Heck, even former allen wasn't average, he was the strongest ever.....Now he's on par with any (A Tier) Viltrumite like Nolan......Still below the only S Tier viltrumite (the current leader)
OK right off the bat. I have to tell you guys how much I was laughing watching the opening scene again at the comicon and watching you three crying because that’s exactly what I was doing when I saw the episode for the first time it is a classic this is truly I consider this now a classic scene, in animation at this point it’s absolutely beautiful
@20:05 Agustin is mistaken, the Octoboss fight is 3 pages in issues 25 that is exactly what happens in the show and later in issue 42 there is one more page with him fighting Mark alone which I think was the "one page" Agustin was looking at.
Okay. Stop. Your post episode analysis of what is going on in the show, in the series, and in these episodes is SPOT ON!!! This has been such an AMAZING show. And it makes the comics better.
I laughed so hard watching the animation meta joke by myself, i lost it even more now! My head and stomach hurt so much!!! Thanks Agustín 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I'm crying 😂😂😂😂😂
Yea, in the comic, it was Mark and Debbie having dinner on their personal day off when Anissa showed up. Although this just felt like a moment to introduce Anissa (don’t remember if Debbie had any specific moments). In this episode however, they used Anissa introduction to add on to Mark and Amber relationship and foreshadow what is going to happen.
Really interested on how much Anissa is going to be changed for the show. I already find her immensely more likeable, from the little we've seen so far.
2:32 I was was dying laughing at the scene of the comic writers explaining how hard animation is and the ways they cut corners!🤣🤣🤣 And the fact it’s similar to what happened in the comics.
Shantel VanSanten killed it as Anissa. Completely unrecognizable, cold amd brutal. Also, the animators/creators knew exactly what they were doing with the crater part. Legit gave me war flashbacks.
As someone who read the comics, all 144 issues, I love how the show changes several things...for the better. For example, in the comic, Mark was in a restaurant having dinner with Debbie when Anissa came and threatened her, not Amber. Also, in the comic, Mark and Amber's break up was lackluster and bland, and sort of made no sense. But in the show, that break up was epic, logical and very necessary.
1 hour and 57 minute still the finale. I literally wished I lived on the west coast just so I could watch it at midnight. Unfortunately I’m in cold Chicago and gotta wait till 2am, I just hope they don’t destroy my city again in the finale 😂
I couldn't wait to see y'all's reactions during that date sequence...lol, it's been amazing to me watching comic readers. I saw one duo where one read them and one didn't, and he was legit screaming "Oh no, oh no, oh no!" Hahahaha, this has been so much fun. I really hope we only have a year to wait for next season after the finale, those 2 year gaps are roooough.
You mean Adam (read the comic) and Jay (didn't) of pReview'd? And how Adam lost all color and was trembling with bated breath on that scene? That was a good reaction.
I mean since y’all read them and talk about it, I mean Augustine’s reading it instead of watching the show… so, besides the forearm implants making him like Gambit, he was treated genetically, sorta like being given a super soldier syrum, which has made him way faster and stronger than a regular human, and heals better than a regular one also… he’s like winter soldier or captain America basically, or maybe Eve’s a better example who was made into who she is, it’s been a while and i don’t remember all the exact details, but Rex for sure was made to be faster and stronger than a normal person on top of the forearm implants, which is why he grows up working for the government and Cecil…
I'm glad the Anissa story isn't like in the comics. At the time it was released I'm sure it was a big innovative flip on the real world perception. I read the comic for the first time just after episode 3 of s1 came out and the whole thing was very uncomfortable/ felt forced or out of left field even then.
Can’t believe we’re going on a break again after tomorrow 😂. This show is too good, I went back through the comics for some fav moments and forgot just how much there is. It’s so dense, it feels like we’re going quick but if they adapt the whole book it feels like we could get 8-10 seasons. That’s not even including the spin offs like they did with Eve.
I love this show, It's fucking amazing. I just wonder how something like Frieren gets made and is movie level for 25 episodes and is peak and then this can only manage 8 episodes. Don;t get me wrong both shows have down time and I think both are about on par with each other for that. I really hope it isn't just that the japanese animation industry just abuses their animators. Sousou no frieren or Frieren: beyond journeys end is a very good show, I recommend everyone watch it. First anime I've watched in like 6 years, very worth it. I also really like magic and immortality so, very emotional show I put it up there with Mob Psycho 100.
I'm sorry to say, you're right on the money. Madhouse(Frieren's studio) is notorious for its working conditions. That said, Invincible also has a bit more than twice the length of anime episodes, so it's more around 20-ish episodes in anime count- which is why it takes a wild amount of downtime between and during season breaks.
I’ve seen so many horrified reactions to Anissa. And after learning of her comic counterpart, those reactions are warranted. There’s something that’s been bugging me. Both Anissa and Kregg say Earth has “poisoned” Nolan and Mark. If they believe Earth turns Viltrumites “soft,” why are they still interested in conquering the planet? (Im fine with them still wanting to conquer, but I’m just curious)
They probably see it as "we've been able to conquer so many other planets and we can't let these puny weak humans scare/avert us away from Earth" a pride thing maybe
Lois sees herself as an equal, and would be risking her life for a story even if Superman wasn't in the picture. She has the agency Amber (an 18 year old first year college student) feels she's missing. That makes a big difference. That said, the "Injustice" Earth shows what might happen if the prime DC universe was more like the Invincible setting...
I don't think I've seen Agustin laugh so hard 😂😂
One of those laughs that makes you start cackling just because he’s laughing 😂
It’s just such a good moment too!!
That joke from the comic was adapted brilliantly!
Allen: _You're not dealing with the average Unopan warrior anymore, viltrumites_
Heck, even former allen wasn't average, he was the strongest ever.....Now he's on par with any (A Tier) Viltrumite like Nolan......Still below the only S Tier viltrumite (the current leader)
And maybe Conquest!@@kninezbanks
I love a good meta joke, and the scene of 'Philip Shaff' explaining how animation corners are cut is one of the best I've seen in ages.
@@joegreene7619 yup. Didnt expect they would change 'meta-comic' joke to 'meta-animation' joke but I guess it made sense xD
A brilliant adaptation!

