damn, these are super easier to work with, easier to disassemble too since I gotta reverse them. lmao the other ones i took off are stiff and sometimes i was afraid to break them. l connect 3 also makes life easier, pretty nice i dont have to connect another argb header to get them to work too. definitely worth

Hey V! How are the aio lights diffused so well? Did you mod it? I love it and need to know!!!
When I was going to paint it I realized I could remove the mesh from inside and then I just put some black paint in the center. I think I’ll make a short video explaining it
You should pop off those grey slider on your ram , make them look way better. Did it to mine and look so good. We never changer the slider on it anyways.. 👌
I tried it but I kinda like them 😅 I also painted mine white but it’s hardly noticeable

I recently bought the v2 - question I have the 2x8 cable the controller the button where it is left or right side greetings and thanks
The 2nd gen Plus is actually Braided. But were too stiff.
The 3rd gen Plus V2 they just left the wires bare.
Wow super nice but is there a big difference between the v1 and v2, e.g lighting, looks cause in Australia it’s out 24th of June and got a new pc should I wait or not?
There’s a huge difference in build quality. I would personally wait. Lighting is also a bit brighter but the biggest difference is the quality and materials used in the new V2.
Can I connect the USB 2.0 header to a internal fan HUB? I want to use them with the L-Connect 3 software but I don't have more free USB 2.0 headers in my motherboard. Thank you
May I know what vertical mount is that you're using?
I have 3080ti founder edition will this work with that card?
I just built my first ever pc and everything works except the L-connect 3 software doesn't seem to work. Not sure what the problem is.
Moving from an ARgb cable to usb is a major plus!

@@real13D Because not every motherboard has an ARGB connector, but almost every modern motherboard has USB.
The lian li controller and supplied with?
It's so hard to capture these cable with normal cameras. This is one of the better captures, but doesn't even come close to doing it justice. I've got 3 AL fans and the main power cables.
how did you get your Galahad AIO pump to look like that? they usually have like a black mesh sticker around the sides right? did you remove them somehow?
Yeah, I was able to remove the mesh from the other plastic inside and then I used a syringe to pour some paint on the bottom of it (because it was all opaque) so I could still have the OEM look but also custom. Took 24 hours to fully dry but it looks sooo much better IMO.

So, what’s you’re saying is, I need to replace all my Thermaltake fans and lights and get these? My Missus will not be happy with me spending more money on my PC. LOL - they look sturdy and reliable. From a brightness perspective, what is your take on them?
Yeah exactly 😅 They’re solid overall and the brightness is definitely brighter than previous model. Forgot to adjust my camera and they look blown out a bit. They’re definitely worth it in my opinion.
I love my strimer from Lian Li. I have on in my 011 Dynamic and It adds such an amazing effect to the visuals when computer is turned on. It would be nice if it's controllable through MB
I completely agree, they’re so nice and adds beautiful lighting to the case. You can control them through your motherboard, just have to use the included 3-pin ARGB connectors.
He been invited late to the beta test I been got the same stuff when beta test was available but still needs more to the program and then its doesn't beat cosair icue
ive set mine up to be controled by iCUE
uh. it is. toggle. Up top. click. MB ... ... ... not that hard. Does require reading directions though....

I assume these will be controllable with ICUE when using the 3 pin ARGB pin / Corsair RGB adapter?
I believe they will just as the older model. Not 100% sure tho
Can i use the 8*3 pins even if my gpu have 8*2 pins?
I have an auros z690 elite motherboard.. had rgb fusion as the led program. I don't see options in there for these rgb cable's.
These are controlled through L Connect 3 from lian li. If you plugged them into your rgb header then you’ll still need their software to switch the using RGB fusion.
Do they have black cable base option? I have my doubts if it would look nice with full black case.
As of now they do not. It looks decent, I had my old ones in my black build and they still looked good. But you could definitely see the white.
im wondering if you get the controller box with the GPU triple 8 pin with the V2 as stupid me just bought V1 of the 24 pin one.
As i think id like to have new controller box and have v1 strimmer plus as the 24 pin and have v2 strimmer plus as the GPU cable - can this be done , a mix of both?
Yeah you can mix both, as long as you have the v2 controller.

At least you can buy the v2 controller separately and the v1 cables will still work with L Connect 3. Worth it IMO if you don’t want to swap out the cables.

