Yes stick to the A roads to get past the midlands, especially now you can travel faster than we used to be able to do back in the 70s . All we could do was 40 mph even on dual carriageways, oh the good old days. LOL.

Brilliant idea with the open trailer door. Making it obvious to thieves that there is nothing to take.
Open doors also deter them and it makes them insecure about the crime they may want to commit.
An open door means somebody is around. A shut and locked door means nobody is present.

Great video Darren but if I can correct you on a small point what you described as mopeds were in fact scooters. The orange one was a Lambretta GP150 or GP200 (cc). I know because back in the day (1970) I passed my test on a GP150 before moving on to a Triumph Bonneville 750. On road safety I couldn't agree more, I just wish everyone would "drive to arrive".

No. Moped by definition are 50cc and when built had pedal’s.. ie Yamaha fs1e and Suzuki AP50 etc.. Scooters can be 50cc, but have to be 125 or above to be on motorways..
@@thomasmacias5032 I'm sorry but I'm not sure I know what that means. I don't see how 'don't trip' fits into that sentence. Obviously scooters and mopeds as not the same thing. Surely that is obvious even to you.

I think they are called industrial estates not industry estates..! Top man though. Great vids.. when you get chance, just in case I’ve missed it, can you explain the driving time directive…? Is your tuck restricted / governed? As I thought you could do 60….? Those “mopeds” must have been scooters, as mopeds being 50cc aren’t permitted on M ways…

We moved to North Wales a year ago the 20mph speed limit took awhile to get used but we don't really notice were going that slow now, how do you find travelling at that low a speed ? also Happy Birthday :)
Thank you 😀 tbf when driving 20mph in the truck doesn’t feel too slow, because you’re higher up it feels faster than what it actually is more often and not.
Mate, how do you keep up with your sleep on days that you have to be at work at 4 am. or earlier? I'm struggling here 😪 😅
You get used to it after a while, luckily I can run on 5-6 hours sleep when needed

Average between 1-2 nights a week, but also can go a few weeks without, just depends on how busy we are etc
