It's finally time! The Street Fighter 6 closed beta is here, and Max is checking out everything, including the character creator, Battle Hub features, ranked and casual matches, and the online functionality! And holy crap...Capcom actually thought of everything!!

The fact that two players in the same match can see two different stages blows my frickin' mind. They really went all out.
One can expect an observer getting to pick their own stage aswell, huge for esports.

@@BlazinBro786 there's a certain level of texture to not always getting what you want, especially if there's another person who you can directly blame that on. Put another way, getting your opponent's pick of stage and/or music gives them a bit of recognizable character both before and after you see their main and their playstyle. Further, it helps naturally keep things from getting too samey. I get my favorites half the time, and the other half the time I'm getting something else to keep things fresh and if it sucks well there's the perpetrator right in front of me and I have the explicit goal of knocking their teeth in. Plus I know that I'm inflicting *my* preferences on them whenever we get my picks.
It kinda breaks down if *every* goober is always taking you to the super-boring training stage, and this is good for esports if not every stage is viable to actually play, but overall I can understand the feeling that something has been lost.
Ryus exausted block animation is AMAZING. It is what you see MMA fighters doing when they are on the defensive

Man, those pose changes whenever a character has an empty drive gauge are sick. Love it how Ryu goes from his usual confident blocking to basically taking full cover behind both of his forearms

It also sounds like meta knowledge. Ryu is the stable pillar of the franchise, so Ken is the one that gets to be a little different.

Assuming it also applies to spectators, it could be a game changer from a broadcasting perspective as far as tournaments go. Let's them show off their stages and keeps things visually interesting for the viewers without compromising the competitors
"Good shit! Do it do it do it! Level 3!!" - Max actively encouraging his opponent to do cool shit, even if it means he loses, is really respectable. Max is one of the best in the community, able to take a loss on the chin and still have a great time
definitely true, i was playing some noobs today and everytime they opened me up i hoped they didn’t do something crazy… max definitely has a heart of gold

"Now do it to me! Come on. Aww." I love that. Shows a thing several thing that completely counters his opponent gamestyle and then wants his opponent to pick up on that and do it back is just amazing to watch. Makes me love Max even more.

Something I noticed that I LOVE is that the song actually changes each match, so you won't have to listen to the exact same song in a set! Perfect for longer sessions/sets
Not enough talk about the music in general. I feel like I keep hearing new tracks and they're all bangers. Aggressive, atmospheric, contemporary- they're all setting the mood perfectly. Best SF soundtrack since 3rd Strike.

I like how fluid the animations are as they do combos. It reminds me Bloody Roar and how that played like a hybrid of Tekken and Street Fighter

Capcom is seriously getting their stuff together since 2019 and making sure they aren’t losing momentum and I’m absolutely on board with it
That character recipe list is possibly the greatest idea I have seen. I don't think ANY GAME with a character creator has this kind of feature unless you were to dig into game files. Now I wish this existed in every game with character creator.

This feature was actually in monster hunter rise and I'm glad other Capcom games are taking it. It's such a good idea
@@denshoni Well Ryozo Tsujimoto, the current head of the fighting game division, was the executive producer of every MH game since Freedom 2 so it makes sense.

I am not a fighting game player, as much as I like Max's content, however I am really happy with just how full featured this game is looking so far. In an industry full of cut corners, is always good to see a development team going above and beyond, and seems the team behind this is truly going for it,
@Jay Laliberte Capcom is guilty of cutting the same corners as a lot of other companies in the past, and you can't just act like they never did. I mean, this is the same company that sold on-disc DLC back when Street Fighter x Tekken came out. They've been on a redemption arc for awhile now though.

@Jay Laliberte Capcom is of no exception... SF V was no different and they did the exact same thing with REmake 3 massive corners were severely cut and so much more in the past.
I think this is gonna be my first proper fighter I put time into since I played tekken as a little lad, looks so fun, can't wait to get bodied

My first street fighter
I would love it so much if you hopped on Street Fighter. Street Fighter V is honestly pretty fun right now as well if you want to mess around and get a head start, but I can understand waiting for Street Fighter 6 as the new player experience is far superior.