If youd like to control your v1 with L Connect 3 you will need the new controller.
I’m about to build my first gaming pc, and I ordered my Lian Li strimer plus v2 and a couple 3-packs of the their SL120 fans. What is the best way to connect them so that I can control them using L Connect? Thanks in advance!
Connect their controllers directly to the USB ports on your motherboard. That way l connect will detect them.

@@BuildsWithV can you elaborate? My Ryzen 7 5900x hovers around 58° constantly on the Galahad and around 59° on the Kraken Z63. I hate when I see others flaunt low temps. What're yours?

My temps on my Ryzen 9 stay in the high 30s-high 40s with basic use. Once I start gaming or video editing I stay in the mid 50s-mid 60s. Haven’t tested my new setup on full cpu load so I’m not sure there. I also now have a msi AIO but the temps seem to be about the same, maybe slightly better with their pwm pump.
Case specs
When set to white, do the V2’s have a slight blueish hue, or is it pure white (255, 255, 255) with no other colors present?
I’m looking for RGB cables that have actual white and not a blueish / reddish / greenish hue when set to white.
Kinda sorta blueish/purpleish. Especially on camera, the thumbnail I used I was set to white and on camera it came out purple.
@@BuildsWithV That’s a shame really… I personally wouldn’t mind having another set of LED cables with only white LEDs as they would look so nice with a black and white build.
@@ruohnii I completely agree with you! So hard to find products that have a pure white look. In person they look definitely better and closer to white but still bluish

My Windows Security keeps blocking the download of L Connect for me, is there any way around this?
For me and many others too , you just have to go along with it. There is no malware , the “trojan” that windows defender detects is actually just some shitty security leaks in the Programm on their side.The software is accessing many admin things to control stuff like the pump etc , the software is bypassing security features to do that , hence it being detected as malware. I’m not an it guy but there’s more to this on Reddit , hope I could help you.
I have the one for the gpu but it doesn't come with the controller and you can't buy the controller separately it only comes with the 24 pin cable
The new V2 controller can be bought separately as soon as it’s available. It’s currently not available anywhere as far as I can tell but it’s coming very soon online and in stores.

Stupid question but can the lights be removed and put on existing white corsair wires?
They can but I’m not sure how well they’d fit. Depends on the thickness of the cables you put them on.

i have everything plugged in correctly for the 8+3 pin and 24 pin strimer plus v2s but when i turn on my PC, the lights do not turn on. Everything else is working except these two cables. What should I do to repair this?

Yes you can with the little dongle that the FE comes with
I'm new to building computers, so forgive me if this is a stupid question. Are you just plugging these into your existing cables? Asking because I thought that mixing cables could damage your video card.
Yeah these are just extension cables. These are specifically made for this so I don’t believe they’d mass anything up. Hasn’t happened yet so I have no clue. I’m sure if you use some random gauge cable for you’d gpu it can mess it up but I assume if it’s same or very similar in size it’ll be okay.

Not natively, you probably can use a 3-pin ARGB to Corsair rgb cable like people have done in the past. Not sure if it’ll work great or not. Haven’t tried that myself
yes you can i have done this with mine through icue, you dont get all the patterns though - only the icue ones

No you can’t, they have their own controller and as of now there’s no way to do that officially. I’m sure there’s a way around it but idk

@@duyhungphannguyen3049 the cable I have from lian li is PCIe 3.0 but I might upgrade to 4.0 soon. The PCIe cable from ezdiy unfortunately failed on me, I don’t recommend it. But the mount looks gorgeous in this case.
So with the V2 and the older ones, is their a difference in lighting methods and stuff?
Cause i know the older ones had the controller to do different colors and lighting
If you use the older ones with the old controller the V2 have better lighting effects and customization. If you get just the new controller you can plug the old Strimer cables into it and have the same effects as the new ones.

Not yet but they’re definitely on the right track. They seem to be making the right changes with every update. Icue is definitely unmatched at the moment.
So I'm ordering a rtx 4080, how would I what size pins I need? Please help, I'm struggling to get my head around all this
The 4080 uses a single. Lian li doesn’t make those yet

@@Inked_CR you can do it but they don’t have any official cables for it. The cables come apart and then you can put it on the 4000 cables
