what universe have you dropped in from??? or are you new to all this?? GOW and PSP is notorious for being supertuned to the metal for PSP.... AND struggles for most devices including Android devices!!? for a handheld that was going for $40 initially this is punching above its weight!! for context i bought the M17 over this for the same at the same time this was out.... i just fancied the ergonomics and the tweaking and the rom collection... also for context the X55 was also its closest competitor at being simiarly sized and slightly more powerful which is another reason i skipped the trimui.... now both are on my want list when it was only the X55 previously..... X55 is double the price at around $80 - $100 you can only run GOW PSP with double resolution on Android phones that cost 3 - 4x $40!!!!? and this is why Retroid 3 - 4 at $150 - $200 fits and make sense! those Retroids are android phones without the phone part
Cool - Make sure to back-up the SD card it comes with as they don't last long until they corrupt (depending who you get it from) as mine came tweaked & all set up on a Lexar SD card and it still required me to do my own set-up as it went corrupt after a few days. I don't think it's the SD card itself - I think it's something with the image they're flashing onto the SD for mass selling.
I've been on the fence for ages about picking up an emulation device - after finding out about CrossMix OS and the support & development of the TrimUI smart Pro (watching a few vids about it) I decided this device was definitely going to be my first Retro handheld - had it around 2 weeks & I love it - I didn't want to spend too much money as I didn't know if I'd play it much and it just be more E-waste that sits on a shelf gathering dust, but yeah I play it quite a bit 😁 I did have the usual cheap SD card issue where it corrupts after a few times playing (I think the sellers CrossMix OS install image has been copied way too many times and goes defective quickly), so to remedy that I did my own CrossMix install on a new Sandisk card, copied what I needed from the old card (Backed up to PC - ❗definitely recommended when you get it ❗) and it's been rock solid since 👍 I would imagine that the developers have created a second wind for this device with the updates as I think more people are buying it now then before.
This handheld is truly fantastic, I just hope that in a 2.0 version they add HDMI output, 5ghz wifi so streaming works better with Moonlight, and just a little more powerful hardware to run all PSP library - I would happily pay double the current price with these improvements
This is one of the problems, it uses 2.4GHz wifi only and the other is that it doesn't have L3 and R3, but it works well for 720p, it definitely possible to play some games on it

I like the shape, screen, and size of this device but I want something with hardware capable of GameCube, PS2, and 3DS without any problems. What products are out there that I might like? I was considering the Retroid Pocket 4+, but I might want something higher quality than that
The best I’ve seen which is what I really want is the Odin 2 mini but it’s too expensive. I decided on the Trimui to hold me off and maybe down the line the Odin 2 mini will come down in price and I’ll get that.
im still looking for the perfect emulator for me. Its the first time I saw a handheld emulator doing a split screen with a DS game. other than the TRIMUI are there any other emulators that can do this?
yeah I've streamed warzone through my steam deck to my trimui smart pro using moonlight on my TSP and sunshine on my steam deck in windows but yeah it works perfectly
@@DaveyG I mean that mic sound when you filming yourself is way different from the sound when you filming handhelds. I use different branded headphones for watching and listening YT.
@suhtangwong I've only ever owned one. So take my opinion with a grain of salt. I just didn't like how long it took to get all the emulators running. I also had a hard time getting some of the games to work well and it was frustrating not knowing what was wrong. That was a couple years ago, though, so maybe things have improved and it's time to give android another try
Finally pulled the trigger on this as IMO $47 shipped is the best bang for your buck retro/gaming handheld

I bought it and did not expect to run psp games. BUT I PLAY INITIAL D STREET STAGE VERY SMOOTH! I was not expecting that.
How mine plays super laggy, also wanted to play midnight club la remix but too much lag and frameskip
Given that the PSP is 20 years old this year, it's tragic that it struggles with GoW and can't upscale.
