If anyone watching is curious about music made in the USSR and other socialist nations, I highly recomend you check out the youtube channel "Funked Up East". It has a wonderful collection of records. The music is varied, with jazz, jazz-funk, disco, progressive rock, jazz fusion, 80s electronic and bossa nova featurimg heavily. I personally found it fascisnating.
Thank you for the great video

Being from Chicago, the worlds fair is synonymous with being murdered by a serial killer. I always forget there were other fairs where that didn’t happen.

maybe it can be repaired with little hot air and pressing it. ask a record expert how to repair it please

Why can't you monetise this? How is a Soviet record from 80 years ago not public domain?

    • @LadyIzdihar

Great question!!! No idea. But it strikes me for a copyright claim nonetheless 🤷‍♀️

@@LadyIzdihar It's probably the copyright bots that claim anything, and maybe someone bought the rights randomly after the dissolution of the ussr or when the artists needed money, who knows

What about Soviet pop music 50-60-70-80 - as a humanitarian aspect of life in the USSR? Is this period not interesting? In the USSR, there was jazz, funk, folk in various treatments, including progressive, as well as the influence of the British invasion. There are many interesting collectives Pesnyary Singing guitars Firyusa Ariel and many others there are many singers and singers, for example Muslim Magomayev Maya Kristallinskaya Valentina Tolkunova and others Composers Tariverdiev Babayan Zatsepin Rybnikov Artemyev and others.

It would have been great if it was an audio guide about the pavilion and people wandered around the place with trolleys carrying gramaphones: 'If you look up and to your left, you will notice a 79ft tall stainless steel man...'

The Queens Museum in the park that held the '39 and '64 World's Fairs has a permanent exhibit on the World's Fair. I want to look more closely for USSR materials. Worth checking out if you happen to be in this part of the world. The park and museum.
