Indeed. Dantes was a nobody who couldnt read or write before he went to the prison. But inside the prison, he becomes a monster both in terms of fighting skills and more importantly intelligent.
He gave Edmond hope, and undeniable proof that there were other people in the world who could treat him fairly. I do wonder what would have become of them, had they escaped together as planned. Would he have been willing to aid Edmond in his revenge, I wonder? Would Edmond have chosen to stay with his friend over seeking revenge?
Quiénes son realmente los culpables? San Mateo: 27 : 17, 18 , { 19 } 20, 21, al 25!!!! La segunda guerra mundial, porque sería? Ellos mal dijeron sus generaciones.
Have they not seen 'This sporting life' or Harris as Sulla?? A role is two dimensional as Dumbledore by conparison is a cake walk for such a titan of acting
Jim cavezil is a legendary actor , absolute brilliance , Richard harris was also a legend , wishing u peace Richard out there in the universe , Jim cavezil is finished in Hollywood for bringing the truth out about the evil that hides behind power to do the worst to children on mass , sound of silence , Jim screw Hollywood as u have cemented yourself as a human being and Actor that will always be remembered 😁
100% disagree. Him meeting Vampa and Jacopo and watching him go through all the mechanizations of his revenge is a huge part of the satisfying experience.

I was fortunate enough to be raised on this movie!
It's a gem of a movie
The priest was such a generous man, giving Edmond everything

The book is definitely a classic, but this movie adaptation was great.
The closest version yet. Truthfully, it deserves a miniseries to get the full coverage.
@@TheTsar1918 Have never thought of that, you are definitely right.
Esp the ending, people love a happy ending and so do I rather then a bleak one by other adaptations and book.
@@shady1306 Reminds me of the ending to Shawshank Redemption. Didn't take anything away from the story, just extrapolated what was already there.

Richard Harris was a brilliant actor.
One of the very greatest
@@Donalob agreed.
They really should have marketed this movie better. It was brilliant.
Greatest revenge story ever told.
By far the best
His shout of exasperation after figuring out the conspiracy 😢 you can feel his frustration! 😁
10 ish years seems a long time to have that realisation just quietly, that’s like first month fever dreams
I fucking hate reading and this was by far my favorite book/movie. So many legends.
The right book will always come at the right time. This is one of my favorite stories as well
Thank you who ever uploaded this, it’s exactly what I needed today 🙏
Same
Such a powerful chapter and scene...
Incredibly powerful last words.
And they said Richard Harris was "too soft" to perform fighting scenes as Dumbledore? Show them this movie!
He performed fights also in the movie "Cromwell" (1970). He was starring.

I literally searched for this after a Harris/Gambon comparison video hahahh
A Great Mentor.

What a great man, never stopped no matter what, always pushed forward. I want to be as good as that guy
The look when he says “he burnt the letter” is absolutely brilliant
Richard Harris was awsome!
He was my favorite character from this movie.
The rest of the movie barely survives after these scenes. These scenes are too good!

Que película por Dios!!!! la mejor versión que vi en mi vida!
Mercy = pathway for being Enlightened
My favorite movie alongside the 1975 one
Teach him spells
Similar to the Mask of Zorro (Antonio Banderas) with Anthony Hopkins.
Love this story and movie reminds me so much of my life and how i want revenge for my wrongdoers!
How long must i keep this up givin me a karate kid vibes😮
Movies are seldom as good as the book. This one comes very close.
Nothing beats the book
He believes in you ❤
Good professor in If and Hogwarts.
His best role was as Cromwell.
He was also great as Bull McCabe in The Field, which is my favorite work of his other than Harry Potter and Gladiator
And to think Richard Harris was only 40 during this role
dude, he was 70, born in 1930 - film came out in 2002, point is, he was Amazing no matter what age!
He burnt the letter..
I would have been wondering why he did that a bit sooner than Edmund did. The priest probably figured it out quickly
richard harris is a geat asset to actorrs
He brought the sword, nothing more.

What is wealth compared to the education that makes it
Harris outdoes Freeman for gravitas.
Can anybody tell me how good the book is?
All I see is dumbledore lol
Richard Harris forever!
