Since making that comment, I've seen other snapshots of the damaged plane, and they have confirmed that the image is indeed that of a damaged wing. Of course, I entertained the possibility that the NBC clip showed a close-up of the leading edge of a wing, but what threw me off was the "fixture" that appeared to be underneath a "tube-like" structure [now obviously a wing], as well as a "black" colored feature, resembling a hole, albeit a smaller one, right above the drone-created crack (hole). Other photos of the damaged aircraft taken from different angles do not show any "black feature" above the wing's cracked area, nor do they depict any fixture-like object beneath the wing. It underscores the importance of relying on *multiple* sources. 🙂
