Finally a way to keep my carded rocket firing Boba Fett pristine.
I just tried calling and received a recording that stated, "Due to expected astronomically high call volume, your call can not be put though at this time. To remain on hold, where your call will be answered in the order in which it was received, press "1". To receive a call back, once all calls have been answered, in the order in which they were received, press "2". To get a life and realize it's just a piece of plastic that will eventually disintegrate into nothingness, simply hang up and get on with living".
I'm still on hold. 😉
Good stuff JM. Grading has taken the fun out of collecting for comics, cards, and toys in my opinion. In comic collecting they call it "slabbing" an issue. It might as well be called "slabbing" because in my opinion you have sent whatever you had graded to a see through coffin for an item you can never touch or read again.
That number is in Macon Georgia, but I'm still hesitant to call.

Only way my figures are getting graded is if I make them all tiny little report cards to hold.

Lol , Excellent Junkman. I always felt that grading was a scam, or certainly unnecessary. The plastic cases are cool for displaying a prized possession if desired, but the actual grading is not needed. People just use it to jack up the prices. The sun going supernova in 8 billion years? What in the world? They told us we only have 15 years left.

Grading is fine for collector cards, coins, and paper money because it just preserves the item and you can still see all of it. Not a fan of sending off and having a figure or comic graded. I'd rather be the judge of the condition and you can only do that by putting your hands on it and inspecting it. Collector side of me can judge what is in great shape for it's age and what isn't. I don't want to pay to have any of my collection graded. The dealer side of me knows a lot of the price of a figure or comic is the cost of grading it. I don't want to pay extra for it so I wouldn't feel right charging an inflated price to cover the grading process.

Grading comics, toys, and cards is a to be a value added proposition when considering to the duties of an Estate Executor / Representative.
Enter item and grade in my software, it calls to various API’s, calculates an aggregate value, and returns that value. Grading is a very valuable resource for estate planning. I made my attorney and family’s life a lot easier.
My father-in-law has a house full of extremely old collectible items and doesn’t even have an inventory. I do not want to have to do that to my wife when I croak.

That method will be obsolete as soon as I finish my quantum flux inverter that will allow an object say an action figure of any grade to be sent back in time where it is elf restored before it is even made thus it is pre mint . In this stated it will perpetually be mint and non mint at the same time at that one point in time forever actually forever, also it will exist and not exist thus keeping the price both high and low.. Only two things holding me back The trillions of dollars needed and a bunch of both mint and non mint action figures needed to do all the trial runs with. So if anyone want to get in on this at a ground level fee free to send piles of cash or action figure my way.

I can picture some collectors nodding their heads, "That sounds like a plan for me" til they get to the end and realize it's too much.
I believe in keeping your stuff nice, but NEVER being able to touch it again? This'll cause some problems down the road.
Having action figures graded (or anything else) seems like it's more for bragging rights than anything.
It kind of reminds me of that Jerry Seinfeld joke about doctors having psychological leverage over you displaying their various diplomas on the wall like they're insecure.
