- Jim Caviezel started gaining prominence as an actor in the 1990s with roles in dramas and action movies like Wyatt Earp, The Rock, and G.I. Jane. He received critical acclaim for his gripping portrayal of private Robert Witt in Terrence Malick’s epic war film The Thin Red Line.
In the 2000s Caviezel continued starring in popular movies like Angel Eyes and The Count of Monte Cristo. But his biggest -- and most controversial -- movie to date was Mel Gibson’s biblical drama The Passion of Christ, in which he played Jesus Christ.
But today Caviezel is nowhere to be seen in Hollywood anymore. Here is why he was dropped by Tinseltown.

Even though other actors before, who played Jesus wasn't, it's because THIS film THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST was the very FIRST movie, that actually showed the brutality of how they did Jesus, and SO many people became believers. The bible would not even exist if the Church that Christ established did not compile the books and the monks copied it so that it would be preserved. Jim Caviezel regrets NOTHING. I remember watching the Passion in theaters. People were stunned, bowing down literally on their knees, some crying, and some wailing. I remember a teenage girl and her brother embracing their mother, and she was crying, "Mom, I want to change" and her mother said, "We will go to Church again." I will never forget the overwhelming peace in that room. Hollywood, money, or fame is nothing compared to the Lord Jesus and the rewards that He has in store for those who love Him and have kept the faith.

On I love Lucy, they didn't even sleep in the same bed and they were actually married in real life!
