So we have: V4 matte gradient Ranger style in Earth, Forest, and Ocean V5 enamel Ranger style in Green Gilt, Navy, and Black Gilt V6 matte Pelagos style in Arctic, Desert, and Sage I love me some sage. I just wish San Martin would offer newer Miyota 9000 series movements and use that to slim down their cases; that would elevate their lineup to that next level, I think.
San Martin does grest case finishing. I bought their "Adventurer" watch in the last sale and fhe brushing is like silk. The chamfers catch fhe light nicely and the bracelet has great drape. And i really like their apllied indices and numbers - the look great, hold lots of lume, and sparkle. If this on sale closer to $200 its a steal!
I think Baltany is stealing some of SM clients lol, my money still on that last baltany... Kinda liked that mint green, I'm going to check it out. Nice review as ALWAYS !!!
thanks! Baltany makes some great watches indeed...the aliexpress market is getting crowded with high quality brands and that's nothing but good news for us.
Gorgeous watch but I just can't get over numeral 1 in the 12 o'clock index being the wrong length. It appears to be the same as a marker index rather than a numeral index sized to the 2, 3, 6 and 9.
Go check out my 36mm review of this watch...I think it's just a optical illusion....I took some really close macros and it's pretty much exactly the same size. It does indeed look different from a distance, though...lol
They sure are getting their money’s worth out of this style. Wonder if Tudor will start offering different color versions of the Ranger like they now offer a white dial BB GMT. Great review as always.
This finishing for a watch at this price, it's 👌🤩 I really like the ones with black or green enamel dial and gilted indices/hands. Thanks for the review, Steve.
Great video, as usual. I’m waiting for mine (blue)to arrive and your video gave me a preview so I know what to expect. When the original Ranger first came out there wasn’t much in it to get me excited. To me, this San Martin is the perfect example on how the homage may have better looks than the original one. The dial on this SM is much more exciting!
I liked the painted dial design but not enough to pull the trigger. During the last sale I bought this version in black for a really good price. The high polished edges on the hands and indices always catch the light. Gets a lot of wrist time. Most of my watches are 40-42mm. This works on my 7.5" wrist and is wear all day comfotable on the quality bracelet. This is the Ranger Tudor should have made.
So nice. I just really wish they included half links. I can never get the right fit even with micro adjustment, unless the bracelet has a glide lock type clasp.
I normally don’t like Arabic numbers on my watch, with certain exceptions, however this watch looks amazing to me. It is better than the other options you showed. Good choice of color as well.
Hi Steve, I'm a fan of your works, just wondering if you sell some of your watches that you have reviewed in the past like this sn0107g? Just interested of this model for a cheaper price. Please let me know if you have a website where i can browse. Thank you and more power
Hmm, tough call. I'm actually deciding which one to keep but I can't figure it out...lol. if I find a jubilee that fits the Baltany I'll probably keep that one. Still as of now, I'm learning towards the Baltany, but the SM is a nicer built watch IMO. I just like baltany's brown dial more
I'll contact them And ask....but those RM-like homages are some of the worst performing watches I review....and I don't particularly like the style, so I'm not really willing to spend the channel money on them.
@@EscapeWheel I'm referring to the snowflake hands dial, id like to see it in enamel colors because I liked their bb36 enamel green so much but not the dimensions and the polished sides. I have the ranger version already and everything about it is great!
It's still pretty compact but the 36 would be a better fit for sure. I'd say it wears true to size, so if you have other 38mm watches it'll wear similar.
@@AleCardenasRealtor gotcha..I e reviewed that one and felt they were similar in size...maybe looking slightly larger but the footprint is pretty similar.
Was given one, great watch, only thing wrong, the band is way too short, hobbit size again, and you can not but extra links from San Martin. Only, maybe if you buy a watch , well It was a gift.. HOW HARD CAN IT BE?? Sell spare parts! Customer service? Hallo? Have to go order a NATO... :(
please help me someone ! The san martin brown explorer the Baltany brown explorer The cronos white or Tiffany explorer I like them all but one must rise above the others ?
An impossible decision. Quality wise as a total package I'd say San Martin>Cronos>Baltany. But it's close across the board. Biggest difference is the bracelets.
Welcome to the world of HOMAGES. But this is nice because it's not exactly like the Tudor. Different case finishing, smaller size, applied indices, BGW9 lume, and different dial colors. It takes the Tudor and improves upon it (IMO)
I will never like San Martin because of 2 things and lately even 3rd one, first two: 1. Looks like homage of other well known brands; 2. Logo is meh; and 3rd one is price, it is way up that you can add a little bit of money and buy microbrand watch with it's own design, soul.
that's fair. I for one don't mind the homages....especially ones like this which take a design, shrink it down, add a little detail, and make some cool colors. as for the microbrands....that's a tough one for me. you say "add a little money" well, in my experience....which is pretty limited, those $300-500 microbrands still aren't as nice as a San martin is. my wolbrook is the only one that I would say can match or exceed nice san martin. but Phoibos, aquatico, bencler, sovergyn, they just aren't as nice.
Snag $30 off the price for the next 3 days! - a.aliexpress.com/_omRqvZ5?spm=5261.26790180.Table.3.57355aacDitqmF
Picked up one of these for myself and cant wait for it to arrive. 🔥 Genuinely looks like the ideal daily field watch with that brown dial.
You won't be disappointed. Enjoy the new watch!
So we have:

