I’m so glad to see a rifle similar in appearance to mine. Aesthetics matter a lot to me and the only hold up I have on getting this scope was the colour of the scope. My rifle has an Open Country camo finished stock with a black receiver and black barrel and I was debating if having black rings would blend in better to the colour of the barrel and receiver. This gives me confidence it will look good.
Really nice review! Have you by any chance ever had the opportunity to compare a Tract Toric 4.5-30x56 with a Zeiss LRP S3 6-36x56? During the Black Friday sales later in the year I may pick up one, or the other. Given those sales a Tract would come in around $1525 (10% off, no sales tax) and a Zeiss S3 would come in at around $1875 (25% off, before sales tax). Both scopes seem somewhat even-matched to me in terms of specs... but you never see any head-to-heads between the two.
@@MaddMaxxLop def will be! Also you mentioned it competing well against the mk5hd. how does this compare to the mk5hd 5-25x56? i know the mk5 has a little more elevation, this has more magnification and has a illum reticle which i like in lower light conditions
@@ForceRecon112 the glass quality and clarity is as good or better than the mk5. The only downside vs the mk5 is the turrets and lack of reticle options. But the tract reticle is perfect for me. And the turrets are fine, they’re just really tall compared to the mk5. And the customer service is amazing.
I have not tried the MPA brake. APA fat bastard was the best on paper....but the new TMB beats it by 20%. It is WILD. I have not tried the tuner portion yet. I shoot 308 in PRS, so I need a bit more recoil mitigation than the 6mm lasers.
Ive seen you do stuff on this and the RS4 from Maven. Which do you find to be the better scope, not even just better scope for the money. And if you've used a mk5hd, how would either stack up to it?
I’d take this over the maven for sure. This has clearer class, probably the easiest zero stop to set (other than the mk5hd), a superior reticle, better adjustment all around (in terms of ease of use), and locking turrets. The only thing o don’t like is how tall the turrets are. As for the Mark 5 HD, I love it. I’ve had 2. It just depends on what’s more important to you. Mk5 has more reticle options and has my favorite elevation adjustment. And it also depends on what you’re looking for in max magnification. There’s no wrong answer between the Tract and Mark 5

@@MaddMaxxLop you sold me there. with discounts i still get the tract around $150 cheaper than the leupold, so i'm sold
Dude that's a beautiful rifle.
I already commented on another of your videos, but that style of rifle is juuuuust niiiice. 90's style. reminds me the iron brigade armory era.
How do like the Hellfire brake?
I recently sold my Hellfire matches and picked up two of the new "TMB"s from Without Warning.
Top two brakes I’ve used. This and the MDT Comp Brake.

I wish they made the higher power scopes with a "cleaner" recticle.
I need a complete video on that rifle 😍 What is the barrel length and profile?
What rifle is this
Comment for the algorithm gods.
Dope setup for sure, would love a full video on it.
Thanks, fam. #forthealgorithm should be a thing.
I’ll definitely do a video on the rifle soon.

@@MaddMaxxLop Would you say glass is comparable between the Tract and the Mk5? I can get the Mk5 for around 1584 and the Toric for about 150 less.
@@ForceRecon112 I haven’t done a side by side yet, but it’s similar enough
Beautiful rifle you have there
