Rogue fights Carol's conscience in her mind. It then forms a psychic form outside rogues mind. She is loosing carols powers each time they fight and when they're close to each other. The psychic form becomes more solid and more powerful. Rogue is helped by Warren(Angel) who in turn was helped by magneto gave angel his wings back. And made a machine to separate carols consciousness out of rogue. Rogue keeps carols powers. And carol wakes up from her coma. This takes place sometime after the X-Cutioners Song. Using the Siege perilous stone from dr. Strange to save the xmen and have the world believe they died. Each of them is rebirthed what if they didnt join the xmen ect.
@Elliot Yeah, if they do explore it in Dark Phoenix, they'll make Jean the one in with him, who turns when Charles rejects her. They'll probably make her a silly little girl with a crush. I always remembered Jean and X being close, I always thought it was father daughter/father. In the first X men movie, she was always by his side like a doting daughter...
And when did "Miss Marvel" become "Captain Marvel".... I thought "Shazam" was "Captain Marvel" originally ("Shazam" was just the power phrase they turned him from an ordinary man into a superhero)? I am very confused... I too remember the 90's X-Men animated series where Rogue recounts her past and how she got her ability to fly super strength and shoot blasts of energy out of her hands! Ok I feel really old now. :-\
Not mutually exclusive. In real life, I'd want to stay far away from someone like Rorschach, but I like him a lot as a character. He had plenty of less than admirable qualities, but I have to respect the guy's commitment.
Well when you are investigating a case of a missing innocent child and you not only find where she was last seen, but then figure out what happened to the child and you find the perp? Yeah, I would have totally fucking snapped.
Daredevil? He saved an old man from being hit by a truck and because of that he got hit and blinded by the chemicals on the truck so what's shameful about that?
"Rorshach" is NOT derived from "Blair Roche." It is a reference to the similarity of the constantly-shifting white and black patterns of his mask, to the ink blots used in a psychology test of free association to gauge a patient's emotional state. The name of this procedure is the "Rorshach Test."
Shortly after Rogue's battle with Ms. Marvel, she realized Carol's personality/powers were permanently part of her. Carol's personality was tormenting her. So she sought help from Xavier and the X-Men. They weren't so warm and welcoming at first. Carol was their friend after all, and Rogue had assaulted her. The X-Men and Avengers never forgot what she did to Carol, but they knew they had to help her because her powers were too dangerous, and they wanted to make sure something similar didn't happen again.
I think everyone who's a kid of the 90s know that Rogue nicked her powers from Captain Marvel, as there was an episode of the X-Men cartoon dedicated to the origin of some of rogue's powers when Captain Marvel's memories began to surface and also how she put Carol Danvers (captain marvel) into a coma as a result of stealing her powers, etc, and how prof X helped her locked away those memories, etc. It's basically how Rogue got her permanent ability to fly and her super strength to go along with her ability to steal abilities.
I think he was intentionally pronouncing it "raw shark" which is a line of dialogue by the detectives that get called to the his location when he "murdered" Moloch. It's literally how it's pronounced by specific characters in the comic series.
Actually it's both wrong. Because Rorschach is a swiss name. None of you English-speakers can pronounce the name correctly, because very few English-speakers aside from maybe students of the German language are able to create the "ch"-sound properly and instead substitute it with a "k"-sound.
6:13 panel of Wolverine watching Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch....box says: "I'm the best at what I do and what I do is hide in the bushes and watch creepy sex." 😂😂
Actually being that I grew up reading the ORIGINAL origins of a good few of these marvel heroes, ( as of this writing, I'm 54) Rogue's origin I both remember and own the books for; She didn't wait to jump miss marvel out of desiring her power, she did as Mystique told her to and was stealing powers and combat abilities from various heroes to help get her ready to take on a bigger "master plan" that her mother Mystique had, as well as taking down "troublesome" heroes to make the odds against the bad guys more in their favor.... HOWEVER, when Miss Marvel proved too difficult to steal her powers with just a hands on grabbing like she did with the other heroes prior ( this was due to her half alien origin), Rogue figured she just needed to hold onto her for a little LONGER then normal... this resulted in the PERMANENT stealing of all her powers, INCLUDING a copy of all her memories, that slowly drove the mutant woman nearly insane. She quickly developed huge problems figuring out which memories was her own and went to Charles Xaver to beg him to help her before she really did go mad.