I agree. They know how to make a case nearly as slim as possible, so some 10mm thick field watches with 9015's would be amazing.
Oh wow, that snowflake version looks cool.
Beautiful shots Steve. Hope all is well w/ you
Thanksan! All good here. Hope all is well with you, too!
It’s a real nice looking watch. I’m pleasantly surprised with San Martin’s quality. I might just have to get one. Good review! 😊
Thanks, Ned. SM continually impressed me with the watches they put out 👍
The macro shots!! This watch is awesome well made.
Glad you like em'! Thanks for watching!
The SN0107 is amazing. I'm wearing my v3 with applied markers now and it's my cheapest watch, and my current favorite.
I think Baltany is stealing some of SM clients lol, my money still on that last baltany... Kinda liked that mint green, I'm going to check it out. Nice review as ALWAYS !!!

I agree with you. That’s how it looks on every AliExpress stock photo too.
They sure are getting their money’s worth out of this style. Wonder if Tudor will start offering different color versions of the Ranger like they now offer a white dial BB GMT. Great review as always.
Haha, definitely. I don't blame them though, it's a very solid case and bracelet combo
This finishing for a watch at this price, it's 👌🤩

100% agree. a more manageable size, some fun colors, applied indices, and more intricate finishing. a great Homage IMO. Enjoy it!!
great review san martin are putting a lot of great stuff lately
indeed they are.

totally agree. the applied indices really bring the watch up a notch.
What a beautiful watch, and nice Microshots. The applied indices is what Tudor should have done with their re-release.
Thanks, and I totally agree!
So nice. I just really wish they included half links. I can never get the right fit even with micro adjustment, unless the bracelet has a glide lock type clasp.
yeah, half link would be really nice. but now that they have their on the fly clasp, it's probably not necessary
I normally don’t like Arabic numbers on my watch, with certain exceptions, however this watch looks amazing to me. It is better than the other options you showed. Good choice of color as well.
Great review! I like that color.
thank you! and thanks for watching
Я купил версию на юбилейном браслете с механизмом РТ5000, и они пришли мне с пылью на стрелках и поцарапанной задней крышкой))
Hi Steve , great review as always . Do you have a link for the fitted rubber strap ? Looks great
If they could do them in the 36mm version ot would be great
I wouldn't be surprised to see some new dials coming for the 36mm. it also sold really well.

PERFEITO 👍👍 🇧🇷
This case, with a black simple dial like a Sinn 556i, and these hands would be awesome
Hi Steve, thank you for you reviews. Would you pick this over last week's Baltany?
Hmm, tough call. I'm actually deciding which one to keep but I can't figure it out...lol. if I find a jubilee that fits the Baltany I'll probably keep that one. Still as of now, I'm learning towards the Baltany, but the SM is a nicer built watch IMO. I just like baltany's brown dial more

Nice watch
Very nice
thanks for watching!
The gilt one looks class, but all the colours make a statement for themselves.
that black and Gilt would be high up my list If i was in the market for something like that.
i'd love if they did that for the SN020 and 021
I wear my SN020 ver 1 daily, just love it but would love to see that color range!
yeah, some new colors would be great. enamel black and Gilt please!
Thinking about the black gilt version. Are the indices a shade small for the dial, or is it my eyes?
I feel like I see it too. They look just a tad too small. Especially with the logo being the same size as the 12.
@@jwags24 I feel a 36mm would be a better case size
it never really distracted me or took away from the design...but I feel like the 36mm one was more proportional.
Id love to possibly see a review for any of the TSAR BOMBA watches
I'll contact them And ask....but those RM-like homages are some of the worst performing watches I review....and I don't particularly like the style, so I'm not really willing to spend the channel money on them.
@@EscapeWheel awe if thats the case then that's understandable
I'm thinking of getting the blue one but i have a print dial that l really like so im on the fence
Tough call if you have the printed dial. The applied dresses it up some. But it's a great design....hard to argue with the watch.
do u think SM will release their new dial of this watch in other colors? probably right?
What other colors do you want? I'm not sure we'll be seeing any more than we already have, but who knows?
@@EscapeWheel I'm referring to the snowflake hands dial, id like to see it in enamel colors because I liked their bb36 enamel green so much but not the dimensions and the polished sides. I have the ranger version already and everything about it is great!
Im waiting for a review of the green dial with gold accents, still nobody review it!
I'd love to see one as well. I had the green/gilt BB36 and it was beautiful
Do you think this would fit my 6 inch wrist? Sadly the version with this dial is not available in 36mm
It's still pretty compact but the 36 would be a better fit for sure. I'd say it wears true to size, so if you have other 38mm watches it'll wear similar.
@@EscapeWheel I have a sn004 limited edition but with the bezel and the compact 46mm lug to lug I think it looks smaller and it fits me perfectly

can you review SEESTERN Titanium Diver Watch?
I have reached out to see if they would send me one. I am getting the San Martin x Watchdives steel Pelagos homage this week.
Will they make it with 36mm?😮
probably not. they have a 36mm ranger, but not in these colors, sadly.
