John Hawkins the man who had ordered Green cremeated now had some explaining to do. I can't help but laugh and be in love with that line. I love Dennis Farina's narration.
Roderick Thorp, the author of "River," who was interviewed in the Green River segment, died a couple of years after the original U.M. segment aired in the mid-nineties. "River" was a good novel based on the Green River killings. I highly recommend it to people who enjoy a good read.
A while ago, I was searching for this episode because of the final segment on the doctor. I saw it on Forensic Files and remembered I had seen it here but I couldn't find it so I gave up. Today, I wanted to watch the Lenny Dirickson case and what do I know? The doctor segment I was looking for a few months ago was here. Now, it's added to my Unsovled Mysteries playlist (yes I have one).
Lmao I do that sometimes also, I’m currently trying to find the episode where a sister was killed by her mother and uncle I believe….. I think they were found buried it was her and a little kid that was buried on her uncles property I think.. Her mom was arrested.
Anyone ever come across an episode of Americas most wanted featuring an interview with a mother whos son was killed by Nathaniel Bar Jonah? She talks about him feeding her spaghetti with her son in it? if so let me know
If Bob Stevens really believes that his brother was in fact the green river serial killer, what was his alibi when he was investigated? He made a statement that his brother never left them when the first 5 victims were murdered. He has only changed it now because he knows that his brother is now dead, and is beyond the arms of the law.
He should be charged with perjury for each of the 28 victims.
Stevens case- brother believes it is him and others do too and he still tortures women and children and steals to this day along with his cronies
Someone else was proven to be the murderer.. bob just wanted attention
That shake scene I could've sworn was longer when I was a kid
They cut it down for the update/solved part
@@tykelwilliams6053 lol oh wow
Catching up on unsolveds
Good episode
Was up baby girl
1st story that man was sick.
The story about Dr. Boggs is on Forensic Files, Season 6, Episode 7: Mistaken for Dead.
kmalston I knew I saw this story already somewhere
Oh get over it Gary Ridgeway was convicted already! The green River killer is definitely ridgeway!
I Am Me It's also possible they piled on unrelated killings. Law Enforcement enforces the status quo. It's why most people in prison are in prison for nonviolent crimes. Its why there's over 250,000 untested rape kits nationwide.
Sometimes the wrong person is convicted. It is you who needs to get over being a douche and realise this.
Do you believe that law enforcement is actually honest? Because they're not!
They decide right off the bat, who they think is guilty, without any evidence whatsoever! And at that point, they simply refuse to continue to investigate the possibility of another suspect.
In order to get a conviction, police will hide, destroy, withhold, tamper with and/or manufacture false evidence in the process.
Gary Ridgway was setup by the cops. It what they do. Look at De salvo (the Boston strangler). Although there was absolutely no evidence against him, and the real strangler came forward, gave information about the killings that only the cops knew, and was never released to public, they chose to ignore it, in order to get De Salvo convicted.
I'm not saying that all cops are corrupt. But, the corrupt cops far outweigh the honest ones.
@@TheDyingScotsman according to this show, the wrong person is ALWAYS convicted. get your head out of your ass, dick weed! this show can make YOU believe anything because you can't think for yourself. bitch.
@@Nacho-Mamma you are a complete imbecile. all of your "knowledge" is based on fictional tv shows and movies. you have no idea how real life works. also, albert desalvo was ABSOLUTELY the boston strangler. there is no doubt about it.
The man found in Dr. Boggs office was Danny Bonoducci from the Partrich Family.
Why is it odd to eat 2 breakfasts in a day?
I know. Too, the police were wrong about that. He hadn't finished his breakfast at home. He was interrupted when the guy came to the house. Then at the diner, a witness said he was drinking coffee, not eating breakfast. Even with that being said, if I've eaten a really early breakfast, I'll sometimes eat again about 10:00-10:30 or if I've had a really busy morning of hard work, I'll eat two breakfasts. I'm like you, that's not unusual at all.
Hell's yeah I'll eat 3 breakfasts in a day, nothing beats a nice greasy breakfast of eggs, bacon, ham, toast and some fried potatoe squares
Gary Ridgway is the Green River Killer. If you're saying this guy was killing at the same time, fine, but Ridgway's guilty.
Yup doesn't mean he killed all the victims he was convicted of. Cops have been known to thrown on as many cases as possible just to take them off the books. Being connected to a serial killer with a high kill count is good for notoriety as well
15:19 Now, I don't know about you, but sometimes when I sleep, I have these little stories that don't make any sense that my brain tries to tell me.
