One thing that determines the usability of Adas is maps ,must it use hd maps and can it be used anywhere or it is only usable in specific cities, would compete well if is usable anywhere because competing adas like huawei inside and mobile eye have updated theirs to be used anywhere

So Li Auto is not bound to HD maps per se. It is using Neural nets, but it's TIN (traffic Intention net) is using a kind of HD map that is constantly updated by Li Auto fleet data, non-reliant on a 3rd party HD mapping service.
You can watch this video which talks more about the mechanics of the system:

you guys plan on reviewing the refreshed Model 3? and possibly do a comparison with its competitors?

    • @ChinaDriven

No one is going to lend us a model 3 refresh to compare to competitors. If you don’t follow us on twitter you should @chinadriven
Already voiced a lot of my thoughts on there about the “update”

@@ChinaDriven I just went thru your twitter account and see you already hate the whole brand. Thats cool.
Just curious, why would no one lend you the car?

@@Pookgai420 Don’t hate Tesla’s. Our camera guy owns a model 3 and I think it’s sublime to drive in the mountain roads. I just think the silly hyping of mundane features of the refresh m3 is silly.
Was hoping that the refreshed M3 was gunna bring something new, exciting to the table. Instead it bought a strip of LEDs and ventilated seats. That’s my hot take of it.
So it’s not that I hate the brand. I enjoy the steering and the ride on spirited driving. But the m3 is cramped in the rear seat, and rides on the harder side which in bad city roads can be jarring.

@@Pookgai420 As to getting hold of a car. We review almost only Chinese EVs so we don’t have a connection with Tesla China.
If we can get hold of one I’d like to at least give it a try. Always great to know every model better.

@@ChinaDriven I guess American perspectives are different because we don’t have access to Chinese brands here. So lots of the superfluous updates on the refresh is exciting because we’re used to bare bones.
I personally see Tesla’s vs Chinese EV’s to be similar to iPhones vs Android. Androids have better features and tech but iPhones have better software.
Car infotainment UI/UX is an often under appreciated aspect of vehicle reviews and in my opinion Tesla’s software in the car and phone app is the best in the US market. Unfortunately their hardware features are lacking.
I appreciate you getting back to me.

      @ChinaDriven  10 місяців тому +1

Well so far NIO haven’t really put out any City steer NOA function.
I’m hoping they roll out quickly and into my city so I can play with it in my ET7

Not an accurate video as the one of Xpeng Robotaxi.... It is always at 4x speed, we see the driver touching the driving wheel, this is ADAS level 2, not 3 or more... Very far from XNGP! Even Ford pretendly did better, and Tesla fakely does better, but without sparing all accidents...

If want to watch 1hour and a half here is the original speed video: ua-cam.com/video/kCKnGkOung8/v-deo.html
I’ve given the exact times the system was active and not active.
No claims were made about it compared to XNGP. All are considered level 2. And this was a trip in the system before it was pushed to customers.
So I don’t agree this video is not accurate. It’s a completely accurate representation of the drive we had. With the steering wheel, engineering screen and road clearly visible.
If you’d like to see a summary watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/_EV6SshgDbs/v-deo.html
If you’d like to see some XNGP watch the end of this G6 video: ua-cam.com/video/JzAva_RREVI/v-deo.html

@@ChinaDriven Thank you for this long and accurate response... Your video is nice, but the system is only level 2, and depending of the driver, not fully autonomous for security purpose... It needs to be activated, so can be deactivated! All system are far from perfection, Hyundant, and moreover Xpeng need to search perfection, and all car brands should use their solutions and improve them! There cannot be any opponency for security and efficiency reasons...
