NFS Summer Camp - Madhipura Christian Hospital

We have 10 non-formal schools with some 450-odd children. We are trying to be innovative in our teaching methods to maximise the learning of children with the minimal human and material resources that we have. One of the best ideas so far has been the Summer and Winter camps, when over a month, children get intensive coaching with the help of volunteers to help them start catching up with their peers from cities. We focus on children from the most oppressed MahaDalit communities, who are unlikely to ever get even a semblance of education.
