Smelled it for the first time in maybe 2011 when I was about 15. But I've gone further down the rabbit hole of fragrances since then lol. And my taste and collection has expanded a lot. I blind bought the new edt version two years ago, based on people saying it was a lot more digestible and people pleasing than the OG, and really enjoyed it! I went even further and blind bought Angel edp (Mugler version) after a while. Another succes! Although it wasn't love at first sniff, as with the 2019 edt. But I find myself craving this strange fragrance. It's a masterpiece to me. Every time I wear it I seem to smell a new nuance to it. Strange and addictive. Especially after having covid and anosmia + parosmia. But I also see what you mean regarding b.o. I tried to buy the Thierry Mugler versions from fragrancex, but when they arrived I was very disappointed that it was the Mugler version.. Even though the pictures and discription said Thierry Mugler version.. Couldn't return them either without having to pay very high Norwegian fees. But now I've gotten my hands on some legit Thierry Mugler versions! Just have to wait a week. Very excited. I love Angel!!! Use it every winter or cold days for the past 15 years maybe. Women regularly asks me which parfum I’m using and when I say it’s Angel they get surprised by it. Always saying the same phrase “I hate Angel on my skin! But smells different at yours”. My new boyfriend doesn’t seems to like it though hahaha the others loved it! Now I have a question 🙋🏼♀️ Do you know why, scientifically, some parfums goes lovely for some people body (perhaps blood) and for some others don’t? Love your reviews!
It's such a brilliant scent! I'm afraid I'm no expert about why fragrances can smell so different to each person. There's just so many variables at play from body temperature, season temperature, diet (it affects our sweat smell lol). I'm betting our hormones probably have something to do with it as well. I think that's what makes perfume beautifully "personalized" to you ☺️. Thanks so much for watching 🥰
No. L'Oreal now owns it that's why the boxes just say Mugler on it, and it no longer says theirry mugler. I love the edt. I always get compliments on it. I only have a travel spray of the edp and I much prefer the edt. In a nutshell, the edt smell pretty and the edp smell kinda ugly and like a hint of bo mixed with something sweet...as it dries down, it does get sweeter but you have to get passed that bo smell. I don't think the edp is full bottle worthy for me... however the edt is something I will always repurchase!
