You have given me a great idea for a deck. I pulled apart my Tajic and new Sigarda decks because they were kind of underwhelming but now I can put together the pieces to make something very similar to this. Something that I'm also adding is a slight angel subtheme with cards like Angelic Overseer, Herald of War, Aurelia, and Deathless Angel. I'm also including some werewolves like Huntmaster of the Fells and Mayor of Avabruck for that flip value.
If you build the deck with the mana multipliers (Red and Green mana flares, Miraris Wake, mana reflection et al) you can run board wipes and things like ghostway. This also lets you abuse ETBs.
I didn't watch the end of the video, but halfway through I was thinking the new card dusk to dawn would be pretty sweet in this deck. can get rid of all the big creatures and get almost all of your creatures back from the grave.
I'm finding myself putting Tireless Tracker in more and more decks that have green. The card draw it offers, although a bit slow is great. Plus the artifact tokens it makes it extremely useful in so many scenarios. Throw in a Tamiyo's Journal for bonus points and your set.
My personal Samut deck is more of a "big things.deck," where I ramp up and then play constant, hasted threats and buff up Samut herself. My friends generally run out of removal long before I'm out of threats. (Although I do still have interaction and answers/removal of my own)
Have you thought about Veteran Explorer. It can get fetched by Ranger of Eos and Yisan and it also ramps quickly. Additionaly it can be sacked to the Goblin Bombardment.
Great to see another Amonkhet legendary creature commander deck tech from you. Have you thought of doing a deck with Bontu or one of the other gods as the commander? Everyone is saying Bontu will be great in commander. Rhonas might be interesting too. How about Rhonas infect, as he has a pump+trample ability? Also, what tribes are you hoping for in Commander 2017? Some interesting ideas I heard were knights, wizards, fairies or angels.
Tribes eh?!?!? I think the key is picking a tribe that has a lot of fun "bulk" cards so people can have a good time. I'd say the most likely is dragon tribal. There are solid reprints that wont impact other formats, opportunities for several colors, and people love them. I love them too. I think elementals could be a really strong tribe that is also fun to play the reason it might be a stretch is that it would probably need to be 5 colors. The one I want is tribal rogue/ninja. I'm keeping the gods in the back of my mind. I have ideas but not fleshed out decks. Thanks for the comment!

I thought it was a little weird that most cards are white, when the lands you need to actually cast Samut are in Green and Red. Other than that, I am actually looking to build a Samut deck, and I was going to base mine around reducing mana cost of cards using the Amonkhet monuments and other artifacts and spells, but Human Tribal also sounds like a great way to start.
I don't know i you mentioned her, but Lovisa Coldeyes would be great for the aggro plan and Boldwyr Intimidator is a great tool for giving warriors creatures unblockable
Had you thought about Saskia for human tribal? You get to add black to the deck which opens up more human options like running Alesha; as well as really helping cement a warrior/barbarian sub-theme that can be capitalized on with lords etc. Unfortunately you still can't play Surrak McFightsWithBears in either case, which is too bad is he's got great synergies with humans and warriors (Surrak giving all creatures trample is so delicious paired with Stonebrow giving all trampling creatures +2/+2). Same thing with Yasova. Maybe one day there will be a cool human/warrior tribal general. Tazri just doesn't feel like it was meant for humans so much as allies.
Jumbo Commander oh heck yeah I've got a Uriel deck and he eats people 5 with a good hand. It's would still be strong. I see her like rafuq cause of the double strike who is up there with uril and sigarada but was just trying to find a way to use those tap to pump guys. Just remember not having hexproof has never stopped rafuq
She seemed very one note for me too. I was like: Cool another mass haste effect and then I forgot her. But she has a lot more depth. Makes me realize that many commanders that I'm not excited about may just need a little attention to make them interesting.

