Pantene Pro-V Repair & Protect Leave In Dry Oil, IT'S A MUST TRY!
I very much enjoy exploring new hair products and styling my hair. I explore with different products for thicker hair, as I have naturally quite fine textured hair but lots of it, so anything that boasts volume, lift and texture is a must for me.
Though with this said, I also very much love those combed slicked back styles inspired with the 1910’s and 1920’s era at heart. Of course, these styles are always about product choice whether that be a traditional strong hold gel or wet look gel, to a high holding well-oiled pomade or even Brylcreem with that protein enriched bonus offering endless shine to your style. All true favourites of mine.
Whilst we are on product choice, another favourite for me is the pompadour style and I am always on the lookout for products which work with me, not against in the quest for the perfect pompadour. Such as, products like shampoos and conditioners designed to create the perfect scalp environment to boast thicker hair growth, sprays to boast thicker hair, increasing structure and fullness, which naturally fall with higher hold products, or hair styling waxes and hair styling pastes that control hair and guide into place to create better styling. I also use texturizing powders and freeze hold styling spray to create these looks such as the pompadour or styles needing big volume or impact. With the pompadour when styling the more height you can create the better, so product choice is key.
With product choice I also enjoy trying anything that suggests can work to improve hair styling and my hair quality such as hair oils, serums whether for smoothness or thickness, and I am always willing to try those treatments that tell us we can have more hair. Of course, we can question this, and often we do greatly…. Sometimes it may work, others may just fake it until the next shampoo. With product choice it really does depend on what style I am going for on the day. Products which make life easier such as improved speed of styling or giving hair the feel of more hair when it comes to styling hair, is always worth a try, and you’ll find I often explore many.

Everything you said is absolutely right. I tried this on my hair today after washing it and oh wow I was shocked my hair just loved it my hair felt like new lol it’s been really dry and ruff feeling lately and am so glad I took your advice and got this product from Asda for £3.50 bargain !

I’ve been using this on my straight hair and so far it’s made my hair so soft and shiny however it has dimethiconol in it and I’ve read this can lead to build up and over time can make hair damaged and brittle? What do you think about this as a long term risk should i stop using it?
Hello there and thank you for your comment. My apologies for the delay in coming back to you. Personally I have been using this for several years now on and off and I see no issue. I think it's a very good product. In my family, my Mum uses it on her very long nearly waist length hair. My brother uses this on his curly hair, and my Nan used this on her hair which was incredible into her mid nineties. I hope this reassures you, I see no issue here personally, it's a fantastic nourishing oil. I believe there are greater risks in life just walking down the street. Best wishes to you! : )

Thanks for the review I’ve just bought this oil and only used it twice, I like it it’s not as heavy but I don’t like the strong perfume smell it put me off.
Thank you for your comment I truly appreciate it, I do exactly understand what you mean and yes it can be a little off putting but having bleached areas of my hair it has really transformed the quality and health of my hair, so I found that putting up with the smell really gave way to great benefit for my hair. I always spray aftershave or cologne after using it so I don't really notice to be fair. Thank you for sharing this.

how to use? wet hair or dry?
Hello there, thank you for your comment. My apologies for my delay in coming back to you. I would always suggest using any wet products on wet hair before styling and less is more here. Of course you can always use an oil like this as a pre shampoo treatment and if you have very dry hair or particularly damaged hair a small amount of this on dry hair would be great to support hair health and vitality of the hair. My hair is going to bald. Actually not bald but. But my forehead hairs going to thick so does it help to save my hair and regrowth?

However in terms of hair loss, then this product will not help. Try to look for something stimulating and targeting treatments. I review some very good ones and supplements. Take a look at Loreal professional's Serioxyl denser hair solution, Nioxin's sandalore anti hair loss spray and Nioxin's night density rescue for targeted helpful products, as well as caffeine based products to help energise your hair and scalp as well as shampoos and conditioners that are designed and targeted for thinning hair. Can we use it on the scalp ?
Hello there and thank you for your comment. I see no reason why you couldn't, of course please try carefully first, but I have done so towards the bottom of my hairline by my neck and I've experienced no issues. It's of course for hair but it's a dry oil and a very good one too! Best wishes to you! ( You may ask why I used it slightly under my hairline, well some products make my skin slightly dry and this worked very well, strangely enough, I have also rubbed through my hands after my hair as I have very dry hands at times and it works amazingly, but that's me so please be careful!)

my sister got this for me today i have shoulder length hair and i am 16 i was jus looking into the ingredients label on the back and read that it has dimethicone and im worried if its gonna damaged it rn it jus sprayed 2 pumps and its amazing i have to say but im worried on the long term use of this product i tend to keep off sulfates and silicones, i use johnson and johnson baby shampoo its really gentle and has no sulfates or silicones.

I can only go from my own experience and I have been using this for years on and off and I've never had any bad effects from it, only good. I appreciate everyone is different but my Mum often uses this, my Nan also used this and as well as bothers too and no one in my family has had a negative effect. All I can say is as you use it just pay close attention to your hair and if you see your hair changing then perhaps leave it off for a while and evaluate the change yourself. No one knows your hair better than you do. Take great care, all the very best to you!

Hello there and thank you for your comment, I have used this for a very long time on and off and never come across such a smell. It should smell rather fresh with an almost floral tone, however I suppose such a smell could slightly be construed as a faint alcohol tone. I'm not sure if I am honest, sorry about this, I would say just be cautious. Best wishes to you!

Yes this is a hair oil, but it is a dry hair oil, therefore it is not greasy and does not leave your hair stuck to your head, it really brings back health and vitality to your hair. It's not heavy or too much for fine hair. It's a great favourite of mine! Best wishes to you!

Thank you for your comment, in answer to your question I found no issues with this product. It really looks after your hair, and when used regularly it allows you to use heat on your hair and many styling products. It's very repairing and brings great health to the hair. In my opinion it's great all round. Hope this helps!
