In the first case I think it's clear that Watson killed Oliver. I admit I was a little unclear on what those receipts meant, but Watson pleading guilty doesn't make him innocent to the kidnapping/murders. He's obviously a smart criminal and has a talented lawyer, sounds like he took the guilty car theft charge to distract or subvert the prosecutor.
