My blinds arrived but the cords were loose and all tangled around the end. A full explanation of how the guide cords should run would be incredibly useful.
I followed up all the steps but when I tested it I could only hear the motor go but the blinds don't move, I waited for almost a minute for it to calibrate but nothing happened only heard the engine and I could see the rotator move but I think the cords are not properly assembled in the inside. No video/instructions show where the cords go on the inside, even though they came with that red plastic thing that is supposed to help so that they don't tangle. Now, i have to remove it to see what is going on, mine is on a cathedral ceiling and it is hard to put them
@@roofingtips Yes, that was not the problem. The problem was I didn't slide correctly the side rails , that fixed the issue of not moving at all. Now, I have another issue where the blind will not go all the way, it leaves like a two inch gap when closed.
Could you do video that shows how to do the Solar blind install for a VELUX FCM Curb Mount where there is need of the blind tray ie. show how to build the Blind tray for FCM and install the blind to it and then install the blind tray with the blind onto the curb and the skylight on top.
You may want to be sure the track the blinds roll in are even and level. Any kind of “kink” will make the motor stop and return to its original position.
Hey Mike, be careful sir. We really think that the pitch hoppers are awesome to help when installing Skylights. It’s a game changer and it is a great safety tool

good video thanks :) do you have any pictures or video of the FCM with tray install please?
Helpful thanks
Thank you for the feedback, Justin!
Can you only fit these before the window is fitted or after as well , it looks like it might be awkward after the Velux has been fitted
You can add them to most velux skylights, but it does make it more difficult

The cords are to be clipped in at the bottoms of the side rails under the clips holding the rails.

I will do that! I have a FCM blind job coming up
@@roofingtips Awesome! Thanks a lot!
Fitted mine & battery seems flat? It has never closed more than a couple inches & then opens itself. Only had 3 days.

Fairly easily too follow but I will be putting mine in while 18 feet in the air with my skylight at an angle.

Hello dad❤
Hey sis!
Please help me URGENTLY
What’s going on?
I have these blinds and set them up today and they are not working. It is as if the reset button is not connected.
Did you make sure the switch on the blind is on?
@@roofingtips which switch? The reset one?
@@joelboy6571 on the bottom of the blind, there’s a 3 position switch. It goes OFF- ON - RESET