The way ryu blocks with all his body when in a Burnout state compared to his normal ones is really an amazing attention to detail. the game already looking great
I love how Chun in Burnout shifts from her new idle stance to her hunched-over SF2 idle stance. Everyone gets such great details!
Being there live with Max and the Chat at 2:00 AM Laughing and Surprising me with all the new stuff and the disturbing characters the people created was one in a lifetime moment. Thanks for the stream Max and thanks Capcom for this awesome Game

I prefer Ryu in general, but man the way Ken whips some of his kicks is just great. And that ankle breaker kick, good stuff.
omg, the impact the kicks and punches have, it feels so strong. Ken is looking sick! I usually get bored of watching other people play, but this game is just too beautiful. I enjoyed all the matches you showed us.
They really took advantage of the Rollback Netcode. The fact two players can simultaneously play on different stages is crazy

@@Alzter0 Keeping track of two player inputs while simultaniously keeping them in different yet in-sync stages isn't a result of rollback?
@@MatthewCobalt It technically doesn't even need rollback, you could do this with delay-based as well, in theory. It just requires online game-state to be independent of client-side graphics, which should always be the case lol.
For 2D fighters like this, the stage differences are completely cosmetic and there's no real reason to keep them "in-sync". Heck, they should always have been able to do this, but for some fucking reason some games will desync because of stage stuff, which makes no goddamn sense

One of my favorite little details is the way that the people in the background visibly react when a character hit the ground hard. It give the stage more life.
All of this looks amazing. I don't even play fighting games, haven't since mid 90s cuz I suck at them. And yet, I'm highly compelled to actually get this game. Go from "watch only" to "mainly watch, but also play".
The most fun I’ve seen Max having in a SF game I love it! Couldn’t get the beta but will definitely get the game when it drops

I have been having an absolute BLAST with Ryu in the closed beta. I can NOT wait until this game comes out, I'm literally buying the BEST version there is. I can't get enough of the gameplay, it's so refreshing. Every battle is so much fun. Had no idea what I was doing against this Luke, was 0-6, but every battle it taught me something more and more about the Drive system as well as the Luke showing me how it was, and somehow brought it back to win the set 10-9. God I love this game. 😭

Ryu Feels weak to me. Not sure what to do with his new special. And not a lot of juggle possibilities. While ken seems to get a combo out of everything

That battle hub is what I always wanted a fighting game to have.
Virtua Fighter 6 should have their "quest mode" modeled after this.

25:20- Max is a simple man. There are two things in the world you can do that will give him the biggest smile: Announce your game will have Rollback Netcode and give the option to make sure the Training Stage is dead and buried (at least on his side).
I really love the thumbnail. It's like Maximilian and ken are saying "look at us. Look at us!? Who would have thought? Not me!!"
The faces Max makes when he does combos makes me happy I'm not the only one.

Honestly the more content I see of SFVI is just the more excited it makes me, looks really promising.
Seeing that one dude in the lobby that Max thought was slenderman during the stream already hints at what amazing shit is about to come. Just imagine all the memey dank looking character creation models people are gonna cook up once the game is fully out

I haven't been passionate about SF since SF4. I'm really excited for SF6 and I cannot wait to explore it and rediscover my love of SF.
So there will be a lot of videos for this game, eventually, which is nice. But I know which two I'm looking forward to the most. Rate The Super, always fun. But the real prize, one I which I know we'll be waiting a long while but will be all the sweeter for it...

I've been saying for YEARS that it would be great for fighting games to allow players to see their own preferred stage. Most fighting games theoretically could just Do That, the stages don't actually change anything except maybe some performance differences (which shouldn't be a thing anyway), I'm so glad someone is actually doing that. AND IT'S STREET FIGHTER!? What a world we live in.
@The tricky tick Unless the stages were identically bound, like one of Tekken's several endless fields or a perfect square with specific walls. Theoretically there could be skins for ever stage for every orientation.
But that's getting into weeds that is missing the point.
Where does it show him getting to have his preferred stage over P1? All I'm seeing is him changing the random selectable stages.

Seeing max's face after those first few fights and how excited this man was to just play it and just how he wanted to do and see cool shit genuinely makes me so hyped for the release

I'm surprised they don't have a custom UI option. Like being able to have health bar designs from previous SFs
They'll probably pull a Tekken and let you buy different UI skins for fighter coins.

I can't fathom how much potential this game not only because it is SF5's sequel, but within fighting games itself. It just really needs a good online
I love the weight and impact of the characters. A lot of attacks that land feel impactful but don't send the opponent flying across the screen and that's such an awesome element.
Can't wait for the release. They can take there time to crush the bugs. the game is already feature rich.
