this has been a heaven sent. it'd be great to have some sped up videos so you can see the whole process in a few minutes, because sometimes you are stuck on just one thing and you dont even know what to google for.
Thanks - not only a great video on flow but I also love the idea of gathering tips from the business rather than all training coming from a small team. Look forward to your future vids!
That was awesome, thanks for sharing, only new to flow and have a few simple flows running but I was only just working on something similar and you've really helped me.
HI! Thank you SO much for this video! I'm just stuck on the part about exporting the steps into an Excel file. Our team will need to see what has been approved or rejected and the comments but I can't figure out how to export that easily. Any advise is so very much appreciated!
Just new to Flow and I got hooked with your tutorial videos until 3AM!😅 Really helpful! I was just wondering if you had a video tutorial for using Flow when there's a combination of a Form with file attachments (like PDF/image) being routed for approval across coz Im finding ways to automate our team's process. Thanks! 😊
Hey Nix, I just noticed your comment. Have you seen this video Jon did with Yash? ua-cam.com/video/Xxad-kSLQ9Y/v-deo.html I think that may have what you need. -Ed
Great video, just what I am looking for. When I tried to replicate it, when I got to 'Get Responses', it does not switch to 'Apply to All'. I have got it working by leaving 'Get Responses' and then a condition if the form has been submitted 'anonymous'. Not a big deal but adds unnecessary steps when compared to Ed's example. Thoughts? Also my form will include Choices Questions, but these land in the email/Teams post with additional characters, ie "[General]". Can you point me to where I can extract the choice and leave out the additional characters?
How do I provide a hyperlink to the submitted form for the reviewer to look at during the approve/reject phase of the flow? That way the reviewer can see the whole submitted form. Thank you for your guidance.
Great introduction. QQ: is the data captured in UI Flow exportable? For instance, can timestamps from a recording be extracted? Thanks for any feedback.
When i click list of response notification response ID, it does not create the "apply to each " node. If i manually add the apply to each under it, there is no dynamic info available. any suggestions?
I think they've changed it since we recorded this video and it looks like you no longer need the loop. You should still follow with "Get Response Details" and then your dynamic form responses should be available.
Hi Jon, I'm creating Forms and Flows for my Customer Service Team! I'm currently looking to create an automation process for our team to use for sending a request to mail documents to the clients that we service. I wanted to know how do I use a group form that sends responses to one email address from the reps., but also creating an excel data sheet showing what was requested, the date, and the attached document. We currently use Salesforce Service Cloud which holds our pdf documents for the clients. Let me know what's the easiest way to do this.
Is there a way I can get some support for this? Built a flow, and had to make a few changes at the end to suit the needs. Flow checker says it's good, but when went to test, it fails after gathering info for the form. Seriously need help lol
Hello, there is a way to create forms (with Microsoft Form) and get automatic certificates for each person who approves it. Very similar to how it is done with Microsoft courses.
Hi Jon, I have tried this yesterday and when I use Outcome it fails, "no subsequent action after the condition" and when I use Responses (I was able to use Response before) it is always False. Can you help please?
Hi,very cool but in the approval email I didn’t see the information of the forms . In the email I only saw approved or not. How can I see the responses in the approval email?
Can you again explain why you do not use the initial situation in the 'Reject' option ? If you have multiple users in the Approval send to and the first one rejects it will only send to that single person isn't it?
In a SharePoint list, I created 5 columns. I created a Flow to use #1 Form to create the list/record with 3 columns filled in and hoping to use #2 Form to update the rest of the 2 columns . I was able to use #1 Form to create a SharePoint list/record, but can't update it with #2 Form. Can you please help me?
HI guys, I love your videos, I love what you are doing with flow. However, I really want to point out that it is a misnomer to continually say this is "no-code". When you are doing things like initializing variables and then looping to concatenate variables in order for you to get value you need, this essentially IS code, but just wrapped up in a pretty graphical block view. My hope for flow was to teach my non-technical administrative staff how to set up flows for basic things; however, in example after example very soon into doing something pretty basic we hit a point where we need to do something like the variable assignment example above. So suddenly we are beyond what we could teach any sort of non-tech admin staff, it is just coding but with a different presentation.
I definitely try to say "low-code" rather than no code... cause there are places where you will definitely need some workflow thinking and a bit of syntax.
@@JonJLevesque I think that would be less misleading and a good idea. Thank you for all your content, I'm learning so much and can't wait to apply it all to my workplace
Don't know what is up with the sound on your videos, but even with headphones, the levels are always all over the place. I am sure that your tutorials are great, but they only work for me when I can hear them.
Hi I am new to Power Automate. My requirement is automation of Waiver memo request approval process. Our company have delegated certain financial powers to senior employees to waive off financical charges on the loan accounts. Based on the waiver amounts matrix, the request is sent to waive off certain charges in the loan and approved by one or more approvers (Multipler approvers). Approval request follows proper hierarchy system. a) Junior level raises the request to his manager/s based on the waiver amount using Microsoft forms. Once forms in filled up and submitted, it will flow to First Manger. b) First manager will view the request and approve the same by entering the comments. Further it flow to second manager and so on for approval. c) Once Final approver approved the memo request, an email will be sent to the requestor and employee kept in forinfo (Separate provision to keep employees in forinfo list - Employees not participating in approval like operation team who will process the waiver amount in companies system are kept in forinfo. Currently the waiver request is a manual process and email is sent through outlook. MIS updation of waiver request is manual and time consuming. Can this be done through Power Automate and Flow. Please suggest.

Haha he sure does

Great story about trying, iteration and making things better as you go along. Thanks for this!
These are really good. Great video for introducing the concept of variables and the ID issue with group forms. Nice one.
This was very helpful! Seems like the loops aren't required for multiple form responses now? I was able to make it work without it anyway.
10:54 was a life saver for me. Thanks for fixing my headache
No problem buddy!
Nice demo, quick and straight to the point.

Add a step that adds a row into an excel file. Make sure the excel has a table in it. Voila!

Question: why do we need to add time of 7 days (from the yes condition)?
if you want a delayed action - thats how to add time to make a future event.
Great video! Just want to know if there is a way to attach a file to the Form.

Every time someone submit's the form, it comes over as I submitted the form. How would I go by changing this?
How do you embed the approval response box in approval email?
OWA Shows the approval in the email body
Can I create a template for forms so that whenever I create a form those fields get autopopulated for example user department and division
Can I use Flow to automate the task to send an email to someone, when the "yes" option was choosed in a question of MS Forms?
You absolutely can! Just check for the yes in a condition, if yes, send email