Sigh. I already knew all this. I just don't like how they made the Professor a "pedo" during the Onslaught storyline. But I'd like to see what the MCU does about Rogue draining "Ms Marvel's" power when Carol's being introduced as "Cap. Marvel" there.
rogue didn't join the "evil mutants group" because she thought they were evil, but because they were fighting (and killing) humans who did them wrong or were about to do them wrong (in her eyes), but she was manipulated by mystique
Not to mention that once Rogue swiped Carol Danvers' abilities (and memories, something she could do* in the comics that never made it to the movies) they discovered that Rogue KEPT them, dooming Carol to one of those idiotic Guy Gardner situations in which a character has to rebuild themselves from the ground up and nobody likes it so editors decide to undo the undo and redo the doo-doo dee dee diddly doo dum dum. Having two sets of conflicting memories also started driving Rogue bonkers, which is why she went to Professor X for help, defended him against Mystique, and ultimately joined the angels' side, even patching things up with Carol. *I say "could do" because I don't know how that's changed over the years since I last read an X-Men book
For the dogs eating the girl, whenever a animal is/has eaten human flesh, that animal is killed in due process. Lions, tigers, bears, (oh my) alligators, snakes, cats, dogs, anything.
There are other survivors from Mars: - Seventy White Martians (they were imprisoned in a place similar to The Phantom Zone) - Several Green Martians came to Earth originally as researchers but became corrupted and set themselves up as gods in the distant past. They survived to the Present by taking over the bodies of humans, going from body to body. They eventually acquired bodies with superhuman abilities.

SOOO many things wrong with this vid... A litany of pronunciation gaffes that I won't go into. Factual errors or just plain ignorance. Have the V/O "artist" and writer actually READ Watchmen? I suggest they do, especially with reference to what sends Rorschach over the edge. And is the blank screen and music at the end of the vid simply there to pad out the runtime for ad revenue?
@Elliot I agree that Kovacs' world view was a bleak one, given his upbringing, but it is the heinous slaughter of a child, her subsequent dismemberment and the attempted method of her body's disposal that does indeed prove to be the tipping point. He may not have required much pushing... nevertheless these events DID provide that push.
What I don't get (1) is why the grounds keeper (Logan) wanted to kill anyone in the first place. (2) so what if Professor X is in love with Jean, he never acted on it and even tried denying the very thoughts? Ok, sad that your father figure was actually an unwanted love interest but not the end of the world.
Also that is not the only thing bad the professor x has done, he has deleted people's memory, cheated exams, and allowed villains to break into the mansion and hurting his students.
While Magneto was Wanda and Pietro's father, Magda had them in The High Evolutionary's castle in the Swiss Alps. At the same time that The Whizzer and Miss America were there to have their baby delivered. Miss America died and her babies were still born and deformed. Bova, an evolved cow, delivered both sets of children. She told The Whizzer that Wanda and Pietro were his children but he ran off grief stricken so Bova found an elderly, childless Romani couple and gave the twins to them. So when Magneto found them neither he or they knew he they were related.
Overlooking the most obvious examples... Superman, who began life as a concept in Friedrich Nietzsche's 1883 book on eugenics, Thus Spoke Zarathustra... Which also inspired the holocaust... and Wonder Woman, who began as little more the S&M porn.
In Rorschach's defense, killing the dogs is the best thing he could have done in that situation. Once dogs get a taste for human meat they are almost impossible to rehabilitate.