It was a really good adapted joke!

Sasha Calle who played super girl in the flash movie would nail it as anissa just switch the super girl outfit with the viltrumite costume
no live action show would “nail”
this show
@@brwnkd3795 notice how he said a specific actor would nail a specific character not that a live action would nail the show?
So true!
@@YaBoySihle That changes nothing about what I said kid.
@@brwnkd3795 and what you said also changes nothing the commenter said.
Shout out to Zazie Beetz and how she done that heartbreaking scene with Mark. She was nasely how people are when they have been crying. 👌👌👌👌👌
no one?
She is a cool VA.
Anissa's flex was awesome 👌
I’m really digging the voice choice for Anissa. I imagined her sounding way older while reading the comic.
“Going to phase…”
Okay. Stop. Your post episode analysis of what is going on in the show, in the series, and in these episodes is SPOT ON!!! This has been such an AMAZING show. And it makes the comics better.
Okay based on how everyone who read the comics reacts to Anissa makes it seem like shes going to be BIIIIG Trouble. Looking forward to it :D
Big drama and Conquest is coming!
You have no comprehension of how much trouble she is
I laughed so hard watching the animation meta joke by myself, i lost it even more now! My head and stomach hurt so much!!! Thanks Agustín 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I'm crying 😂😂😂😂😂

The absolute IRONY and VERY dark humor that the voice for Anissa is the actress who plays Becca Butcher in The Boys….iykyk
well when you put it like that...
casting cooked 🫥
You guys definitely had the best reaction to the comic-con scene! 😂
Nice to see you here!
Hector's giggles from 2:49 to 3:25 brought me so much joy
Really interested on how much Anissa is going to be changed for the show. I already find her immensely more likeable, from the little we've seen so far.
Well her design is way better that the initial one from the comics.

You are easily the best REACTORS for Invincible!!!!

I can't WAIT for tomorrow!!!
Gonna stay up till 2:00AM just for the finale
The finale was cool!
i love Agustin reaction to that put a smile right on my Face LMFAO
"maybe amber can talk to debbie.." lol guys are goin through it just like all of us irl and in the tv show HAHA i love humanity... we suck so good

man, this episode was AMAZING
Anissa is excellent antagonist, I hope the show utilizes her.
watching people react who have read the Comics is brilliant when she shows up

I’m so GLAD I got to the part with Alan and getting captured. Can’t wait for how they’re gonna animate this whole series 🥹
Had my notifications on for this one. So excited for tn/morning

Rex is a government super soldier, so he recovers faster from shit that would kill normal humans.
Even as a comic reader, I'm gonna say it: I CAN FIX HER.
Oh honey, she’s gonna “fix” you first 😂
I do not think you can.
I mean she can fix me 😼
THANKS for this!!!!! Every UA-camr I've watched has loved the ComicCon meta scene.
Never thought Agustin could laugh harder than he did in that Antman trailer a decade ago…this might’ve beat it 😂

Sorry but after Amber S1, I know she was better in S2 but I'm not sad this relationship is over.
This episode perfectly shows why I have never been behind the romance of Superman and Lois Lane. For exactly the same reasons as Mark and Amber.
Lois sees herself as an equal, and would be risking her life for a story even if Superman wasn't in the picture. She has the agency Amber (an 18 year old first year college student) feels she's missing. That makes a big difference.
