"Rat Race" feat. Justin Piper & Peter MacLean

Featuring long-time musical compatriots, Justin Piper on guitar and Pete MacLean on drums, this moody piece is pretty heavy! The original idea for this song came from wanting to create a cyclical bass line where the beginning/end aren't totally clear, like being on a hamster wheel, so to speak. Once the vibe was clear, the title 'Rat Race' came to me, and I think it pretty much captures the feeling of being caught up in the day-to-day grind, with maybe a ray of sunshine here or there (i.e. the bridge section). I used my Polybrute for the bass and strings, with the main melody on the miniKORG 700fs and the Rhodes MKIII EK10 for all chords and solo section (featuring the EK10's synthesizer). Thanks ‪@TheEntireRobot‬ a.k.a. "Cowboy" Ben Alman for helping with the arrangement/mix. I hope you all enjoy it!