30 years for a Wolverine origin story? One that retconned his Adamantium claws for BONE CLAWS? That's 2 generations, or 3 sets of writers who could have given Logan a proper origin story all that time!
Most of these have nothing to do with their superhero origins but more their backstory. And they are hardly “shameful “. Except for that bit about Wanda and Pietro.
So...I agree with the comments that are saying that you can do better. Such as: Storm:: sure, at first she was worshipped as a goddess in her native homeland of Kenya, but then she was forced to become a thief by the Shadow King; Magneto: Simply because most people don't remember the time that he was the leader of the X-Men; Spider-Man: he failed to stop a thief that he could have easily stopped and it led to his uncle's death; Juggernaut: Simply because of the fact that he's better known as a villain; Skaar (or however you spell Hulk's son's name); etc.
You got your Storm timeline backwards. After her parents died and she was an orphan on the streets of Cairo she was manipulated by the Shadow King and was a thief and pickpocket, partly to survive.... then she was worshipped as a goddess and used her powers to help the tribes as a young adult prior to being recruited for the new X-Men by Xavier.
Women forced into sex work shouldn't be condemned as shameful. It's an awful situation that can have tragic consequences, nice to see a bit of victim blaming going on. Also, the line about not wanting to let a street corner go unattended.... sex slavery is funny everyone, let's all have a giggle. And "Raw Shark" is a badass? Somebody really missed the whole point of the character. You're not supposed to like him by that point in the story. He's not a hero by any stretch, just a psychopath. (And why is there a picture of The Question? Has anyone involved in this video got a clue what they're doing?). Was this writer going cheap after getting let go from Infowars? This was garbage. So below your usual standard.
@Elliot You have really missed the point of Rorschach, and possibly The Watchmen in general. There are plenty of essays explaining that he's not a good guy. His moral choices are questionable at best. He murders two dogs for no reason, that's not the action of a sane mind. If you're a fan of Ayn Rand, Objectivism and far right politics, then yes... he may be someone you look up to (which was never Moore's intent, he is NOT a fan of Rand) but for most people, he's not meant to be a character we consider "moral". Alan Moore based Kovac's journals on letters written by The Son of Sam. If a character is based on a serial killer.... he may not be the hero. Those journals were sent to New Frontiersman, a far right publication that Rorschach is often seen reading. It's shown to be an incredibly bigoted publication, producing cartoons of a very racist nature. Another clue that should be obvious, if a character is written as smelly and repulsive to those around him... maybe he isn't the good guy. Final clue, these are not the words of a sympathetic heroic character: "The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll look down and whisper "No.” " He's a fascist. If you're fine with that, that's a separate issue, but he IS a fascist.

Hang on, in the dark knight rises Selina kept saying I did what I had too... could it be that she what she was referring to? Am I the only one whose hoping that they explore that Jean/professor x the in Dark Phoenix? Oooh, I think the 90's x men cartoon explores that Rogue Miss Marvel thing!
@@Yroko I'm cool either way👍
@Elliot Yeah, if they do explore it in Dark Phoenix, they'll make Jean the one in with him, who turns when Charles rejects her.

"Rorschach is a badass."
No, no, no it's pronounced "psychopath"
Not mutually exclusive. In real life, I'd want to stay far away from someone like Rorschach, but I like him a lot as a character. He had plenty of less than admirable qualities, but I have to respect the guy's commitment.
Ryan McDee psychopath is a badass?
Well when you are investigating a case of a missing innocent child and you not only find where she was last seen, but then figure out what happened to the child and you find the perp? Yeah, I would have totally fucking snapped.
Rorshach is low end Punisher sans weaponry.
He does some badass stuff because of psychopathy, though.
The Punisher, Daredevil, Spawn, Batman, Red Hood.
Batman origins he was almost like Superman in Injustice kills criminals
No
@Elliot in the first Batman comics the ever was made.
Daredevil? He saved an old man from being hit by a truck and because of that he got hit and blinded by the chemicals on the truck so what's shameful about that?
