Nice! My rear shocks were so bad that the car was sitting tilted to the right side. After removing and compressing the shocks, they wouldn’t rebound at all, just sat there fully compressed. 😂 Konis all the way!

Just fyi you never torque the head of a bolt. You should have torqued the nut on the top mount. The bottom bolt has a higher torque because they take into account the drag that the bolt shaft is creating. The upper one has a lower torque because you should have torqued the nut which doesn’t have the drag of the bolt shaft.
That's interesting and it makes sense, however I don't think the added drag from the bolt makes that much difference. It would be great to see that tested.
@@markbogle4784 Look, I'm not trying to be funky here but these are not meant to be used to jack up the car. These four points at the corner of each wheel well were designed to carry the shell of the car (no interior or drivetrain) during assembly. They will collapse under the weight of the car once lifted. The manual actually shows you exactly where to jack up the car. Just sayin'

I can't say if they are like a stock ride because mine were worn out when I got the car, but the Koni's looked just like what I had. The ride is fine.

Do you have a link to the lug nuts youre using on this car? Mine has the old anti theft keyed ones on it that are not only ugly but a pain to get off.
I just bought some Sachs. Got original shocks on my 83. At least mine has a rear sway bar.

The bottom bolt is also a larger diameter supporting the shock from only one side, requiring a higher torque.
Bottom line is you always torque the nut not the bolt head. Google it.
Just trying to help you out. Your going to all the trouble to torque the fasteners might as well do it right.

You do realize that you are putting your stands exactly where they shouldn't be. These points cannot support the weight of the car.