So, a couple of questions; Did you have any builds in mind for Samut that don't focus on humans? It's neat, but I admit to not being the biggest fan of Tribal. I'm using your Disgruntled Omnath, love it, it works so surprisingly well, and I wanted to ask, do you tend to update those decks at all as sets release, or is the build you put up originally pretty much it?
I would suggest dropping a lot of the combo potential and going for a more balanced build. If you make the mana more evenly distributed you can cut down on the mana base a lot. You can cut the $30 sword (just liked the recursion), Azusa at $27 is powerful but not super important in here, Saffi, Recruiter and knight of the reliquary are also easily replaced. That's $100 of easy cuts especially when you can add Godo for 50 cents or a Herald of War for 1.50.
@Jumbo Commander: What would you think about a token deck with Samut at the helm? I have been piecing one together but still havent decided on the CMDR. Great videos though keep it up!
I dunno, I feel that this build is a bit like "Throwing in everything and hoping something sticks". Human tribal is one of the better ideas for it, don't get me wrong -- Especially with Odric, Lunarch Marshal providing keyword anthem amongst all your humans. Personally though, I've been messing with and tweaking Ally tribal -- These colours are too good to pass up, while with the tirbal commander it feels very much like good stuff, stuffing in all the allies. Here you can focus on the three colours and build it as you like it -- Right now mine's a mixture of recursion with a bit of flicker for those sweet ETB triggers, and general good stuff for ramp and aggro. tappedout.net/mtg-decks/gangland-samut-ally-tribal/
Hey, that's a good observation. Sometimes the videos that I post may have that feel to them for a few reasons but mostly I want to open up different strategies for different people. I think a lot of people will take one idea or one package and include them in their decks while filling out the rest with their own style. For example I own this deck and it's got a human theme to it but I went all in on voltron because I scrapped my boros deck (way too boring) and my selesnya humans deck (underpowered). I think this is how a lot of people build new decks so I'm hoping that if I present a few different strategies they can be jumping off points for inspiration. I love your Ally idea. I think focusing on colors is a really good take on it. I personally made a Mardu version (even though the commander Tazri is technically 5 colors). I think the flicker in white is one of the strongest parts of the deck because the alies are all about ETBs. I think this is a great strategy for Samut. Kudos

With Samut being a R/G creature, how would you be able to use white spells since white isn't in her costing cost? just curious like I said still new to Commander format. thanks again and keep up the great work

While I'm very happy you picked Samut, I feel you went with a rather boring direction. But I might simply not be a fan of the human tribe ;) I do like the Project X -like Safi combo though ;)
I really liked the deck, but I went through a complete different plan with her. I went full dick mode and made the decktech around making opponents creatures enter the battlefield tapped and never untapping, while my deck was full of vigilance and untap effects, disrupting almost every creature heavy strategy.
Hahah, that's really funny. I should have thought of that strategy. I'm going to save that idea for a future video. I have not done a stasis style stax lockdown deck yet ... maybe it's time I try it out. Overall, great angle!
I don't want to be accused of being a xenophobe but humans are clearly a way better race than eldrazi. EDIT: Although we did need a Moonfolk/Soratami (Tamiyo) to save us from eldrazi ... so are humans the master race? EDIT 2: RACE WAR!
I'll change it for the next video. Of the time spent on a video adding background music takes up so little but it can make a huge impact on how it is received. I'm going to pay more attention to the music tracks I add under my narration. Thanks for the feedback.
No Beastmaster's Ascension or anything else like that? I feel like Humans is the weakest build for her. 1V1 maybe relevant a bit.... but in multiplayer you would probably just get stomped. Token gen/"good stuff" is a much better way to build her.
I think it depends on your meta. You might prefer a more traditional naya deck. Feel free to check out one of my early videos on Hazezon Tamar (ua-cam.com/video/i91pyCXhazw/v-deo.html). It has a lot of classic stompy naya elements to it.
Jumbo Commander - I do think that other deck tech overall is better than Humans tribal. I might be a little bias though because unless it's 1v1 I think tribal is way vulnerable to board wipes against multiple people. If you combine a few of the elements from the other deck tech with Samut, I think it would be really good. I think Samut really shines with token and some pump cards(generally equipment), type of build. That is how I built mine and it works great so far against some control matchups and against aggro. Overall though... I give you a lot of credit for making these videos all the time, I think i've seen almost every one of them lol. Naya is where my heart is though, so I think i'm a little more critical of it.

adriana captain of the guard fits amazingly in this deck a melee anthem is extremely powerful

I am too. I also find myself putting lifecrafter's bestiary in a lot of decks too. A lot of new solid card draw in green.

Nope, she's a great voltron commander. Although imo it is hard to compete with Uril and Sigarda because they have hexproof.

Jumbo, could you make a budget version of this? This deck packs a shitton of cards in the 5-15 price range, not to mention stuff like fetchlands :S

Naya tokens is really great idea. There are a ton of synergies in those colors. Good luck

its too difficult to play samut in modern .5 mana for an aggro deck is just too much

Samut is red/green. That means you can only use red and green cards...
