I’ve been feeding Anna’s here going on four years. They stay all year in northern Sacramento valley. A couple of years ago I witnessed mating behavior and captured it on video. The male was bobbing and weaving a few feet from the female both perched on a fence. Can’t wait for more babies to come to the feeders with Mom.
Cute! I rescued one (I called her my daughter) before and had a great time bonding with her. She was doing well. Unfortunately, I took her to Wildlife Rescue and they killed her. Now I have grandchildren (hummingbirds) outside my window. When I see hummingbird videos like this, I always remember my sweet daughter.
I live in a big city, but they have been coming to my balcony to visit the 3 feeders there ever since they apparently found the gladiolus we planted. Ours are all orange colored in light, and we have a male bully who guards the feeders in late afternoon or evenings, or all day during rain or heavy overcast. I was surprised that they come as high as we are (we're on the 10th floor).
They are beautiful birds with amazing colors and characteristics, a delight to see. How great that you can see them in your own backyard. I am glad that you are enjoying this video. Blessings!
Thanks for watching!

Amazing!!! I hope you see the babies coming to your feeders. Thank you for watching this channel.
Nice that you were able to video the mating behavior! Have you seen more babies coming to your feeder?

It is probably the Rufous hummingbird, which fights other hummingbirds to protect its territory.
Thankyou for this beautiful video. I'm blessed with many coming to my feeder and they continue to amaze me.
