    While this video proves the frame and motor upgrade make the AVATA significantly better, the "Motor Overload" warning is worrisome. Can you discuss whether that's a function of the system thinking it's still running OEM motors and warning based on higher kV, if it's getting temp feedback from a hot motor, it if it's registering higher amp draw than expected

      After the last firmware update the tumble is all but gone. It is on mine I don’t think the axis kit has much to do with it. It adds weight and seems to slow it down. This video show it only hitting 44mph in the strait. Mine hits 58 in manual stock going against a slight breeze going with the wind direction I can get 67mph. I went back to stock but kept the motors. Didn’t feel like changing them and they are not much different than the stock ones anyway. A real improvement would be developing a better battery

      @@myfalconry76 It's a bit busy to me on these day. So I didn't notice about the new fw yet.

      @@KarazP I fly mine pretty hard. I have no issues with the yaw tumble. If there is high wind the performance lacks. But that’s the profile of the drone. Even with the axis kit I still got that. What someone needs to focus on is loosing some weight boosting battery out put with a third party battery that’s lighter with more out put power. The smart battery restricts voltage to conserve battery life. You can put boots on a chicken but it’s still a chicken. This video is sped up and gyroflowed to the max.

      @@myfalconry76 That's quite interesting for me. I'm gonna test with my quad maybe today. But this is pretty weird to me because I think it's a problem from hardware or design that failed only. That's why the Axis kit comes in handy because the problem came from that thick prop guard.
      I will test mine soon. Thank you for the details. This is really interesting 🤔

    • @myfalconry76
      @myfalconry76 Рік тому

      @@KarazP one thing to keep in mind is the avata is a cinewhoop. It’s not a 5 inch. Dji has always made good quality cameras drones. It’s the design and capabilities that are the most restricted. DJI designed the dji fpv for the fast chase and long diving shots. It designed the avata to make one shots and get smooth cinematic footage in tight areas and around people. The confusion is people see this as a starter drone, something for the new guy. Which in a way it is. It’s a way to give less experienced pilots the ability to get some of the same affects that pro pilots get. But it was not necessarily designed for the total novice to get into fpv. Which it’s well suited for that. But people that have some experience in flying acro. Get the avata and expect to rip it like a five inch. It’s just not built for that. The ways to make it for that would be a w bigger motor upgrade than the axis motors. A different battery with more power output and a wider wheel base. Even then you can only do so much due to restrictions caused by the flight controller and esc. You would need to upgrade the flight controller and the esc to handle the bigger motors and voltage output. The meager boost you get from the axis motors is almost negligible.

    • @FlightClubProductions
      @FlightClubProductions Рік тому +1

      Red warning according to Google translate is "Motor overload" . I'm hoping best case scenario is the DJI system doesn't recognize it's had a motor upgrade and is warning solely based on the known parameters of the original motors. Worst case is it's diagnosing real time measurements (temperature) from the C157s

      @@axisflying840 the powers to weight racial of your kit. Mathematically don’t work. Based on the mathematical physics alone it says the power and performance increase is 3.0343 % that’s based off the power out put of your motors, the weight of your kit and the battery voltage output. As far as your video being sped up. The drone appears to be traveling a 50-60 mph in the video the would be 80-95kmh. But your mps is barely hitting 20 mps which is 40mph or 64kmh. Which also leads me to believe your kit also robbed the avata of 20mph/32kmh or 8.8mps. You will not get a significant performance gain out of this set up unless you can swap the esc and the power output of the battery. It’s just simply impossible. Yes it may smooth out the existing performance a little but in the process you’ve also lost a significant amount of speed and thrust. 😢 😢 😢
