PANASONIC YOUTH by THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN (original drums by Chris Pennie)

After drum videos dedicated exclusively to what I have done and I currently do with various bands, the time has come to pay tribute to those who helped me be the drummer I am today, stealing with my ears (pre-Internet era) and in some cases with my eyes.
I decided to start with Chris Pennie and a song by the Dillinger Escape Plan, a band that taught me things that now I apply in Bologna Violenta, for instance (from an exclusively drumming point of view).
It is always good to remember that playing other people's pieces is quite easy, it is much more difficult to imagine from scratch a new way of conceiving "new" music and rhythms. Chris Pennie and his ex-band have been able to do this.
