    A nanny started working for this family. The husband was a doctor and was always busy at work, and his wife ran a business and had no time to look after her son, so the nanny was hired to do that.
    Everything was going well until one day the wife told the nanny she had a day off and would pick her son up from daycare on her own. But in the evening, one daycare employee informed the mom that her son’s nanny had already taken him.
    The mom kept calling her, but her number was unavailable. The couple didn’t know her address. They waited for her to bring their child home, but she was absent for a while and they realized that their son had been taken from them.
    The couple panicked and started trying to come up with a way to get their son back and figure out why his new nanny had done that. She seemed so nice and kind… What do you think happened next?

    I guess how Emily felt is understandable. Not justified, but understandable. Doctors are suppose to help people but mony gets in the way of that. In turn, a lot of people find themselves angry in a situation beyond their control.

      They should've had her arrested for what she done and had charges pressed against her.
      While being taken away to be booked, Emily's mother appears and tells her off that it was her own fault that her daughter died because of her past misbehavior. They ask her what she means by this. The mother tells Michael's parents that during the last days of her granddaughter being alive, she had caught Emily sneaking out to the casino and gamble the money they needed to treat the granddaughter. She promised that it's going to be the last time that she's going to the casino and once she wins more money, she'll give it to her mom to pay for the treatment. There was no more next time for their family. Because of Emily's terrible deeds, she was the one who caused her daughter's death and it was the reason her mom kicked her out. The mom points out to her that even after 5 years, she still hasn't taken responsibility for herself. Emily lied to them in order to get more money from them by kidnapping that boy. She tells her mom that she should've never told Michael's parents about this. The mom tells Emily off that they needed to know the truth in how she caused this mess due to her own needs to satisfy her gambling addiction. Had she knows how much Emily was endangering her granddaughter's life by wasting away the money at the casino, she would've put a stop to it a long time ago by kicking Emily out of her home and had her parental rights terminated. She would've taken custody of her granddaughter and getting her treated right away. Only then, Emily realizes too late that she was responsible for her own daughter's death because of her needs to satisfy her gambling addiction and now she's alone.

    I do feel sorry😥 for Emily because she had lost her only daughter from her illness because of MIcheal's father who turn away from Emily's plea for help to save her daughter. I'm amaze that none of Micheal's parents didn't decided to press charge against Emily for kidnapping their son, I guess they were shocked with this revelation that they've finally realise something more important than their career like being there for their son Micheal and try to make an effort to balance their working to spend family time with him👨‍👩‍👦. As for MIcheal's dad he decided to changes his way as he now promise to never turn away from another patient's help for Emily's sake as she finally found peace.

    Did the doctor own the clinic, or did he just work there? The story also didn't say if she tried to get help from Social Services. If the doctor was following company policy, why should he be blamed for the child's death. The mother's grief for her child clouded her judgement. What she needed was grief counseling.

    Both the nanny and the doctor were wrong. The nanny kidnapped the boy out of revenge and the dad/doctor were wrong for putting greed over the nanny's child's life, despite of her mom's pleads. She did lose her daughter and felt like she wanted revenge. She was wrong to kidnap the boy and used him as a lesson to be taught, but this experience made the doctor change his ways and put patients lives over greed. 2 wrongs don't make a right.

    As a mother, I have to disagree with many of the comments on this. While I can sympathize for Emily over the loss of her daughter, she took actions that could have caused severe harm to someone else's child - and she did it out of spite and hateful emotions. It's easy to find fault with the doctor by saying that he should have treated her daughter regardless of her inability to pay - and had she gone through a regular hospital - they would have. A private clinic operates a little bit different than a hospital because a private clinic is more about specific care offered by a specialist. Yes the treatment can be extremely expensive, but as some had pointed out - that's what insurance is for. When my daughter was little, I didn't always have the money to insure myself - but I made damned sure that she always had coverage. With all 50 states offering free health insurance for children - there's no excuse for any parent to not have any insurance for their children. This story just rubs me the wrong way. The doctor did not intentionally cause harm - Emily the nanny did.

    • @slipstreamxr3763
      @slipstreamxr3763 2 роки тому +1

      Plus, regardless of whether the family wanted to press charges or not Emily still would've been arrested for kidnapping and child endangerment. I'm sorry that she was in grief but that doesn't give her the right to put another family through hell just because she lost her daughter. Also, there are specialty children's hospitals that take charity cases like St. Jude's where she could have taken her daughter as it sounded like the illness was both life threatening and an uncommon one. Teaching hospitals can also sometimes offer lower rates then a regular municipal hospital. She had every right to be angry at the situation but not the Doctor, he probably didn't even own the clinic. As other commenters have pointed out he works for a private clinic which are always going to be far more expensive then even one of the better hospitals like Loyola or North Western. So was she right to be angry at her daughters death, yes she was, but she was not in the right when she kidnapped the Doctor's son. The Doctor didn't murder her daughter he just told Emily that he couldn't take their case. What he should've done and would most likely have done in reality was make a referral to one of the charity hospitals I mentioned, but this is a UA-cam story meant to entertain and not reality.

