How does the video out work? I do not have the av cable with mine. I called Cody at iray and he wasn't aware of an av cable. I purchased new and the dealer did not supply one.
It isn't rated to be mounted on firearms and honestly for the price just get a Pulsar. WAY better for a rifle. Cross hair, ability to record, rated for impact, for a little more you can get a rangefinder built on. Not to mention ability to zoom.
@@Stevenwtx I didn't say that I intended to mount it to a rifle - I was wondering if iron sights could still be used if wearing a thermal eyepiece or if the goggles will hinder me in any way. I have a sneaky idea that it can be done however I have yet to see any of it.
@@John-un3lj Ah well I suppose it could be done but using a Flir Breach in the woods for some time I would personally be slow using it with irons. Up to you but I'd also consider a pvs14, ir laser, and thermal spotter. Some buddies I hang out built out their gear like that instead of sinking all their fun money in one thing.
i doubt you will get a proper focus on the iron sights and this being a thermal you wont be able to see throug any red dot. Shooting with iron sights with a pvs-14 is not reallt comfortable too, but at least you can get a mount and use it with your red dot.
It's possible, but not pretty. The closer the blurrier, so handguns are easier than long guns. I suppose there's more or less suitable sights too. Having the monocular over the non-dominant eye and looking through your red dot with your other eye is not going to work, as your NDeye will turn dominant when the other one only sees black. The offset is far, far out of any acceptable tolerances.
you know the only downside i see about thermal is the lens. you cant put a sacrificial lens on the front because it would interfere with the thermal pickup
@@tinokap just interested in what that would like and you could transition to white light, identify target engage with white light in a cqb setting every one shoots passive point shooting at 5 to 7 yards.
At least we have good tech at reasonable prices in 2021
These are around 3800/4000$ now. I really want one of these
Ill sell you mine for 2800 used
Its listed on offerup for 2000 couse i cant sell it internationally for more then 2k but i want 2800 for it
Its made in China. Should be cheaper than $4.5k.
ML19 is 2500 lower res though. MH25 is clear as hell though
its already cheaper than flirr, do they have competition ? thats the reason why
So is the Iphone
ChiNa company with a US trade company. Meaning that it costs less than 1k to manufacture and the rest is sales profits to keep the market cornered.
pretty sure its not rated for weapons mounting per manufacturer

Have you experienced any radio interference while using the device?
Where can we purchase inside the United States?
is this capable of recording video?
Is it possible to use these with iron sights? I've tried finding footage of this. If possible, could you supply us with some?

How do you aim if it's mounted to your helmet?
Non dominant eye, use your regular eye for aiming and the dot should super impose itself over the thermal in your natural vision
I don't have +2k to throw around. I'm just a HVAC guy.
Do you eat at McDonald's and smoke a pack of cigs a day? If you can't afford this, your priorities aren't straight
Unfortunately nvg/thermal isnt for everyone :(
Ill sell you mine for 2800
Is there a delay with imaging?
No i have one the only thing in delay is when it refreshes then its no delay again
@@donnybrasco8768 may I ask, how often does it refresh and how long does it take?
Wow this thing went from 4000$ to 2500 in a year…
?
first comment , yay ~

you could use "scope killflash" or mesh, or buy germanium lense for less than 100€ online and diy some solution
Do iron sights not work under thermals for passive shooting?
@@lockewiggin9887 can you aim throw iron sight even with your phone camera ? would you like to focus on the sight, or the backround(target) ?

But thats valid what you said makes sense
$2K, wow. I'll stick to my regular night vision for under $500
What NV are you getting for under $500?
$2k? It’s 4k
Man where are you seeing it for 2K? I'll buy it right now.
@Dave Smith He probably saw the ML19 which is 2500. Basically it's just a step up from the Flir Breach.
@Josh Patterson A walking stick and flash light
