Jeep Journey to DOCTORS POINT & FIRE LAKE | The Ramble Off-Road

- This week we decided to take our Jeep Gladiators into the trail least traveled to a magical place called Fire Lake. But first we're venturing deep into Doctors Point.
Fire Lake is located at the base of Fire Mountain just north of Tipella, British Columbia. To reach the trail you must use the West Harrison FSR and take it all the way to its end. Doctors Point is on this FSR and a small jaunt through a dense forest and small obstacle gets you a beautifully remote beach to enjoy. From there it's a hop, skip, and a jump to Fire Lake FSR where you will be tasked with entering what we have dubbed... "Scratch City".
The view of Fire Lake was epic even from where we ended up and our journey here is far from over. Later this summer we will attempt this epic trail again and reach a lookout above the lake.
The Ramble is a group of off road enthusiasts who like to tell stories. Join us as we go off the grid and off-road in search of the most spectacular views this country has to offer!
Greg is running a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Willys with the Eco Diesel engine in the awesome Snazzberry color, on Fuel wheels with Mickey Thompson tires and a Teraflex lift.
Stefan drives a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon with the 3.6L Pentastar engine and his is shown in Grey. He's running Fuel wheels with Nitto Ridgegrappler rubber, as well with a Teraflex lift and Falcon Shocks.
Scott is our co-pilot, navigator and second camera. You can thank him for half of all the amazing shots you see throughout our videos. Thanks Scott!

Great video. Really enjoy the style. That spring melt needs to go away right now.
Thank you. Love your content! And we couldn't agree more, the snow needs to go!
Nice!
Hey thanks!
Great videos. Very good made - really love the idea with the communication via radio! Awesome rigs too! Helps me surviving the waiting time for my JT... Waiting for the net episode. Greetings from germany.
You will love your JT! We are grateful for your words 🙏
Thank you! The next video is in the works as we speak.
@@TheRMBLOffRoad I'm pretty sure that I will love the JT... They official released the JT this year in Europe. It was a long time completely unclear if we will get the Gladiator. It's only available as a diesel. They told me it will arrive in September. I ordered back in March.
Looking forward your next adventure! Such a beautiful nature you live in...
@@alexbeselin4433 the one in red is a diesel and has amazing torque. We think diesel is the way to go. Glad to hear Europe got the Gladiator.. September can't come sooner!
ABSOLUTELY stunning views and shots! Those rigs are SICK!
Thank you, we love them! They are fantastic machines 👏
Great job. Beautiful scenery and I really loved the choices in music. Excited to see more.
Stay tuned! More to come 😉
@@TheRMBLOffRoad I can't wait. 😊
New subscriber, loving the content and quality in all your videos keep it coming!
Thank you, that means the world to us! And we sure will be trying to find great places to visit this summer.
Stunning scenery
Thank you so much Yanni! 💪
Just found your channel. I got my first off-road vehicle earlier this year, a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon.
Surprised you only have 200 subscribers. That won't last long with the quality of these videos produced so far. Once you hit a magic number, say low thousands, you'll rocket to 100,000 subs in maybe 2 years. Your videographers are very talented. Good music, adequate radio chatter, no dogs or talking heads (which too much of annoys me). The only glitch in this particular vid is it didn't look like true 4K. Maybe it wasn't recorded with the proper settings, or the UA-cam upload degraded it, or maybe something on my end. But that can be solved with time. The content is most important--Gladiators off-road!
We are definitely working out some kinks but appreciate the feedback! Out of curiosity, did you watch on phone, desktop or TV?
@@TheRMBLOffRoad A 30" 4K monitor/desktop. Even others' 1080p uploads look sharper when properly done. Switching through 720, 1080 and 4K in this video doesn't seem to increase the resolution (sharpness) much. Just a little sharper from 720 to 1080, but no noticeable difference from 1080 to 4K. Are you recording in 4K with all your cameras?
@@TomSupergan All footage is recorded in 4k, however the resolution for export is UHD. There is something going on, but it appears to be on UA-cam's end as switching to 4k on some of our screens makes quite the difference, while others not so much. 🤔
Gotta love the sound of fresh BC Pinstripes being applied……. Nice drive guys!! Did that trip about 5yrs ago, nowhere near as overgrown as you guys found…..
When we went I don’t think anyone had been up for a long while…pretty wild though
Have to make it to the top one day
@@TheRMBLOffRoad apparently the views are comparable to Molybdenite on a good day…
@@RocknOverlanding then we shall endeavour to make it up there this year!
Beauty vid! How low was that log on the way in to Doctors point? Looks like not a lot of room under there and we're attempting this next weekend with a high roof Delica in the group
It was probably around 1.5 hours from the start. The trees are also not too low, so the Delica should be okay. It's a stunning beach! You'll love it.
Did you fellas end up trying to reach the lake again? We tried a few weeks ago but the road was almost entirely grown in! Maybe 10k from the lake
Haven’t been up there in a couple years now, the road was pin stripe city when we went and we don’t feel like using branches as sandpaper on our rigs anymore haha.
But there is a plan to get clear it and make it up eventually. It’s just been a long process of figuring out how much equipment we would need.
@@TheRMBLOffRoad Haha no way! So my friend and i were half joking about wanting to go back up and try clearing it as well, and ya pending more efficient equipment. Wild suggestion but if the stars happen to align we'd be psyched to come help out. Or whenever we happen to head up again ill try reaching out too!

Any progress on going back to fire lake ?
@@iiBakerBoii haha unfortunately no, cause i definitely dropped the ball following these messages!
