I live 30 minutes from here. This arcade is a dream come true for me. Im 28 and I feel like im 10 when I walk in there. Ive been here for the first time last week and the second yesterday. I love this place, and Im making it my prerogative to come here as many times as i can on a monthly basis
By far the best line up of cabinet's in one place I've ever seen! And I'm Getting old! Incredible stuff.
I love that retro is coming back and in a big way. Retrocades are popping up everywhere. Atari is even acquiring rights to old titles (big news). Awesome.
Hell yea! all of us kids are grown and have money now! and we can do what we want! LOL
Great video but sometimes the audio was bad. Best arcade ever. In the future , please edit your videos before you release them. The video should have been way longer since there are over nine hundred arcade machines. You could have focused on some of the more obscure arcade games. Some of the Aisles look so narrow. Sometimes the audio becomes loud and distorted.

Thank you for this. I first went to GG as half of my Bachelor Party before my wedding the same day I went to All In. I loved being able to play FZeroAX and the Beavis and Butt-Head game. Great place.
If my 1st time going to the ghost was the same day as my wedding, I'd have blown off the wedding!
I love galloping ghost , as a Chicagoan it's a must I go once atleast every three months
Just to clarify, Ninja Baseball Bat Man did come out in North America, but had an extremely limited number of PCBs. Around 50 or less.
They didn't repurpose Popeye cabs into Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong came out first. Donkey Kong was originally going to be a Popeye game but Nintendo couldn't get the license so they changed the characters. Popeye became Mario, Bluto became a gorilla, etc. That's how Donkey Kong was created. Then eventually Nintendo got the rights for Popeye and made a different game. The Donkey Kong cabinets however were repurposed. Originally Nintendo shipped thousands of cabinets to the US of a game called Radar Scope which was another space shooter like Galaga. But when they realized they probably wouldn't do well, they stored them in a warehouse and converted them all into Donkey Kong.
So maybe that's how Punnha got it confused. Donkey Kong the game started out as Popeye but not the cabinets. Donkey Kong cabinets started out as Radar Scope.
The owner of GG should have an agreement with a local travel service to set up tours (Airfare, transportation from airport to GG, hotel). I'd totally jump on it.

I went... I don't know how many years ago, but I do not remember it looking like this. It basically looks like it exploded ever since. Ever since I saw Hi-Score Girl, I've been interested in exploring this gaming niche that I was born just a little too late to appreciate (and my mom never gave me quarters growing up)

As of today they have 1000 arcade games. Their channel uploaded a video a few days ago and they counted every arcade game.
I went there for the first time today i absolutely love this place, i really felt like kid growing up in the 90s all over again lol, they definitely have a new customer.

This place looks great. So many games that I remember playing (Food Fight, Gauntlet, Elevator Action, Jungle KIng, Ikari Warrirors/Victory Road, APB but, the one I forgotten about that I saw was Bootcamp. Some many greats preserved for future generations. I was just in Chicago and didn't even know about this place.
Was just there last night..even though i live 5 minutes away across town, i only seem to go twice a year. But it is always fun!! Love playing Journey, Tron, Joust, Flicky, Zookeeper, Tavern and the hockey themed games.
I bet this place has the biggest Game Central Station in the world!

This arcade is massive. I went there during the pandemic and I was the only customer. It was wonderful. There were 2 employees and me. I considered making a UA-cam video but instead I enjoyed the solice and played many of the games. I miss the pandemic. It was great.

I liked the Donkey Kong cabinets when I was broke. You could slide the glass up and reach the inside coin slot switch and rack up free credits.

Dude it's nice they got Raiden III and IV there. IV was from what I heard, exclusive to Japanese arcades, and I have never seen a cab for Raiden III, but the PS2 version is pretty accurate to what that has. It even had in attract mode in that port. IV also has a very accurate Xbox 360 port as well. I like that Raiden II is here as well

A solenoid technology. Lol. Popeyes (not that rare) were not repurposed into DKs (unless converted by operators). The flop that is Radarscope had many of the red cabs converted to DKs, including the PCBs (4 stack). Look for TRS under TKG sticker and you know you have a conversion.
I think he is confusing the fact that donkey kong was originally supposed to be a Popeye arcade game. Nintendo couldn't aquire the rights from the film company. So, they made a king kong game instead. Popeye came out a yr later after Nintendo got the rights to it.
The cabinets are the exact same shape and similar in color and have the same control panel layout. Wouldn't guess there would be many conversations from Popeye to DK. Popeye came out later and has a horizontal screen. Dk screen is vertical.
Amazing arcade machines, some I know some I don't, you can't beat the classics. I collect the 1/4 scale Numskull retro arcade cabinets and now I'm starting to collect the New Wave arcade cabinets.
I've seen one of the Metal Slug games being played via a stream. And I swear that those games get beyond crazy to beat. As in to see that ending screen, expect to fill the machine's coin box.
I still want to play their DragonGun, they had to create it from an old Steel Gunner cab since no cab of it is known to exist.
