I’ve been on the fence with getting this. Your video convinced me to buy. Question when in surveillance mode does it text you when you have suspicious activity? I leave my car a lot at the airport and this would come in handy. Thank you for the video!!

How many days can you keep the videos mine is 4-5 days I think it’s very limited with the sdcard
I'm not sure. I haven't really checked. Storage is affected by many factors like eMMC capacity and video settings. This does not use an sd card. It uses eMMC. (Embedded Multi Media Card)
Great info but I have yet not been able to connect my phone to the camera. Do you need to be online? Hotspot on phone off but how do you turn camera hotspot on...setting has no hotspot option.
Connect using wifi on your phone. Turn on wifi on camera. No hotspot.
If only they made it easy, and FAST files transfer. Overall it has potential and great concept.

On my side with hardwire the AI detection in parking mod doesn’t work, if I hit the windshield, the Omni make a full cycle rotation with red led and go straight again :/
I wonder if that's calibration issues. I got it wired. Problem is, the shock sensor works, but not the motion sensor. Anyone figure this out?

If you’re going to use Fuse Taps check which kind of Fuses you’re car has: Mini,Micro, etc don’t buy wrong
@@Sonny15-215 Yes 4G not supported in US but will not drain battery. Maybe try a hardwire kit that has low voltage cut off protection. Not sure if that will work for 70mai

Not really. Mine works with 4G speeds.
Since you installed the dash cam directly into the power source (fuse box), how much power has been used when you park? Does your battery ran low?

Power and battery is good. Car starts right up all the time. I have not tried heads up display. maybe in the future
Hello Greg, Great video here on installing the rotating 70mai. I have my cam installed and am now ready to install the hardwire kit. I followed the links that you have posted several times for the fuse taps and understand I need to order the correct taps that match the fuse I am pairing it with. However, what I can’t seem to find is the fuse taps you used in your videos that are both “yellow” and “black”. All the ones on amazon seem to be only red in color. What am I missing? Thanks for your help.

Hey, my car has an extended warranty and I am afraid that if I use the kit I may lose it, do you know if I could use the 24/7 surveillance functions if I connect it to a power bank?
You can connect to external power souce but that won't last long. You should not lose extended warranty for a hardwire kit. but then again dealerships will always find a reason. A hardwrekit is easily removable without a trace if you need to take your car in.
My friend I have a question for you I just finished buying a 2024 Honda Pilot trailer sport can I install this camera the same set up as you hook it up please let me know if I could do the same installation??
Yes you can install this camera just not 100% sure the fuse locations are exactly the same. Just look for the same use might be a different number location.

Yes. Very posible. I do have different dashcams on at the same time.
since it is drectly connected to the fuse. does it drain car battery when car is turned off.
No the battery will not drain. The hardwire kit will shut off the camera if the voltage goes below a certain level thus saving enough power to start vehicle again.

What about if someone bumped your car from behind or something looks suspicious from the back? Hope you answer thanks
If the car gets bumped it will record if you have the collision on. If a person is suspicious from the back it will not detect.
I have 2021 sienna that have ECU-ACC. Is that for the yellow wire on the hardwire?
If it has no power when the engine is off and turns on when you start the car yes you can use that. I try and refrain from using fuses that says ECU, as these are electronic control units. Just my preference but will work. I'm using IG Feedback fuse

did sent mine back because they immediately put that cam on discount of 25%
and nowhere did they mention (at least on amazon) that its required to have this hardwire cable to use the cam as a parking security cam

No if you install the hardwire kit. Camera will shut off at a certain battery voltage to prevent from draining.

brother the surveillance mode come on automatic when you do the hardwiring right?I conected everything but I update the camera and i tried the surveillance mode but camera don't even bother to move.its like always recording.and the lane departure is failing to calibrate all the time.Thanks for this video brother

Hi, there is no “parking surveillance” feature showing up in mobile app. I am based in Canada.
Also, I use door lock fuse for constant power and wiper for vcc. I used the hardwire kit in honda civic 2023 sports model. The camera turns off as soon as I switched off the car and parking surveillance isn’t working.
Make sure your vcc does actually turn off when engine is off. this differs from vehicle to vehicle

Ho, Hope you can help me, I installed, but as my car has the low profile mini fusibles, I couldn’t attach the wires well. I see that you use something for a better attachment and I’ve follow what you recommend, but I only find the red fuse tap, how can I find the complete kit? Thank you so much!

Really easy. It's the hardwire part that makes it complicated. Try getting a dashcam that uses you OBD2 port as a hardwire or use a dongle from your rearview mirror if you have power in your mirror.

This dashcam does not have that capability. I got a different one for that.
How does it affect the car battery? Will it shorten the battery life of your car?
Not with just the hardwire kit. Although I heard with the 4G hardwire it may. However, I can't say much as I don't have the 4G.

It does. However only got it to work a handful of times. Now I can't trigger it.

It doesn’t support 4G in U.S we’re deprived of some features but paying same as other countries,its a ripoff and overnight surveillance mode may drain your car’s battery
Brother, please help, I connect everything, but when I turn off the engine and leave, the camera does not turn off, although in the options I set it after 5 minutes it should turn on, and the camera does not respond to movement either, what to do help?

Did you ever get motion detection while in Parking Guardian Mode to work correctly?
Here is my deal
It only records a video when I tap on the glass or close the door.
It does not record any motion when I walk close to the car and in front of the dash cam.
Collision detection/Motion detection are enabled and set to high sensitivity.
Time-lapse photography is disabled.
No. I probably got it to work once or twice but thats it. I had a similar issue in the beginning. I was working with their tech but I kind of got busy and never really got back to it. Everything else works great.

Quick update for you. I finally got the AI to work. First I repositioned the camera to below my rearview mirror. 2nd it does not activate until 20 secs of standing in front of the camera. Even standing in front the camera must be able to see the entire body. A human like figure. I think the AI needs a big improvement. 20 secs is way too long to detect. But now it records and follows me.

I used a 5amp fuse. If the dashcam uses a fraction of this, I'd be surprised.
I hope you move the dash cam location, as your left view has too many obstructions.

no it's not.
I'm on my 2nd 70mai Omni, as I got a replacement for a defective unit. This defective unit would only record video from the camera, it didn't respond to voice commands, nor did the surveillance feature work. I spent a month email 70mai support to get a "warranty" replacement. The support team emails kept sending me emails to try this or try that, or send us a video of it not working... on and on and on for weeks. TERRIBLE SUPPORT.
After over a month, I received a shrink wrapped brand new dash cam... and guess what..... IT DOESN'T WORK EITHER! And for the love of God, how on earth do you turn off the driver fatigue warnings... every .... ten ... minutes... " You've been driving a long time, you need some rest"...
This purchase was impulsively made, so it's partially my fault in that regard, I usually research before I buy. So if you are researching your purchase of this camera... save yourself the grief I've been though and buy some other camera for your vehicle... The 70mai Omni will bring you no joy.

He did not mention in the U.S. you can't use the features the hard wire gives. Like A.I. motion detection, collision detection, ADAS, No real time monitoring, and no instant app alert. So you pay exactly what others do but not get the same features. I believe it's a rip off.
