nails now .. whole kit $27 lol
Lol I just think there are so many options out there now there is no need to spend that much money on a kit when you can buy some for like $20.
Plastic creases when bent gel doesn't crease
So a lot of these companies show in their advertising that their nails do not get white lines . That’s why I do it
I hate the makart almond big bag of tips because they have a terrible claw shape 🤮🤮
Eww. I only have the coffin shape in the big bag. They are pretty good
I won't support Apres anymore backing sofgel they are releasing new stuff this year!
Do tell, why not? I’m very curious bc I never thought they were worth the money.
What you don't want I would be happy to Receive. 😜
Lol cool
@@LuxeNailsbyJen Just joking I'm just poor.
@@reneemondragon7203 lol no worries!
@@reneemondragon7203 I just hate for this stuff to go to waste. I’d rather give it away than throw it away
@@LuxeNailsbyJen I know the feeling. When I was buying groceries at a good discount due to covid I started passing around food to the neighborhood for free.
Gel = plastic 😂😂 they all plastic
I know… I get so tired of explaining it
Would love to see this comparing the glue!
What a good idea!👍
Thank you so much. I just bought a big kit based on highly rated good reviews, and they were all lies 🥲 I was VERY salty.
@@Lori-Rez-2024 well I hope this helps!!!
