It takes a lot of guts and spirit to come out about mental illness.... Especially in the NBA.... Kudos to Kevin and many others who continue to battle with this everyday, and still strive to be the best that they can... ✊🏾💯
I got a lot of Respect for Love and Derozen to come out and speak about Mental Health it's a daily struggle for everyone. Whether it be Black,White, Rich, Poor
Thanks Kevin. You inspired me to finally go and get help for my anxiety. I’ve hid it since I was 13. I’m 26 now and finally saw a doctor and therapist.
Very impressed with Kevin Love and how he articulates his journey with depression. I've had similar experience with a panic attacks in college where I thought I was having a heart attack.
It takes a lot of courage to be able to publicly open up about mental illnesses--and more so step out of it. I'm proud of Kevin Love for choosing to be completely honest about himself. It makes us realize that NBA players--even if they're professionals--are still humans, and humans are severely broken and imperfect beings. Kudos to this man!
Kevin it’s tough to admit but your a man of humble words and integrity. God bless you and you’ve always been a respectable man to look up to! God bless!
This video means so much to me. I just had a panic attack exactly how he described it. I can’t describe how thankful I am for this video... thank you Kevin love.
the courage it takes to reveal your inner struggles the way Kevin did, especially on the stage he’s on in the NBA and a teammate of LeBron, is unbelievable. props to you Kevin, you’ve affected so many lives for the better, including my own.
This helps a lot being a basketball player and fan to hear a basketball legend talk about my struggles being someone who has attempted before to hear this helps more than he could know its an everyday struggle and I honestly don't think speaking up about this is soft he is actually extremely tough for talking about this I know as a 19 yr old don't really talk about my struggles because I never felt comfortable talking about it with some people this hit my heart
Tbh we put these athletes on a pedestal because of how HUGE sport is and the big $$ they earn. But they are still humans. Respect to KLove and other athletes for opening up about mental health. Hopefully someone with this issue can find the inspiration to get some help.
I used basketball fir my depression my ENTIRE youth. Then as a father and a adult i still lol struggle staying up for weeks thinking about things that arnt real amd possibilities and searching for something i dont know what im searching for. Amd was a clown n comedian growimg up n made fun of mental illness but today I am sober of 5 years and stillllll ahut off frm society it moves way to fast and way too much. Judgmental.
Exercise has been one of the only positive outlets in my life for a long time, i can't stress enough how important it is to get out and find a physical activity that you ENJOY and can provide you with a good workout, especially for those of us that deal with depression. It really helps and those endorphins can give you a real boost, and sports are a great way to meet people and socialize.
Man once you get depression it’s really difficult to get over it I’m only 21 and it’s been around me since I was in high school some days it’s better than others the only thing we could do is push forward every day

Depression’s one of the few things that doesn’t discriminate! It doesn’t care about your income, race, religion, or social status.
Totally. I'm almost 40 and still lives within me and it lives hard. I've fought and fought and fought and fought. I'm so tired.
Harry LaFountaine I may only be 21 but I understand how tiring the fight is but keep on fighting you got this brother. We’re in this together

Panic attacks are absolutely horrifying. I've had several.
I’m at this point in my life where my frequent panic attacks are happening again. May you be able to manage your mental health issues, bro.
I'm appreciating the comments here. I'm having the same issues. I'm struggling with work. I'm getting help but I'm still struggling. Take care.

Anxiety and panic attacks don't discriminate. I did 32+ years of Army service and finally had to retire because I couldn't handle it anymore.
It’s this big!
5 miserable individuals out there and I'm sure there will be more haters. Mad respect to Kevin Love for opening up about his struggle.
