Hi, any chance that you’d be able to send the MIDI files over please as we’d like to experiment with mixing this?

First of all I must thank you for the great video about West End Girls
I noticed that you have a lot of synths there , so I need to know if you can help me about MIDI issues
I have the KORG KRONOS 2 , and I work with Logic Pro 11 ,I can use the Sequencer of logic , using the sounds of the Kronos , my question is : Can I make a full song in my Kronos , and then put all the midis in logic the 16 Channels and to have all the Kronos sounds in every single track in the sequencer of Logic? Now I do a Song and then track by track I'm using the audio record in logic , I want to put all the 16 tracks , the MIDI tracks in logic and then star to create every single track in audio , may I explane it good?
Thanks a lot again I hope you can help me

A lot of elements reminds me of Frankie Goes to Hollywood “Relax”

Really fantastic on the spot recreation of what is actually a tricky track that seems simple, but is pretty complex.

Excellent, but you are missing the shaker from the percussion track. It's quiet, but it's there...

Back in the 80s I did the same with "These Days" the b-side of Joy Divisions "Love will tear us apart" and New Orders "Blue Monday. I had a Korg PolySix, Ensoniq Mirage, EDP Wasp, Roland MC-202, TR-606 and TR-626. It was all recorded on an Akai open reel and bounced in Mono. Wish I still had copies of those tracks. I lost the majority of my early music in a house fire. In the last 10 years though I've been buying synths though as I want to recreate my stuff from then.

Brother!! This is a great video and great work. Try to reedit and add the final song to the same video without the vocals and this will go viral.

In the real life Stephen Hague played it alone on Emulators, with some Jupiter for bass. Drum machine was Oberheim.

Deconstructing and re-creating songs is the best way to learn how to make songs.

Amazing! Wondering if you could please give me a light about the Fm algorithm used for the bass on that patch. Have been trying for hours on my FM to crecreate it but it’s taking too much time and still nothing that sounds close enough. Thank you so much in advance

In my life I was lucky to work together with italians. Here I see the same common approach: "Well, I say it is OK. Let's go." Just "I say it is OK." No doubts, no extra parfectionism - just accept life as it is. And - it works!! Many thanks 🙏

    Hi, Andy
Many thanks for your Pet Shop Boys video. I wonder why you used a DAW to record it rather than the Kronos's internal sequencer. I've used Korg sequencers to make backing tracks since the 80's and would practically swear by them. The basic techniques remain the same from the M1 to the OW1 (PRO) to the Oasys. The Kronos OS looks identical to the Oasys and once you know the CC codes you can do all kinds of things in the way of fancy editing. Perhaps you know that yourself, though.
What I enjoyed most, after your wild enthusiasm, was seeing someone else doing what I also love to do. So, please do make more videos like this one!

Hey, thank you so much for your comment, really appreciated... yes, i do use the Kronos sequencer, but not very often... i prefer working with DAWs... I will definitely create more videos like this, as I do enjoy making them, and doing deep dives on tunes...

Hey Andy, new subscriber here. This was a great video for learning the parts and also placement. I will delve into your profile and see what else is exciting in there. TYSM. I am a keyboardist/lead vocalist in a San Diego cover band, and I use a Fantom 07. Looking forward to your future projects.

Fun fact - the re-recorded version of west end girls (the one you are using as your guide) was recorded virtually live with virtually now sequencing used.

Simply fantastic!! I am working on this track at the moment, I have the Arturia V collection, so Finding the EMulator Sounds has been really satisfying
Taking me longer lol But It's sounding enjoyable.
The Bass sounds excellent, as it was I belive three parts Stacked, but then they had 48 channels of Tape to play with :)
