I am so glad you don't blur things out. That ankle was one of the worst I have seen in my almost 40 years of being a nurse. The sweet older couple are the ones that pull on your heart strings and you remember.

We want to see the injuries! That's why I'm here. I'm also a nurse, and while I don't like seeing people in pain, I am fascinated by injuries and want to see everything.

Isn’t that the truth about the elderly couple? I felt so bad for her when she said it didn’t happen when she was talking about having children I’ve known women that could just look at their husband and get pregnant and then these poor souls they just wanna be parents so bad and it just can’t be, back then anyways. Now she is living by herself, looking at pictures of a life that flew past her. I was 59 when my husband passed away on our front lawn. They worked on him for a half hour, but nothing. We couldn’t even use the defibrillator on him because he had no electricity in his body. No electrical current he was gone. One week shy of our 31st anniversary and all the presents were bought. My sons and I open them up during the long weekend in October. My husband‘s been gone 3 1/2 years and it feels forever, but then when I think of our wedding and look at the early pictures of our marriage Feels like yesterday and that’s the part that kills me the most cause I just wanna pop right back to yesterday.
Thank you for choosing to be a nurse for your career. I hold nurses higher than I hold doctors because I see what you guys go through. I’ve been a type one diabetic since I was nine and I’ve had plenty of hospital stays most of not due to being diabetic, but just other things .
      Thank you again. 🩷💐

This show is the best! I love the compassion, humor, and love shown in the worst of a person's life. I always smile and cry, and fall in love with the patients and their loved ones, the doctors, nurses, and staff. I'm visiting England in October 2025 and want to come visit Queens because I love it so much. Thank you from USA.

Shock does that to you. In ‘68 my mom with her five kids and the neighbour girl across the road were in a really bad accident. We flipped four times landed on the tires and fortunately didn’t get hit because we were on the opposite highway that we had been on. My mom got out of the car. Everybody was trying to make her sit down she wouldn’t and then the paramedics and police arrived and they just looked at her and was telling her to sit down on the ground and she wouldn’t. She said she had kids and she wanted to make sure we were all OK and then it hit her hard and she just sat on the ground. She said her left knee look like a rotten tomato that someone had punched right in the middle and then her ankle was like this girl‘s ankle that was twisted and it was just hanging there. Fortunately, my mom had surgery and they saved her foot, but it was an awful surgery job and she suffered with that foot until she passed away at 84. We knew she had little time and when I got that phone call I said to myself, Mom you’re not in any more pain and I’m happy for you.
When you’re in that deep of shock, you just don’t feel pain.

34:15 Imagine being married for so long and get told that this is the end for your husband. Made me cry. I lsot my da in 2013 and he and mum had been married for over 50 years. When he died it took only 7 months and my mum passed away.. That was really tough

When I lost my husband 3 1/2 years ago, I was talking to a friend about my husband‘s death because he was out gardening and the next thing I knew he was gone, but I told my friend I don’t think I loved him as much as I thought because I always told my husband I would die of a broken heart soon after his death and it had been two years and I was still alive. It doesn’t always work out the way we think it’s going to work out. I love my hubby very much.

Here's the US 1960's fall out of a tree care for me as a 4 year old. Father says walk it off. No trips to emergency department. 5 days crawling around the house with an Ace bandage your mother put on. Treatment for concussion? Bath with mother staring at you. No expensive trips to emergency department... Cognitive test? Parent holds up 2 fingers and asks how many fingers do you see? No matter the answer father tells you to walk it off...

I also broke my left foot - but it did not look that bad then in this video - but it is a immense pain .....I also had a accident with my two dogs - one went in one direction, the other went in another direction - and bum I fell straight to the ground hurting my left knee - a long time ago I had my 1 year old on one arm - in the other arm many other things - (to save time!) - and the weight of all was just too much and it made a big bang and I fell down about the last 3 stairs with my son on my arm - dislocating my right kneecap - yeah never try to save time - my boy was ok - but for me it was no fun at all - the medics arrived and told me that the will call the helicopter - -- Why ? This was no life threatening injury.....well they said there is no other ambulance available....so we waited and waited but the helicopter landed far away from where I live - too far - so at the end I was transported with the usual ambulance into the next hospital and I had to have a operation for to fix my dislocated kneecap......but the worst pain was my broken leg.....(ankle joint) - that was the most immense pain I ever felt in my whole life.....and when I went into the hospital I had no good feeling at all of what would await me there - I was right
