Love the touch from Amarillo. I live about 20 min from the mesa, I can drive to the other side of my neighborhood and see it. Sweet bike man definitely unique.
Pretty sure I followed this build in a few social groups. Awesome to see it here too! I'm about to tackle some paint on my tribute vt600. Ride safe brother
What prep was done to the head light before paint. Nice job, I’m in my 70’s so building a trike VT750 ACE. I used a tank from a 80 Yamaha 1100 same length as stock but narrow. Metal flake lime with black clear. Rear drive consists of inner sealed with grease fittings added to 9inch Ford diff with shortened Camaro axles. Rear disk brakes from 600 Honda ATV.
So for the headlight, and any chrome or plasti-chrome parts, it's all in the prep! I go very aggressive with 200-300 grit and rough the chrome as much as possible, then follow with all over 600-800 grit. You'll want to follow with an etching 2k primer that'll really bite into the substrate, then of course block it out and prime again. Then your color and finish.
Hopefully you see this and respond. How did you mount your rear fender? Did you drill into the swing arm to bolt it on or did you weld on some mounts to the swingarm. I see you got some fender struts that bolt onto the bottom of the shocks. Thanks.
ive got a 2001 vt1100 sabre bobber.....i had no front fender .i live in ohio by the lake.i got caught in a small cloud burst.....i will always have a front fender.....
I'm actually in Akron, rode once in the rain, never again lmao I had a fender for this, unfortunately when it's parked there's no room for one, back of the front wheel is 1/8" from the radiator! This is a show bike only anyway!
When you hit the lowering switch :-D

I used 1/8” steel strapping to make 4 mounts, and yeah, bolted to swingarm and fender!
