@RWTW2306 People and pundit say Warriors and Curry ruined basketball the prob are not GSW and Curry the problem is team who copy GSW and wanna be players who imitate Curry . Curry cannot be copied he is unique.
This was the year I happened to get really into basketball & the Clippers specifically. I vividly remember watching this series and was actually looking back on it a couple days ago with fond memory. Thanks for this video. This series turned me into a basketball fan for life.
Man Chris Paul is such a legend.... It's such a shame he doesn't have a ring because he has some great playoff moments. It's just never really come together for him. His game 7 in this series was epic. Privilege to watch.
So memorable & nostalgic for so many reasons. I was a clippers fan heavy but my family ordered the ‘Floyd v Manny’ fight i remember sneaking off to watch this game in my room while everyone was in the living room watching the fight. Legendary day.
I think that series was better than this one actually, several OT games, Gordon and Allen going at it, Rose vs Rondo, big baby and Truth hitting clutch shots for the Cs, Gordon matching them. All around one of the greatest series I’ve ever seen
as a diehard Clippers fan from far country (Philippines to be exact) and just watching in TV every game this series is the best Clipper series I've watched next to the Clips vs Jazz series that Clippers finally stepped in WCF stage
Duncan put up impressive numbers in this series despite his age… Kawhi went MIA in this series and no other player stepped up to the plate.. CP3 went bananas in that game 7 ✔️
This was total cinema. The defending champion Spurs who were finally healthy for once that year, going up against the best of those Lob City Clipper teams. It did not disappoint one bit.
Living in San Antonio now, originally from Florida. These people are crazy about these Spurs they still talk about them referring to this squad. Tony Parker, Kawhi, Danny Green. And they ABSOLUTELY GO NUTS about Duncan and Ginobli 😂😂😂😂 honestly about 5-6 Manu Paintings on the side of buildings and a couple restaurants.
Sick edit, that was an awesome series, its always crazy to me when series come down to one possession almost every game. I see Hack a Jordan in full effect dude is missing in key moments lol. If he only took the damn time to learn to shoot free throws his presence in key moments could have swung games their way and possibly could have won a title with that squad barring injuries. Crawford, Reddick, Barnes, Jordan, Blake, CP3, Rivers, Davis is a pretty solid rotation. And of course CP3 always injured lol
It’s insane how the clippers really should have 3 championships right now (this year, 2020 bubble, and 2021) but wasted it all away with blown 3-1 leads or Kawhi getting hurt in 2021. I think this one or 2021 was there best chance.
@@lorddj9910 in 2015? Not a guaranteed but the 2015 nba was very weak and a young warriors team would beat a hurt cavs team in 6. 2015, 2020, and 2021 playoffs were there for the taking for them.
@DeboW-m3x Exactly, people don't realize that GSW beating that the Hospital Cleveland team in 2015 gave them motivation for 2016. Clippers most likely gave GSW a much better run than choking Harden
Yeah but you knew they weren't gonna win the title that year. Championship teams don't lose the last game of the regular season when winning meant getting #2 seed and losing meant getting #6 seed. Other than Old Man Riverwalk Duncan himself, I didn't feel like they had the necessary fire to get it done.
This series is a great example of the bias that was David Stern's NBA. Officiating was so poor it led to so many Clippers comebacks this game. So many touch fouls on the Clippers you can even see them in these highlights. And I bet all these LA fans who probably werent even watching live are gonna come at me in the comments section

Tim Duncan vs Chris Paul in round one. That's the difference between today's nba and back then nba. No first round matchups in the 80s or 90s was even watchable. Fast forward a few decades later you have a finals worthy matchup in the first round.
This is the best clippers team, blake griffin and deandre jordan are still prime strenghts and good guards like chris paul and jamal crawford, but the ball is so round and they just lack in the end..
Forget about Ciippers that year they choked against Houston....that Spurs team was deep!...if they managed to make it to wcf that year Warriors wouldn't won that year.....

Coaches in suits. No sponsors on jerseys. Teams not just blindly chucking threes.
We used to be a society
They were already starting to do it. Look at the Spurs players, with their arms out, behind the arc.

wtf same it was the first finals i watched

Clippers win looks even more impressive when you remember they played under coach Rivers
That might be the reason Spurs almost snatched this 😂😂😂😂
They were so talented. CP3 Blake DAJ Reddick Barnes Crawford and a whole bunch of known entities on the bench ... plus Austin Rivers.
CP3 was the real coach on the court. Doc was just sitting there. Nobody knew why.

Glad we got some Pinoy Clipper fans from the Philippines.
As a Spurs fan... Barnes, Big Baby, and Austin Rivers drove me crazy in this series. They kept delivering!
Got some hard flash backs. side note this was the best Big Baby ever played since.
Duncan put up impressive numbers in this series despite his age… Kawhi went MIA in this series and no other player stepped up to the plate.. CP3 went bananas in that game 7 ✔️
parker was also not healthy but playing. though the same thing can be said about cp3.
Didn't kawhi miss like 1 or 2 games?
It was a very entertaining playoff series to watch, both teams had a great starting lineup and had a top bench that responded when they came off it.
Now that was a Game 7 to remember. Crazy shot by Paul and then Barnes stealing the inbounds.
Spurs legacy,a gem'sad but,it's a game,cp3 clutch basket,is historic!!!!

Bulls vs Celtics way back 2009 was the best there is! almost Half of those games were settled in OT not in regulation time
Facts
Bulls vs Celtics in 2009 is the GOAT NBA playoff series
Are you counting all the Finals and conference finals, or just using the word GOAT to mean it was really good?
So true, this series is forgotten - but it was a war for the ages
I am fan golden hoops 😊
Blake was dunking all over the place bro
This had no business being a first round series but this was back when division records were taken into account
Def was a great series just wish we couldve seen this when TP Duncan and Ginobili were in their primes.
cp3 was beyond his mind in this series.
Keep in mind CP3 was hurt this series
Should have been a wcf or nba finals worth. Man still remember that shot Paul made over Timmy in game 7. Ridiculous. Blake almost broke his back 😅😅