Wolverine has done way worse things than what's mentioned here.
were those things his origin?
Squirrel Girl or the brain swap w/teen Spidey-Jean Grey thing?
"Rorshach" is NOT derived from "Blair Roche." It is a reference to the similarity of the constantly-shifting white and black patterns of his mask, to the ink blots used in a psychology test of free association to gauge a patient's emotional state. The name of this procedure is the "Rorshach Test."
I feel like you guys are always off with your picks. They just never fit the topic.
How am I Rogue fan since 16, and never knew she threw Miss Marvel off a building?! 😲😳
Since 2016 or when you were 16 ?
10:09 *If she showed up, Rogue could make **_Captain Marvel_** end up being a good movie.* 😂

His name is pronounced roarshack not roarshark
I think he was intentionally pronouncing it "raw shark" which is a line of dialogue by the detectives that get called to the his location when he "murdered" Moloch.
It's literally how it's pronounced by specific characters in the comic series.
Actually it's both wrong. Because Rorschach is a swiss name. None of you English-speakers can pronounce the name correctly, because very few English-speakers aside from maybe students of the German language are able to create the "ch"-sound properly and instead substitute it with a "k"-sound.
@black manta Uhm..no I didn't. Or did you mean the original post? I'm a bit confused.
Ok, first of all, who'd tell Shaq to roar? Second of all, is Shaq within earshot? Third of all, ha you actually read this. XD
@@Wurzelknecht "English speakers?" 😂😂😂
Obviously they are going to ignore the time Carol Danvers spent as a much better character.
@@darrylhamlin7475 I hope not, but we shall see. I just hope the MCU Rogue has her "Ms Marvel" powers along w/ her "rogue touch".
rogue didn't join the "evil mutants group" because she thought they were evil, but because they were fighting (and killing) humans who did them wrong or were about to do them wrong (in her eyes), but she was manipulated by mystique
Who was the editor of Marvel at the time that allowed the “Professor loves his teen student” storyline?
*I say "could do" because I don't know how that's changed over the years since I last read an X-Men book
in the 616 universe they changed Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver's origins they are not Magnetos kids they got their powers from the High Evolutionary

For the dogs eating the girl, whenever a animal is/has eaten human flesh, that animal is killed in due process. Lions, tigers, bears, (oh my) alligators, snakes, cats, dogs, anything.
#10 - Malefic also survived the extinction of the Martians.
Well, in the original comic he was the cause of the extinction of the Martians...
There are other survivors from Mars:
- Seventy White Martians (they were imprisoned in a place similar to The Phantom Zone)
- Several Green Martians came to Earth originally as researchers but became corrupted and set themselves up as gods in the distant past. They survived to the Present by taking over the bodies of humans, going from body to body. They eventually acquired bodies with superhuman abilities.
Damn some of these were just plain nuts.

The death of the scientist who teleported Martian Manhunter to Earth was merely an accident and more of tragic than shameful.
I love Rogue! Minus the film version, I just absolutely love Rogue in X-Men Evolution
Batman tracks down a rapist: broken bones, hospitalization, prison time.
Rorschach tracks down a rapist: murders him in horrific fashion.
The Scarlett Witch did a lot more damage as a 'Heroine' than she ever did as a villainess.
Wolverine is older than Charles, but it's okay for him to get with Jean. Logan is old enough to be her great great grandfather. Literally.
No. 7
Oh its wierd for professor Xavier to fall in love with Jean Grey but ok for Wolverine who's old enough to be Xavier's grandad? 🤷🏾♂️
Yeah a lot of people forget Rogue started out as a villain.
That last pic they have for Rorschach is actually the question
That is one of many Catwoman origins.
Final clue, these are not the words of a sympathetic heroic character:
"The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll look down and whisper "No.” "
He's a fascist. If you're fine with that, that's a separate issue, but he IS a fascist.