It's also not necessarily the doctors who determine what insurance their offices take, etc. BUT billing department will know all about payment

Not just because of her daughter's passing, but her deep grief as well, just so it wouldn't have gone that far. Yet the doctor had to learn that there's more to his oath then not causing physical harm to a patient. Treating on credit may not have even been something he could have done without losing his position. Why is it his fault you don't have money or insurance to look after your baby. There wasn't a different hospital to try? You don't get to kidnap a child to get even with someone. No. That poor Mother didn't do a damn thing to deserve the anguish you put her through. I think his wife owned the private clinic. Yes it’s not his fault the woman didn’t have money for treatment or that the American Healthcare system is fucked up and yes it was wrong for the nanny to kidnap Michael. However, it is bizarre that his clinic doesn’t offer payment plans which is his fault since he and his wife own it, and it was wrong of him to be so cold to the mother about the money issue, he could have been more compassionate about breaking the news and tried to figure out a way to help her financially. He could have recommended insurances, care credit, or even recommend cheaper hospitals.

    Emily may have been wrong with her actions towards Michael's parents but she felt compelled to remind Michael's father as a doctor that he shouldn't turn away anyone that needs help with saving the life of a family member for any reason whatsoever because that's just morally wrong and totally unjust in more ways than one and he should put the Hippocratic oath above making money down the line and that tragic experience won't be repeated ever.

    He should,ve never turned her away in her time of need.Should,ve got her some help to help her daughter to survive.And Emily should,nt have done what she did.To cause pain and grief in someone else,s life.It is hard to forgive and forget sometimes.But we have to learn life's lessons.To make it a better world.And fix the real problems at hand.

    What? Just because she couldn't afford an expensive treatment? Sure, the doctor didn't do the right thing, but... that's how medicine is. I mean, at this point, I just need to morally press a doctor that won't fix my leg (I'm not leg-hurted, fyi) because I don't have enough money. IT DOESN'T WORK LIKE THIS! Sure, medicine SHOULDN'T be that far of reach for poor people, I agree on that, but... let's see this scenario but with a diffrent work: you can't kidnap the casheer's son just because you couldn't afford your grocery, THAT'S STUPID. I rather rob a bank at this point. It's still illegal, but it's more sensable then the original plan.

      Because as it was mentioned in the story, it was a private clinic. Most private clinics are not set up for long-term treatment and she would have had to go through a hospital anyway, plus she didn't actually have a referral - she was given a card and told to call the doctor and most private clinics will NOT be able to help someone without insurance or a referral.

    This does happen. I was involved in a car accident and Dr.'s would not see me or perform any treatment because of the car accident. I had to get a lawyer so I could be treated. I had a tare in my bicep due to hitting the steering wheel so hard ( the car that hit me hit me twice), I had injuries on both arms ( left the ER with a sling on the right side of my arm, and a left arm with a brace) and neck was injured as well ( nerve damage, some days I have to sleep with a neck brace). I still need treatment but a Dr. I was recommended to, his office said the Dr. does NOT treat patients that were involved in a car accident. It suck that this time in age we still have to deal with a Dr. Not seeing us because of money.

    Don't leave your children alone, instead of a nanny ask your grandparents to babysit them if you still think nannies are still great people. In my opinion, nannies may be good, but there are some who will only want to despise their job. Good nannies good job to you. But if bad nannies aren't doing their job shame on you. And no amount of revenge will not bring your child. Think before acting on these things. Thank you. (If anyone is offended by the last comment, I am truly, deeply sorry for that)>

    I understand the point of this video but the problem with it is at some point this child would have asked questions on why he is somewhere else than with his parents. She would have lied to the child so he would not get suspicious. I realize this is a story with a point but kidnapping is still wrong and she should have been charged regardless.

    I don't know about this ones message, I mean the father was just doing his job and could be in big trouble if caught giving hand outs, I mean it was a unreasonable thing to blame him over to begin with let alone make him risk his job to promise he won't turn away others. It's unfortunate her daughter passed away but what exactly could he have done?

    she means to say he should pay from his own pocket if that's the case how many such kind of people would come there and if he goes on to pay for every one he will go broke. Just because she couldn't afford treatment it was doctor fault ??? then what about other doctors who examined her daughter this is another logic less and disgusting story

    I feel for her, but she was still wrong in what she did and should have paid for it. The mother of the little boy had nothing to do with what her husband did. She didn't just hurt the doctor she hurt the child's mother and used an innocent child to do it. What she should have done was report the doctor to the medical board or association of doctors or whatever. Or she could have gone to a hospital for help. Naw, had it been me and she took my child it'd been her ass. She wouldn't be just walking out the police station feeling justified. Kidnapping is a federal offence so is misrepresenting yourself for the purpose of kidnapping a child. She'd be in jail if it were me...after I beat the living shit outta her....then I'd be getting a divorce....that doctor let a child die.. I couldn't stay with a man who did that. Even hospitals allow people without insurance to pay gradually.

    • @slipstreamxr3763

      In reality the Doctor would've probably told her he simply could not take their case but would've most likely referred her to St. Jude's or another charity or teaching hospital that could've better accommodated Emily not having insurance instead of just leaving them out in the cold. If a doctor can't take a patient, they still have to refer that patient to another doctor that can take them.

    • @soulsisterwillis
      @soulsisterwillis 2 роки тому

      @@slipstreamxr3763 That's what they are supposed to do but many do not. I have had doctors in clinics and hospitals simply say to me "I can't help you" and it wasn't because I had no insurance, because I did...they just didn't want to help me. My primary doctor sent me to see a Vascular specialist due to swelling in my legs and body. This man took one look at me and said "I can't help you" he was very rude and dismissive twords me. I told my primary doctor and he was shocked and appalled. Unfortunately I was young and didn't know my rights medical wise. I could have reported his behavior not only to the hospital board but to medicaid as well. I'm in a situation now where I'm being mistreated by medical staff and believe me once I get safely out of this place and don't have to fear for my food being poisoned or my meds being tampered with I will be reporting this place as well as certain staff members to the state as well as Medicare.
