- Diana started off barely knowing how to use a computer but now after trying over 70 different operating systems she has become quite competent within a huge variety of desktop environments.
Ben on the other hand is even worse than Diana was when she first started. Each task is a struggle for him as he attempts to acomplish the basics of Windows 98 SE. Sit back and prepare to smile as Diana the OS Pro teaches Ben a thing or two about operating systems.

Tasks Given:

The mother in this video uses Windows 8.0 (2012) as her main os however she has installed the classic shell due to her Metro Hate. Would you like to see her try out Linux, Mac, Windows or other operating systems through history such as FenOS (2014)? Then give your suggestions in the comments section. Give this video lots of likes, views, favorites and comments if you want my mum to try out other operating systems. I am open to any operating system suggestions you give especially if these videos go semi-viral (over 100,000 views). This channel is dedicated to me "introducing" people (mum, dad, me) to different operating systems they have never used before and leaving them to suffer in confusion struggling to do anything in an unknown computer environment... or see if these other operating systems are better than Microsoft Windows.
The father in this video uses Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks on an early 2009 macbook white 13 inch. He only uses his computer to read emails and watch youtube videos. He doesn't know the first thing about operating systems. - Розваги

An excellent point is made in this video. By having new users try to find the way to do basic tasks, you find out where they naturally look to do the required task. The makers of computing devices and operating systems could learn a lot by watching these videos. And I get a kick out of your parents.

Oh I used to have Windows 98 on a dell latitude laptop, but one day I decided to install Windows xp on it. Windows xp didn't have a activation code so after 30 days it doesn't work. I took the laptop apart, took the hard drive out and the ram. at least I can re-enjoy Windows 98 with this video! For your first video Ben, good job!

He's exactly like my dad! BTW : You can right-click in desktop (or explorer window) click new>new text document. Give it a name, open, edit, and save it.

I wanted to try out several of these OS, mostly Windows 95 & 98 SE because I have a computer that originally ran those OS. I have had a problem with finding Windows 95 & 98 SE to download on the internet. Would you mind giving the links to where you got your copies of Windows 95 & 98 SE?

You can run Windows 95 in VMWare.
Or Virtual PC 2007, if you have Windows Vista or older.
Nah I meant like physically installing the operating system onto my hard drive, and having the option of selecting it from Grub's boot menu?

You can't do it with modern computers 2001-2014 because there are not any drivers for windows 98
Quarker You've got to install Windows 95 first. Don't make its C: partition too large so you can load some other OSes. Then install Windows NT, Linux, or whatever you want. GRUB should be able to work fine with it, at least it did in my setup of Windows 98, Windows XP, and Ubuntu.
If your computer is newer than about 2003, you'll likely not have drivers for stuff. I've found just running it in Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 using the guest additions from Virtual PC 2004 to be the best solution on modern computers.

I have a copy of Windows 98SE on my bedroom. I've been wondering since yesterday if I were going to install it on a VM or not. You just helped me to choose :P
I definitely suggest that you use VMware Player, not VirtualBox. VMware Tools works on Windows 98, but VirtualBox Guest Additions does not.
ZipplyZane I already installed Windows on Virtualbox. I don't have Guest Additions, but at least I found a VESA driver.
