    Came looking for a NoFace tutorial and found a friggin CUTIE. I have no experience woodworking, nor do I have any of these tools, but even so I stuck around for the whole video because you put a big ol smile on my face 😊

      @@whelkpeopleofdoom this is a great way to learn. The tools you can get one by one and some good brands are Stubai, two cherries, Pfeil, and flexcut. Good luck to you.

    Please tell me where you got the wood? Amazing video amazing job you did. How thick was this block?

      Hey I get my wood from a place called Heinecke Wood. They are only in the U.S. but if you are not in the U.S, try checking any specialty wood shops near you. Also the block is 2 inches thick.

      Hai, sorry for the late reply, but you can get the wood he used at most hobby stores that carry bass wood, or you could try your luck at a lumber yard, and for sizing I'd recommend just measuring the height and width of your face if you want to wear it

    Super stoked to stumble across this video, since I've gotten into wood working specifically to craft a wooden No Face mask for a cosplay. Will be rewatching it when I start the actual carving to "follow along."
    That said, what was the dimensions of the starter wood you used?

      @@ze9060 If you're in the U.S. check out heinicke wood. That's where I get most of my wood blocks. If that doesn't work for you, I would check out woodcraft if you have one near you.

    How do you go about drawing the masks features? I have very unsteady hands and can’t draw, that’s the main reason I haven’t tried any sort of woodcarving/ whittling

    What chisel did you use for the rounding? I'm currently using this video as a tutorial and I can't tell which one it is

      I used the 7 - 14mm gouge but anything that is wide and with a relatively flat contour will work just as well. Try several of your gouges and see what feels best for you!

    When you're doing your outro, what attachment are you using to wear the mask?

      We just taped a headband to the inside of the mask but there are far better ways to do it than that. You could permanently attach a strap with glue or wood staples and add some foam to the inside for comfort. There are a lot of videos out there about cosplayers making masks wearable if you want a more detailed how to. Thanks for watching!

      Basswood, it’s a soft wood so it’s super easy to carve and holds its shape well

    Another great way to waste away the material is splitting it off with a hatchet. Or your dads old tomahawk that you were never allowed to touch as a kid. Also you have a very adorable foreman, his little taps really made the whole thing come together
