    Hi Guys!!!
This video introduces the process of making traditional Japanese masks (Noh-Mask).
    ▶General Product Information
These custom-made Noh masks are made to order.
Ko-Men is one of the most famous and popular Noh masks. These masks are the youngest of all Noh masks. They are very different from real women's faces, and one mask represents all the emotions in a Noh play, such as joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure. We have commercialized these masks with the hope of bringing Noh masks, which are used only in Noh plays, to people all over the world. For those who love monsters and ghosts, why don't you display them in your rooms?
    ▶Craftsman Passion
"First of all, you have to keep doing something with conviction, and by doing so, it will surely take shape."
Originally, I had no intention of becoming a Noh mask craftsman, but I just kept on doing "making things". Then I gradually gained recognition from the people around me, and here I am today. I believe that believing in yourself and continuing to do what you do is the best part of life!
Please enjoy watching the Japanese craftsmanship!!!!

My family cared for some masks for a time before the place they were kept safe was stolen.
There was an old man, a young man, and an androgynous.
I still cant look to too many masks because of what was lost.
And so at least there are the words of my father of "well, wherever it is, it's safe."
Thank you for the post, absolutely beautiful and gorgeous.

Japanese Noh masks have depth in their facial expressions.
There are various facial expressions such as a smile, anger, and serenity.
When a person puts on a Noh mask and dances, the facial expression produces a wonderful effect.
In the process of making Noh masks, it seems that life is born from trees.

In my humble opinion the work itself and the fine art behind doing Japanese masks doesn’t require to lure viewers inside with superlative titles: it does the opposite effect and a disservice to the artisan and the production of such fine artworks. Just my two bits worth on the topic. That said Click bait aside the work of this craftsman is really beautiful. Thanks for sharing the process of making it

This old lady had lived in japan teaching english in the 70’s & she sold them to me.

With all due respect, but i have seen lots of videos of Noh mask artisans and it doesn’t take more than a week to make the mask, paint included, paulownia o cypress wood are used and they are very soft, also they use templates, which makes the process way easier.
This is a beautiful vídeo and doesn’t need that type of title to attract viewers.

It cannot be done in a week. Although not shown in this video, there is a drying process in between each step. Therefore, various conditions such as climate and humidity must be met.

When I was a kid, I’d see closeup pictures of these masks, and they scared me silly!

I just looked up what Noh is. This dance drama has been done since the 14th century. Wow! Ya can’t do any better than that.