Maybe it's some kind of psychic abilities
So what, that cop gets so incensed with having to wait so long for his gas tank to fill up he decides he can't take it no more and goes into a field and shoots himself? lol wtf?
not only that but detectives can't even conceive the fact that murderers would obviously make it look like a suicide so you don't go looking for them.
That woman boat captain was some looker
💯
Dude was killed by mafia or dirty cop(s).
Suicide in the middle of filling with gas ⛽️?!?! Lol
If he had to borrow money for yogurt, where did he get the cash to fill up with gas?
I know. I'm a big supporter of the police, but it seems like when they can't figure out all of the details of a death, it's blamed on "suicide". Just like when a doctor can find a solution to someone's illness they blame it on allergies or nerves.
@@danosverige exactly 💯
Poor Gilbert Ortiz. I hope he can find some happiness. And I'm surprised she's out already.
Me too! She should have got 40 years!
P.S. "Poor Gilbert" is right! Somebody else found this "UPDATE" on the continuing drama...

Solved. In August 2005, DNA found on Tina's body was linked to a man named Alfredo R. Prieto, now considered a serial killer for the additional murders of other individuals including Warren Fulton and Rachael Raver. Investigators learned that he had lived in Arlington in the 1980s. They now believe he was responsible for at least nine murders in California and Virginina in the late 1980s.
Prieto was extradited to Virginia from California, where he was on death row for a 1990 murder. He was convicted of the murders of Warren Fulton and Rachael Raver and sentenced to death. On October 1, 2015, Prieto was executed by lethal injection.
Gary Leon Ridgway (born February 18, 1949), also known as the Green River Killer, is an American serial killer. He was initially convicted of 48 separate murders. As part of his plea bargain, another conviction was added, bringing the total number of convictions to 49, making him the most prolific serial killer in United States history according to confirmed murders. He killed myriad teenage girls and women in the state of Washington during the 1980s and 1990s.
Most of Ridgway's victims were alleged to be sex workers and other women in vulnerable circumstances, including underage runaways. The press gave him his nickname after the first five victims were found in the Green River before his identity was known. He strangled his victims, usually by hand but sometimes using ligatures. After strangling them, he would dump their bodies in forested and overgrown areas in King County, often returning to the bodies to have sexual intercourse with them.
On November 30, 2001, as Ridgway was leaving the Kenworth truck factory where he worked in Renton, Washington, he was arrested for the murders of four women whose cases were linked to him through DNA evidence. As part of a plea bargain wherein he agreed to disclose the locations of still-missing women, he was spared the death penalty and received a sentence of life imprisonment without parole....should have been executed not waste state money...
Love that love story of the old lady ghost captain who brought the two together...
Did the producers of this show post stories with "Update!" when they didn't have enough legitimately unsolved stories for a full show? No disrespect, just curious.
They seem to have a good mix of updates and regular stories. I like the updates. There are a bunch of these stories that I'll wonder if they ever got solved.
I think they add it after the show airs then reair episodes with update
So who really died in the room on the last case?
I'm wondering?
Does anyone else find it weird how this version of the show recycles prior episodes, even if they do not have an update? I would be so embarrassed if I were a part of this show.
Elizabeth Ortiz what was the motive? Man that got me emotional.
@26:16...im with you on that.
7:28
Stevens died in 1991, sevens years after the murders ended?
So, the killings stopped in 1984 but Stevens wasn't arrested until 1989?!
I'd believe he found something he shouldn't like dirty cops on payroll over suicide from the way its layed out dirty cops need silence by any means
So who was the dead guy in the doctors office?
He was a young man that followed the doctor back to his office (or was lured, rather) for some sort of tryst. I don’t think they ever mentioned his name though. If you watch the Forensic Files episode, I believe they do mention his name.
3:40

January 1989
The same month Bundy was executed.
1:26
what kind of man kills 48 women Gary??????? rot in jail
Scar Dominica should be executed
maybe it was self defense. bitch.
An EVIL monster 🔥
nice tale about the riverboat romance...the cop was executed by the mob for what he had done to them....then the morons said it was suicide...was it another cop who had been in trouble or a mob hit because of past events...because they cannot think outside the box...now why would Leonard eat two breakfast and who was the other man....how can 911 be too busy to take a call...just shows the doc was a killer....what a bizarre case to kill a stranger claim he was someone else all for 1 million dollars...glad their plan was scuppered..pity they were not executed for it...
Come on in the middle of getting gas walks away and kill's himself I call BS
😠
they shouldve have Bill curtis to host this show not this guy no talent for it like Robert stack
Gash a gost in The steam boat !
